Never mind all that expensive make up - you automatically become a beacon of glamour with that laptop bag over your leaky boobs

& your DH is like mine - I'm constantly having to say 'put that down' or 'don't you think it's too soon before dinner to be eating that?' & so on. I've told him that he can have the remaining corners of our wedding cake (most icing) & he keeps going on about how great I am like it's a really big deal. Men are strange.

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 19:25

Trista - Poor DS, I hope he feels better soon. And sod the cow from the council, hopefully you wont ever have to see her again.
Personally i'm dreaming of gin and tonics.
And you are not being unreasonable about DP, he needs to take responsibility, it's not about you being controlling. I hope you can sort things out before the baby arrives. We are always here to listen. x

puzzlerocks- i have finally emailed you re the buddy system.... not to worry if i have missed the boat. #

Hope all you lovely ladies are waddley and fine. I am just so busy, half term was completely manic with 2 dc at home and trying to reorganise our 2 bed house to accomodate the baby. All is good now as we have made the space needed.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 19:59

Thanks for the details Ilovesummer

i will be e-mailing details of your buddy(s) tommorow

ilovesummer · 23/02/2009 20:00

thank you smutty

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 20:02

Oh BB, bless you, I just read your leakage story.

mumblemumhome4lunch · 23/02/2009 20:04

Evening everyone.

Just a short post to let you know I'm still here even tho' haven't had chance to get on much lately. Have just spent about 45 mins doing a v. speedy catch up.

Springy - soooo sorry but I seem to have missed your tell all about the big day....sure it must be there somewhere !! Hope it went great and hope you had lovely weather, it was fab here on Friday and I kept thinking of you and how wonderfully lucky it would be if it was as sunny and spring-like for you

Kitty - when I was a first timer I was seriously worried as I never leaked when pregnant and only ever had 2 slight leaks whilst breastfeeded, both due to leaning on boobs whilst asleep and when engorged. Otherwise, not a drop......and I'd always thought EVERYONE leaked ! I was most worried it ment I didn't have sufficient milk supply but that was never a problem. 2nd time round was same and seems to be same again this time. I still have loads of breastpads brand new in their wrapper from first time round ! Be grateful as we seem to be in the minority !

Someone talking about home birthing????? Kitty, was it you ??? I'd say go for it IMO It's soo nice to labour at home and you can always opt to go into hospital at any time if you change your mind part way through.....for that reason I'd suggest everyone initially opt for a home birth unless there were medical reasons why you can't/shouldn't, like me this time but I'm still secretly planning on keeping quiet and holding out at home for as long as possible

It will be slightly dissapointing not to go in an ambulance this time......I've had blue flashy lights both times before, very 'casulty' and much more interesting a story for them when they grow up !!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 20:04

Puzzle i make that 24 in and 8 out

bronze · 23/02/2009 20:06

I would just like to state that I now hate Puzzle. I know how good she looks considering she has a small child and am utterly jealous

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 20:07

she's so sexy lol

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 20:09

Kitty - I haven't had any leakage with either pregnancy so don't panic. I don't have much in the ways of boobs though.

Nutty - Hell yes, a fancy dress meet up.

Sorry but I really am laughing now at the thought of BB's boob bag. A bit like the bum bags from the 80's.

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 20:11

ilovesummer - Good to have you on board. How have you been?

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 20:11

oooohhhh what could we have as a theme?

mathsmummy27 · 23/02/2009 20:12

I need a boob bag too! great idea.
Am in a bit of a dilemma abou work - ehlp me ladies - should I give up at 36 weeks or keep going until I pop?

I have just had the first ice of the day mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 20:12

Doh, sorry, busy I see. Our place is 2 bed as well so it is going to feel very cosy once the cot goes up.

OP posts:
BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 20:14

Mathsmummy, stop at week 36 you mad woman.

I hope they make a Hollywood film out of our thread, esp the fancy dress meet up bit.

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 20:20

Bronze - A hell of a lot of those photos are old and i'm very vain fussy about which recent ones go on facebook. I have only seen your wedding pics but you look pretty gorgeous to me. Just look at your children.

Nutty - Takes a fox to know one eh?

OP posts:
PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 20:23

Maths - STOP AT 36. STOP AT 36. Tis madness to do otherwise.

Nutty, is Frekkles in? If so I agree the numbers.

OP posts:
BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 20:25

Mathsmummy is needed on MN. She has responsibilities HERE!

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 20:27

Oh my, I have made this thread really disjointed with all my catch up posts.

Mumble - How are the wedding plans going?

OP posts:
bronze · 23/02/2009 20:28

Puzzle can't be that old. Hoe old is your daughter?

Mine on the other hand are old. About 7 years old when I was young and sprightly and not made haggard by 3.63 children.

Actually the .63 keeps kicking me and I can feel it as a very annoying thud in my bottom. Weird

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 20:37

DD is 22 months today. She turns 2 the day after my due date.
Which reminds me, does anyone know of a good novelty cake website. I would like to make her a kermit cake but don't really have a clue what i'm doing.

OP posts:
bronze · 23/02/2009 20:38

oooh hang on

bronze · 23/02/2009 20:40

a friend made this cake under instruction from another friend. Want me to get a copy of the recipe/instructions?

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 20:44

Oh wow, that would be fantastic if you could. Thanks very much.
