Hello all
Sorry don't have time to catch up at the minute, but NJ wanted to let you know that I just saw Photoshop Elements on sale from amazon.co.uk here

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 10/03/2009 12:24

Hi Diege- yes we finished the classes a week or so ago. This is our 2nd meet up which is great and exciting as the babies are starting to appear. Although it does make me a bit that I'm still with a bump and not a cute little bundle . Having said that everyone has been early so far, which is v unusual for first timers I suppose.

Hi Cosmo, hurray for 37wks! Thanks for the reminder about the surrogacy programme, I will watch that on catch up later on.

Right, hi everyone else- sorry to dash off but need a shower and my laptop battery is about to die.

afternoon all.... Sorry I have not been around much but we are going through a bad patch at the moment. DS is still feeding like a porker but is being really sick and is up screaming most of the night. He wont feed from 8 in the evening until about 3 and just screams and is sick constantly during this time..... DD had reflux I only pray it is not that. If anyone has any advise or idea what else it could be please let me know!!!!

KK yay so so pleased for you!!!

Astarte I have emailed you so sorry it is so late....

Hi everyone else!!! I am still loving being a mum of two but just hate seing my little boy in obvious pain.....

ohsnap · 10/03/2009 12:38

LB I was only thinking about you this morning, sorry you're having a hard time

It does sound rather like reflux (having had 2 myself), but maybe that isn't such a bad thing as at least it is treatable/manageable? If it is reflux (and maybe even if it isn't), have you considered cranial osteopathy? It really helped DD2, it reduced her reflux from bad to manageable.

Big wagonny stealth hugs and hoping things calm down for you soon. How are you and DD? Have your stitches improved now that they've been removed?

lardybump · 10/03/2009 12:47

DD is a star she is being so good with ds. I am just so proud of her! Stitches are all healed now thank god!!

Diege · 10/03/2009 15:08

I feel for you LB, that sounds awful . If it is reflux at least as OS says you can get help, rather than it being some mystery condition that everyone ignores. Have also heard than cranial osteopathy works wonders. Best of luck x

ohsnap · 10/03/2009 16:51

In theory we are skipping this month, but I'm not temping or counting days or anything, just leaving it to fate! Having said that, we haven't actually GOFfed once yet , I've been ill, DH has been working lots etc.

Glad to hear you're all healed, how are you and DP getting on now, have things calmed down now that DS is actually here?

Astarte · 10/03/2009 16:58

God I've had a hard day.....is it wine o'clock yet? I'm literally clock-watching waiting for Dh

How's everyone else been?

Astarte · 10/03/2009 17:01

Oh LB, do you have a sling?
With Dd1 we had to carry her upright in a pouch sling of an evening due to colic, could that be the problem?
It as the only relief she seemed to get poor little soul

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 10/03/2009 17:04

Hello Astarte, why is day hard? (other than 4 mini Astartes to look after!)

Im good. Been to NCT. So far 4 out of 7 babies have been early. Soooo unusual for 1st timers. The latest one was 12 days early!

OP posts:
SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 10/03/2009 17:11

Hi!

Astarte - hope your DH is home soon! Hope your day's not been too bad...

LB - sounds awful. I await all these joys...

OhSnap - where are you in your cycle?

Diege - you need to add yourself to the mat leave waiting list!!

My day's been ok. The disciplinary for that poor guy went as I hoped so he won't be completely out of a job - just demoted and final written warning - which is quite good all things considered...

Am off this evening to catch up with a friend and DH is away for the night at the football. (Lucky sod is at the Liverpool v Real Madrid match with freebie tickets from work even though he's not a football fan!)

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 10/03/2009 17:11

Hello GYo! Sorry x-posted. That's incredible to have so many early babies!!!

lastboxoftampons · 10/03/2009 17:13

I always seem to be the last one to weigh in and then there's no more dates left!

Hi everyone

LB poor DS I'm sorry I don't have any advice.

Kay your MIL sounds like a dream Luckily mine is so wrapped up in herself she doesn't seem to notice us! She actually once said that she wishes one of her sons were gay because gay men are more devoted to their mothers Don't you wonder what happens to women between when their sons grow up and get married - is there some sort of transformation that occurs? I hope I'm never like that!

GYO - amazing that all of those babies were early! I just sent in my NCT cheque - I felt like I called about classes so early, but in the end, the organiser called me to tell me that they were holding my spot because they class was nearly full and that I had better send my money in Just sent it on Saturday! Did you feel the classes were useful? our last class is on Monday 20 July and I'm due on Friday 24th!!! It was the only class available nearby.

Astarte - sorry you've had a rough day! Have a bottle glass of wine for me...!

OS - The month we got lucky, I had basically written TTC off and we didnt manage much well-timed GOFing, so you never know!

Cosmogirl · 10/03/2009 17:17

Wow GYo - hope you are next. That's exciting. Friend of mine just had her first DC 11 days early - maybe it isn't that unusual.

Baby going crazy today -wiggling all over. Doesn't help with the nausea much..

kayzr · 10/03/2009 17:21

OS, I am with LBOT. I completely wrote off this time last year as I had been ill, DH had been ill and I thought we had missed OV. 9 months later DS2 arrived. Plus December is a lovely month to have a baby.

Astarte, sorry today has been pants. Hope tomorrow is better.

LB, Your poor little man. I hope whatever it is clears up soon. It does sound like reflux.

GYo, so looking at the run of things with your NCT group, you should have baby GYo early.

Astarte · 10/03/2009 17:24

just the 4 of them really, I'm a bit tired is prolly it.

i have put the tv on, seems to be working atm.

Ooh those monkeys give me the heebs!

My MIL is a saint compared to some of yours

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 10/03/2009 17:28

Hi LBOT

It does feel early that you have to commit to the NCT classes. I was quite hesitant at the time a) as it felt early and b) I was really worried about them being really "mumsie" but they've been great.

The information was useful - potentially its stuff you could learn from some good books but it gives a chance to ask questions and hear other peoples questions which are always good) and also think about having a child in a different way that was good for DH... I think!

The massive plus (lots of people say this) is that the group I've met are lovely lovely and Im really looking forward to staying in touch with them. Its great for me as I really dont know that many people in my local area, so i've now got a great local network of people in same situation as me.

Cosmo- Sorry for wriggling making you feel sick, I find it is like a washing machine at times! Are you getting feet in your ribs?

OP posts:
SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 10/03/2009 17:32

Me too - my MIL is really chilled - maybe it comes from having 6 children and 8 grandchildren -(nearly 9!) I'm sure it also helps that she's hundreds of miles away in Ireland too...

My Mum on the other hand can be a real nightmare and only lives 10 mins away... Fortunately I do have a relationship with her - she just tries to control me and for some reason thinks I'm her best friend!

kayzr · 10/03/2009 17:34

I had some excitement today. My corset I ordered from ebay for goth weekend arrived and I love it!!!

It still has some room for tightening it up further as I lose weight.

It only cost me £9.99.

lardybump · 10/03/2009 18:05

Evening all. I dont think it is reflux with ds because I have fed him four times today and there has been no sick... I think it could be colic as astate says and because he has such trapped wind then come the evening all the milk that goes on top of it just comes back up....... I do have a sling and I am going to use it tonight if we go through the same thing.....

Astarte I have emailed you again..... Great big sloppy kisses to you!!!!!!!

I am out of maternity clothes now yay.....

ohsnap · 10/03/2009 18:36

Aw LB, maybe it is just colic, in which case it won't last more than a few weeks (hopefully!), hope this evening goes well with the sling.

Ses, lalala I'm not listening [sticks fingers in ears], I don't know what CD I'm on and I'm not looking! AF is due on 1st April (ish) so I'll let you know then!

Cosmogirl · 10/03/2009 18:46

GYo - yep feet in the ribs and sides...muchos hiccuping daily too

GruffaloSoldier · 10/03/2009 19:15

Evening everybody!

LB sorry to hear about DS I hope you can sort things out for him!

Gyo - that is amazing re early births - I hope its something in the water round this way

Cosmo/Gyo - can def sympathise with feet in ribs, lots of hiccups and wriggles! Also have terrible backache today after playing with 3 year old LO I look after and have had the most horrendous wind for over a week now Pains are keeping me awake at night

One more day of work WAHOO!

Hello everyone else - I should really catch up properly but I desperately need my dinner now
