Eat away ladies...
xx

becksydee · 11/04/2009 16:15

damn right BumbVLump! just about to head up to sainsburys to grab an obscenely large easter egg to munch on tomorrow later DP is jewish so no point me sitting around waiting for him to buy one for me!

btw, for anyone who reads the guardian on here, my DP's account of what happened to him at the G20 protests last week is in today's paper on page 10

ScummyMummy · 12/04/2009 21:47

You're right- babies DO need chocolate eggs, bvl!

oonagh- really glad to hear all is well with Ollie's heart.

MichaelaS- you sound like you're doing really well in repressing your worry and getting on with things. Fingers and toes crossed that all will be well.

I had a nice scan last week. Had to take my boys as it's Easter hols and they amused me with commentary such as : "It's got my eyes, mummy!" The baby is fine. We didn't find out the sex. It seems to have quite a big nose though! Have to go back for another scan at 34 weeks as the placenta is a bit low lying at the moment but apparently this is quite common and nothing to panic about.

OonaghBhuna · 13/04/2009 20:19

MichaelaS- I wanted to add some support here too. I am sure it is a good thing that the proffessionals are aware of your situation.I will keep everything crossed for you.

We had a great Easter Sunday, the sun shone and we were outside all day, we also visited a beautiful National Trust property where we all had a picnic. It was so lovely to get outside and enjoy some warm weather. However today was dull and cold

Hope everyone and the bumps are all well X

HellHathNoFury · 13/04/2009 20:34

Hello Ladies
Initially joined the Sept thread until I found out I was due in August.

Hope you are all well, I am the size of a small house and fantasising about maternity leave.

I live in Ealing - anyone nearby?

duchesse · 13/04/2009 20:35

Hello Hell. Nowhere near Ealing I'm afraid, but welcome to August!

becksydee · 14/04/2009 09:22

welcome hell. i'm in north London (Tufnell Park) so not particularly near Ealing, but possibly nearer than other people on this thread

i know what you mean about fantasising about maternity leave, i'm ready for mine right now! in fact, i think i might write that letter to my boss today to let her know when my last day will be ...

kitkatqueen · 14/04/2009 11:17

Hello Hell!!

Hope everyone had a lovely easter, and isn't feeling too chubby!! I managed to save my children from serious chocolate overdoses but only just

We had a very busy weekend emptying the fishpond ripping out bushes and generally casing havoc in my usually tidy garden. My car is dead as a dodo needing a new gearbox and I too now have the carseat issue!! Getting all the kids into an audi a3. Nightmare!!!! I don't normally even collapse my sons buggy I just lift it straight into the boot of my car and suddenly i'm having to remove the seat collapse the frame and remove the wheels!?!?!? I love my scruffy old car and want it back!!!

Michaelas Hope u r not getting too stressed! I agree with the others - it must be a good thing if they are aware and can keep an eye on the situation. Have you started a thread yet? You might get some really good advice from people who have been there too.

Just a reminder too that this thread can only take about 1000 posts and we are getting close now. I will post a link to the new thread shortly.
Anyone heard from heinzsight lately???

Also wondering if it would be a good idea to attach our rough location to "the list" ie i'm in Norfolk.

opinions? obviously you would only need to if you wanted too...

MichaelaS · 14/04/2009 11:19

Hi all, thanks for the support again. Can't wait until thurs 23rd when we have the next scan, to see if my cervix is staying stable/improving or is getting worse. Have been reading the BLISS boards which have been really helpful, seems like progesterone works for most people and some people have actually grown more cervix using it - so here's hoping!

welcome hell, i'm in East london but we have quite a lot of friends in Ealing as dh lived there for 15 years. He was in west ealing, near the swimming pool. are you in "proper" ealing?

Haribosmummy · 15/04/2009 08:16

Hello all, just a quickie from me!

Fury I'm in Herts, so not a million miles away... I'm having my baby at The Portland so come into London for my AN care... I'm always up for a latte and a natter!!!

I have my next check up this week so will get a little progress update and hear the heart beat though the baby is moving noticbly now, which is lovely and comforting!! (as is my 10 month old DS, who can now crawl at the speed of light I have to watch him like a hawk!!!!

Speaking of which, he's off AGAIN

Best go!!

trixymalixy · 16/04/2009 13:26

Hi,

Quick hello from me.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend. We were down at my ILs and it felt like a real break. Caught a bit too much sun though .

Thanks for the mamas and papas link, got some trousers and a vest top for £8. The delivery cost was a bit of a killer though.

When is everyone thinking of finishing up on mat leave. I'm thinking of finishing at 31 weeks for various reasons one of which is going before they make me redundant so it has to be deferred until i come back. Plus I have potentially unlimited time off at the end of mat leave so no worries about extra time to spend with the baby!
