Ok so I'll start it off.

Has anyone else had a huge increase in discharge? It's gone from clear and not too much to thick and white, and copious amounts.

Hi all,

I haven't posted in a couple of months but have been dipping in and out for a read. I've fallen off the list so here goes...

Due 18th March DS 4 and DD 3.

Congratulations to all those who had their babies already. Making it all very real. It's great to be on Maternity leave at last and to begin to get things sorted for number 3. DH and i can't agree on any girls names..I like Charlotte any thoughts?

Wheelybug · 05/03/2009 15:16

Congratulations Goldmother - look forward to hearing the details and name !

There seem to be quite a few quick births around here at the moment - please let it be catching .

Nothing to report here. Have been feeling so well and energetic this week I have done loads of walking today plus a yoga class... now aching so was probably a bit much ! Out tonight as well.

Welcome Madigan - sorry to hear you're feeling so terrible.

lilymolly · 05/03/2009 15:23

madigan

You sound exactly like me, so massive sympathies.

Lets hope all the birth stories inspire my little one to pop out early.
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeese

laweaselmys · 05/03/2009 16:25

Yay. Well done goldmother lots of babies is exciting.

karvol nope - not yet! DP's going to go and fetch it on saturday. I am on orders from my dad to go into labour before then so he can drive the baby back home at 90mph (it's tradition apparently... he used to race cars) and on orders from DP to wait until he gets back!

Just saw the midwife and my blood pressure has gone up for the first time possibly ever in my entire life, as my HB is ridiculously stable. Possibilities are:
a) bad news. Something might be wrong (but no other 'bad' symptoms so unlikely.
b) good news. Sometimes blood pressure goes up right before labour!
c) playing tetris in the waiting room wound me up a bit...

I am voting for b, and feeling quite optimistic.

At any rate she's coming round for a home visit on Tuesday to check up on me if I haven't had baby girl before then.

honey123 · 05/03/2009 16:31

Wow, congratulations everyone, twocute, your story made me cry, it was exactly what I was hoping for in terms of a HB. I can't believe I'm now 4 days overdue, DD1 & 2 both arrived on time, I don't feel any more likely to pop than I did 3 weeks ago. Nothing seems to be happening at all, apart from my frustration mounting! I now have a date for induction as MW doesn't advise me going too over due to age (40) and family history of pre-eclampsia. Now its just curry, rasp leaf tea, black cohosh, pineapple, walking, etc etc.

kanga5 · 05/03/2009 17:02

Congrats to Mandy, Goldmother and Dinny. Welcome to the new arrivals both babies and those new to the thread!

Loved your birth story two/threecute. You sounded so in control, it was a very moving story.

MKG hope your labour kicks off soon...it gets so frustrating at the business end of pregnancy, but I keep telling myself that, being 37+3 now, that I have a MAXIMUM of 4(ish) weeks left being pregnant. That makes me feel better.

I especially feel encouraged by all the imminent signs of everyone alse as I feel we are in the same position. Surely I won't go into APRIL????

grinningbee · 05/03/2009 17:21

Afternoon everyone, and congrats to the latest arrivals!

I'm 37 weeks today. Been getting lots of BH's but also (and maybe someone can tell me if I'm right here?) what I think may be the odd proper contraction. It feels like a very tight band just under my ribs, and is different to the all over tightening of the BH.

After thinking I hadn't done too bad in the stretch mark department, I had a bath today and saw that I've gone all purple zebra down my left side! Right side is fine though...

I have an all day "antenatal workshop" tomorrow. I'm dreading it really as I'm so uncomfortable just sitting now. I hope it's at least mildly interesting or I'll be asleep!

Hey ho.

lizziemun · 05/03/2009 17:35

mamasmurf

We've settled for Charlotte Rose if we have another girl.

We already have dd1 Elizabeth Anne and DD2 Alexandra Grace so we needed another classic name.

laweaselmys · 05/03/2009 17:48

Kanga - asked my midwife about that today - she said they will only let your go 10 days overdue here, so I will definitely have a march baby whatever happens. Hope that's true for you to! I would hate to have baby girl in a later month than expected...

meep · 05/03/2009 17:50

Hi Madigan - glad you've joined us all!

auntyspan · 05/03/2009 18:30

Hi everyone!

Just to let you know I gave birth to our GORGEOUS DD2 on sunday (1st) at 1:26pm. She weighed 8lb 8oz and we've called her Lydia Violet.

My waters went on Sunday morning and they brought my section forward. Came out of hospital yesterday and am REALLY enjoying this one. BF going well.
Will post more when have time!

Madigan · 05/03/2009 19:37

Congratulations auntyspan on your DD! Glad all is going well.

Anyone else due in a couple of weeks? I have c section booked 20 March, and counting down the days .... but have a feeling this one might arrive early ...... don't know why!

twocutedarlings · 05/03/2009 19:50

Just managed to skim read some the most recent posts.

Alex is still doing really well, i fed him last night at 11, he woke at 3 fed for 15 mins he was burped and we were back fast asleep within 25 mins , he then slept till 6.45 ! i feel so blessed to have him and of corse the fact the he so good so far is obviously an added bounus!!

The MW is coming out tomorrow to do the heel prick thingy bob test (3rd time round i should really know what its called ) lets hope its all over quickly.

honey123 have you booked in for a HB? you dont have to be induced, you can opt for daily monitoring.

jollyjoanne · 05/03/2009 19:51

Congratulations to Goldmother and to Auntyspan!

Welcome to Madigan!

We are going to need a new thread soon, so I suppose we're going to have decide whether we're ante or post natal?

I am getting really jealous of everyone who is having babies especially those having the quicker labours and the minimal tearing. Somehow I imagine that would be too much like wishful thinking for me.

Boobz · 05/03/2009 20:27

I vote ante... (but then I reckon I still have 4 weeks to go!)

Congrats Aunty! Pictures please! xxx

laweaselmys · 05/03/2009 20:48

We should stay ante until the end of march at least I think.

lilymolly · 05/03/2009 21:19

Lydia violet is our chosen name if we have a girl- how wierd!!

Lovely though x

HopingCat · 05/03/2009 22:34

We're thinking of Lydia for a girl too!
If anyone is updating the list, I am now 30 years old. At least I got to enjoy my 30th (in a quiet way) and was not in labour on birthday. Would be very happy to go into labour now though. Like a few other people have said, I'm getting strong BH sometimes but not every day. With DD I had no signs at all, just went into labour at 4am at 39+6. So I suppose it should not worry me that the BH come and go, as this may not be a sign of anything anyway.

Congratulations to everyone whose babies have arrived. Wonder who's next?

Wheelybug · 05/03/2009 22:38

Congratulations Auntyspan ! Lovely name.

titmouse · 06/03/2009 09:23

congratualtins aunty!

I think emma might be in labour! She posted about 10.30 last night on the pregnancy and childbirth threads, so let's hope it's good news soon!
