Ok so I'll start it off.

Has anyone else had a huge increase in discharge? It's gone from clear and not too much to thick and white, and copious amounts.

they say prob when born, one shoulder came out, then other - i remember having to do two or three huge pushes to get them out. what´s weird is it wasn´t spotted at first ped check-up straight after she was born.

they say strap it up for 2 weeks (arm across chest), which is makign the whole skin to skin contact in bed thing a bit tricky!

said it´s common, cures itself and nothing to worry about. i haven´t even had time to check it out online yet, will do so now.

Fifi massive congratulations!

Laumiere massive congratulations!

Law so to hear about your Mum.

Sorry I've not been around much, just been so busy work-wise since Xmas. 36 + 1 today, final additional growth & doppler scan Thurs. Still not taking anything for granted (and I never will again) but starting to think this may really happen now... .
CS planned for 16 March - hooray!
Love to everyone - hang in there!
xx

Missmodular · 22/02/2009 21:10

Gosh, I go offline for two days and two babies are born!! Huge congratulations Laumiere and Fifi

I managed not to go into labour during the house move, thank goodness, but the downside is my blood pressure is up, so I've got another appt with the midwife tomorrow to keep an eye on it.

I'm now off to Google my bp to see how high it really is. I know I shouldn't....

Wheelybug · 22/02/2009 22:13

Congratulations Fifi !! I hope the feeding sorts out and the shoulder.

All seems to be happening now !!

I've had a bit of a despondant weekend - worrying about the unstable lie of my baby and worrying about what would happen if I went into labour. Luckily see MW on tuesday as they are coming to talk about my birth plan (which seems a bit laughable at the moment as am more than likely facing c-sec) and then consultant/reg on Friday.

Can't remember if I posted yesterday (and can't now go back and check as I'd lose what I'd posted - dur !) but we got the nursery finally sorted out yesterday which makes it all seem pretty imminent !!

Looking forward to hearing more news on babies popping !!

Wheelybug · 22/02/2009 22:14

Missmod - sorry to hear about your BP. Make sure they take it after you've rested for 10-20 mins as it makes a real difference. Hope its ok tomorrow.

Good luck with the induction tomorrow Titchy.

lolianja · 23/02/2009 01:26

Huge congrats to Fifi.

Ooh, and I've got the runs and menstrual-esque aches as of about forty five minutes ago. It couldn't be ... could it?

jollyjoanne · 23/02/2009 08:42

Congrats to fifi and laumiere, it is all starting to seem very real now.

Went out to the engagement party on Sat, it went fine although I am sure everyone thought the baby might just drop out there and then. Becos there were some very strange looks at the enormous bump.

But I am still paying for the lack of sleep, and feel completely shattered at present.

Good luck to titchy.

lolianja - oooh another potential baby - you'll have to keep us informed if it progresses into labour!

Congrats to laumiere and fifi.

Thought I was going to go last night, (think the same every night) as I had 3 contractions an hour apart but I went to bed and they stopped. Guess it was just BH. I've got no more appts now until 41weeks so feeling a bit neglected. GP was not very good on thursday. Didn't measure bump. Didn't know how the baby was laying. Now I have no idea what to expect labour wise cos don't know if its back to back or not.

Oh well. Just remembered have to phone for iron levels this week so am off to do that now to see if they are back.

Hope everyone has a good day. x

Slickbird · 23/02/2009 10:16

Blimey! What a weekend!

Huge congratulations to Laumiere & Fifi - Don't feel too dispondent just yet, early stages of BFing can be very hard going and typically your milk doesn't come in until 3 days. And as for trying to express, that can take weeks for some people to manage so don't feel you are doing anything wrong. I hope it works out for you. xx

Well, thanks for the messages of support re DH. He came through in the end on Sat when he came back with a bunch of flowers to say sorry (which he doesn't normally do - I mean, he does say sorry and he does buy flowers but not at the same time!!) And then that night we went to see Slumdog Millionaire, so he redeemed himself. Good job really! He still has to behave tho!

Well, I too thought I was going into labour last night as I had an almighty contraction while lying on the couch - really sore and then BH and then an emptying of bowels. But no, after an anxious night, I am still in one piece with an even sorer f*nny! I think I will have to take painkillers so I don't know if the contraction last night moved the baby's head down further. Oh well, I'm 39 + 2 so it can't be too much longer.

DD1's b-day party went well yesterday and she really enjoyed herself. Now I have to go get cake for her actual birthday tomorrow. Don't know if my F*nny is going to make it to the shops tho!

Hope everyone is good.

Lolijana - doesn't sound like too long now. Good luck!

Wheelybug · 23/02/2009 10:52

OOh sounds promising there might be some more babies soon ! Hurrah !!

Got really stressed last night, worrying about what would happen if I went into labour with baby still in odd position. I know there are lots of factors which need to all coincide for it to be a disaster (I have to go into earlyish labour, my waters have to break and particularly with a gush, the baby has to be in odd position still and the cord has to prolapse and then me not be able to get to hospital in time.....) but you know, you never stop worrying do you ? Sobbed for about half an hour to DH this morning as I didn't want him to go to work but stay at home in case something happened but I know realistically he can't. Am seeing MW tomorrow to discuss my birth plan (ha ha ha) so will have a chat to her which may or may not make me feel better. If not, might get my Mum to stay for a couple of days (which she will come up no probs but I'd rather get on with life normally if I can).

Millie26 · 23/02/2009 11:06

Oh wow!! Congrats fifi and laumiere!!!!

Fab news!

Gabriel is my favourite boy's name in the world - cant wait to see photos, please post some both of you!

xx

lollipopz · 23/02/2009 12:08

Hey every one wow we have more babies I feel so far behind at nearly 36 weeks! Big congrats fifi and laumiere

kanga5 · 23/02/2009 12:27

Big welcome to Laumiere and Fifi's babies...I am not logged on for two days and this happens...better check in everyday! Fifi my DS2 slept 8 hour stretches the first couple of days and I got into trouble with MV. BF went well in the end as milk came in. As everyone says check the nappy is wet.

I didn't log in as had horrid weekend with two DS vomiting until 4 am Sunday morning after a half term trip to an indoor play centre on Friday. It was noisy, hot, smelly, heaving with kids, and bugs obviously. Yuk yuk yuk. Spent whole weekend doing endless washing.

All ok now but all at home, not school, to give them time to recover.

I am 36 weeks today and I feel the same as you lollipopz. It seems ages off and I could even have an April baby if it hangs in there. It is so exciting to read about all those getting closer though...I WILL get organised soon

CaptainKarvol · 23/02/2009 12:40

Hi all, it's all getting very thrilling with these babies and contractions and all

I was awake literally half the night with a combination of DS's fidgiting and requests for 'biiiig cuddles' and a series of really painful contractions. I am evil mummy from hell today.

I don't remember getting BHs last time - can't miss them this time, they wake me up and take my breath away. Still, no show, and I'm only just 37+1 - DS didn't arrive till 41 weeks, so I'm not holding my breath.

lollipopz · 23/02/2009 12:43

I know April is a depressing thought! I am finally organised I think, couldn't decide on a pram but eventually decided on Phil and Teds as DS will need to go in 2! Should arrive on Wed hopefuly then I will be really fed up! Finished work on Friday so nothing to do now but sit and wait!

livismum · 23/02/2009 14:04

Hi all massive congrats to fifi and laumiere!

Have been on mat leave for a week now but not sure how i would have fitted in work with half term anyway!

Also havin major f*nny pain! real piercing pain that takes my breath away i'm guessing nerve pain? as baby is fairly low?

Havin BH and baby moving is very uncomfortable i too keep thinking ooh is this it? but no! not 37wks till sat so dont want it till at least then anyway, also never experienced the whole hiccup thing with DD but this one seems to have them every night, lovely!

Hope everyones havin a good monday xx

Missmodular · 23/02/2009 14:43

Hi all - well this could be it - I've been told by my midwife to go into the labour ward this afternoon as BP is still up and they need to take some blood tests. They may well send me home again but I remember thinking that the last time I went into the labour ward 'just to see' and came out five days later with DD! Am really hoping it's a false alarm as I don't feel ready(!), but will keep you posted...

meep · 23/02/2009 15:03

goodness- these babies seem to be popping out now

Good luck Missmodular!

I'm only 35+2 so (hopefully) have a way to go - though baby is coming out the sunroof at 39+2 so all things going acccording to plan I will be with child again 4 weeks today - whoo hoo!

I am getting lots of BH this time round as well - I scare the lady that sits opposite me at work on a daily basis. Drinking lots of water seems to help!

Also doing lots of bowel emptying - and when I have to go I have to go! Think the baby must be pressing on my bowel at the moment - though I do remember many many toilet trips when I started having contractions last time (and wondering whether I could seriously ask my dh to wipe my bum for me as I kept having contractions and it was all too much .......I never did ask him though, I thought there were some things that you just don't share if you ever want to have a sex life again !)
