Hi, I got a bfp just over a week ago, think I will due around 1st oct not tosure though as i have not had a period since i mc on 18thDecember. I did do a test 2 weeks ago that was neg and have since done about 10 all of which have been positive so I am really starting to believe this is a new pregnancy. I also had a mc last July with twins so now I am really worried it will happen again! I have 3 gorgeous children 2 boys age 5 and 2 and a little girl age 1 and 3 months. So this will be my fourth. I have suffered 3 mc altogether and just really want to get to 12 weeks so am hopeing I can join you all here.

BellaCullen · 30/01/2009 18:53

Hi all,
can I join?Quite new to MN.
Got positive yesterday and again today, completly unexpected as havent been ttc,but absolutely overjoyed by it.Will be due 3rd Oct.It all hasnt sunk in yet.
Got period like cramps today and backs killing me,feeling a bit sick but also hungry.will probably wait till scan to tell everyone. Not sure when to go doctor maybe next week. Already have 2dc one ds,7years and one dd,nearly 3 years. Cant wait to have a scan and see the baby won`t seem real till then.

HumphreysCorner · 30/01/2009 18:54

You are most welcome lizzie9442. I am sorry to hear about your MC's. This is something we all worry about so like to be able to share our thoughts on here.

Thanks HC.Is anyone going to have a 3D,4D scan? When do you have them and can anyone recomend a company?Would love to have one this time they look great as you can see so much detail.

DevilsAdvocaat · 30/01/2009 20:04

i had one done here.
it was fab and would recommend it to anyone

BellaCullen · 30/01/2009 20:14

They look great and prices are good, but sadly too far for me,I live in London.but definetly want one now.

HumphreysCorner · 30/01/2009 20:18

They are quite expensive aren't they? Have always wanted one but the cost put me off.

OP posts:
DevilsAdvocaat · 30/01/2009 20:18

if you want a 4d one i think the best time is 24-30 weeks.

i also lived in london when i had it done, only 1 hrs drive, cheaper than a lot in london!

CalypsoFlame · 30/01/2009 20:53

The Future Babies 4D scan looks amazing! I think I'll save that as a treat for later, being a complete technology nerd

For something a bit more basic, Lewisham NHS hospital (in south London) do scans for £75
www.lewisham.nhs.uk/privateultrasound.php#pregnancy. I was thinking of doing this later next week so I could take something to show my parents when I tell them before they leave for a long trip abroad, even though I'll only just be over 6 weeks.

theboob · 31/01/2009 06:47

morning all and welcome to all the newbies
i will be having a 4D scan ,it really looks amazing, hope you are all well

HumphreysCorner · 31/01/2009 09:23

Morning ladies

Have taken my last temp this morning (have withdrawal symptoms already) and at 3am I did my Digi conception indicator and luckily it came up 3+ within a short time. I knwo it it is not guarantee but it does sort of prove things are OK ish at the moment. Long way to go until a MW visit and scan though.

Feel very nauseous today. Going to mum and dad's tomorrow for out annual post Christmas Dinner with my bro, SIL and 2 nephews. Hope the nausea stays away as I don't want my bro and SIL to suspect as SIL wasn't very nice when I told her I was TTC. She said it was stupid as I would be 50 when they are 10 years old. Well, so will most of the celebs who are having babies late on.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

HC it really annoys me when people feel the need to pass judgement if you choose to have another baby.....in what way would it affect your SIL life when you are 50 and DC is 10?
sorry just really bugs me,my MIL will not speak to us since we told her i was PG nothing at all has been a week now and still no word, poor DH is a little upset but it will be her loss .

sorry rant over

BellaCullen · 31/01/2009 10:52

HC just try and ignore. Its only up to you when to have a baby and nothing to do with anyone else.
Not sure how to tell my SIL shes lovely but having fertility problems and seeing a specialist at moment.Feel guilty that Im pregnant again, last time she had been trying for 7 months when I got pregnant.Anyone any idea how to tell her?
I told my sister whos really happy for me and cant wait for this new baby.just had to tell someone to make it more real.

HumphreysCorner · 31/01/2009 10:59

Bella-when I worked in a Bank there was a girl having IVF and I dreaded telling her but she was over the moon for me and was glad I told her to her face and not let her find out from someone else.

theboob-we won't be telling MIL until we have a scan so don't know how she will be. When DD2 was born she and FIL said 'we want a boy out of you'. Since she has said we shouldn't bring any more children into this credit crunch world. Although DH and I suppose me would like a boy I am hoping it is a girl. I wonder if my SIL was funny about it because she will now have to buy 3 lots of presents and we will only have to buy 2. They have always dictated what we should so present wise to keep the costs down hence we don't buy each other B'Day presents, only buy for the children. Isn't life difficult sometimes?

Cooking leek, potato and onion soup at the mo as I feel soup may be my only eating option very soon. Not complaining though.

Laters!

BellaCullen · 31/01/2009 11:12

Thanks for that HC will tell her soon .She adores the other 2 so sure shell be happy its just bad timing. Its so unfair she loves kids and would be a great mum, hope she has one one day shes on the waiting list for IVF now but takes 2-3 years.
Not having many symptoms at moment my boobs are not hurting much which worries me a bit. Feel sick though and still got a few cramps and itchy tummy from where skin is stretching.
My parents are coming over from Germany at Easter so that will be good time to tell them also should have had scan by then so will have pictures to show.

doggus · 31/01/2009 13:15

Hi all and welcome to all the newbies!

Thank you for the reassuring words regarding the tests. I did one more this morning and it said 4/5 weeks, which I think is OK. I am not going to do another one now, they are causing far too much trouble!

What I am particularly worried about is an ectopic as it seems to run in our family.

I went out to dinner with some friends last night and got SO sick of them hassling me to drink that I just blurted it out. I am a loser when it comes to keeping a secret!

Bellacullen - my boobs aren't hurting either but they are itching! Like you say must be skin stretching. And I am sure my tummy is expanding already as my jeans are tight.

HumphreysCorner · 31/01/2009 13:49

doggus-which test was that as I thought the Clearblue only went up to 3+. Good news for you though. Need to think up an excuse incase the PIL ask me if I would like a drink. I am the biggest alcoholic in the family so to turn down wine means there is a definite problem with me.

OP posts:
doggus · 31/01/2009 14:16

Sorry HC I meant it showed 2/3 weeks on the test which means 4-5 weeks in reality. It's still a bit wrong as I think I am now 5 weeks and 2 days but am trying not to worry about that as they are not THAT accurate.

lizzie9442 · 31/01/2009 14:18

HC - I think doggus means it said 2-3 which would make her 4-5 weeks pregnant. hope every one doing well.I'm going to the theatre tonight but I'm feeling quite sick today so hope I feel bit better later.

lizzie9442 · 31/01/2009 14:19

sorry cross posted x

HumphreysCorner · 31/01/2009 14:54

Ah, I see. Even the leaflet confirms the low accuracy of them. I know the day I OV'd (CD 12) so you may have OV'd later than that. Are you going to do anymore tests in a weeks time?

lizzie-have a great night and try and stay awake. DH now home and now I have to get ready to go to B&Q, Pizza Hut then PIL. I have absolutely no energy whatsoever and could easy crawl into my bed. Legs feel like lead.

Catch y'as later!

Hi everyone from the other thread!!! Have been keeping quite as can't quite believe it yet and am terrified it is all going to disappear!

Anyway, I have reached 35 days which last time I didn't so I thought I would add myself to the list as celebration even though I am terrified. Cramps are mild and I am feeling increasingly sick in the mornings, and evenings, oddly! Not at lunchtime though. I am also eating for Britain, sleepy in the evenings and a little crazy - laughing easily and then getting really moody in the next five minutes. Crying at the TV too.

theboob don't understand your MIL - why so grumpy!

Hope everyone is ok Good luck to eveyone

This wait until the scan is excrutiating! I just want to enjoy it but I worry quite a lot!

According to one of these internet due date calculator, I am due on the 2nd October...
