Here goes-I got a BFP on DPO 11 which makes me due 1st October. Was going to avoid the antenatal thread until I was completely sure but have already done 3 tests and am still not convinced. Come on and join in the worry fun.

HC poo is my specialist subject! Orange can be caused by a variety of reasons.

Have you eaten pale or yellow/orange foods or drink?

All poo is orange before it turns brown so could just be that your digestive system is running too fast.

Some antacids contain a substance which makes your poo orange.

I wouldn't worry about any of these unless it continues for more than a fortnight.

Oh dear there is a lot of MS pain around isn't there. Sorry for those having a bad time.

I have started getting a bit queasy in the afternoons so maybe that's going to be my full experience of it... in a weird way I feel I'm missing out on a proper pregnancy!

BTW... this is my first one and I cannot bear the idea of intercourse since I found out, like it would (TMI) wash it out or something. Even though I know rationally it would be fine. But DH is not getting it for the forseeable

That's not just me is it

DevilsAdvocaat · 21/02/2009 14:03

baby sorry about your news

altagloria i had only afternoon nausea with ds, only sick a couple of times. however, this time i have been sick loads and constant nausea. maybe your next pg you will get the full ms!

dh's gma is sick so he's gone up to see her in london and then gone off to brighton for tonight to do best man duties with his mate. i am lolling about feeling sorry for myself counting the hours til he gets back to take ds.

bananapaddlepop · 21/02/2009 14:43

Hello all,

Can I join in this thread? I've just done two positive preg tests.....I'm still in shock as i'd given up even thinking about it happening. We've been trying 12 months and I was just getting ready to go to doctors to ask about fertility treatments etc

I think I will be due around the 25th Oct - but very well could end up in november as I have a long and unpredictable cycle...making working out dates tricky.

I'm still in shock....

altagloria · 21/02/2009 14:51

Welcome banana and congratulations!

Any symptoms to relate to us symptom-spotters?

bananapaddlepop · 21/02/2009 14:54

Just a bit more exhausted than normal.....which was the same as my previous pregnancy. I slept for the practically the first 3 months..

bloody hell, what a shock. It's my birthday tomorrow, such a great present.

DevilsAdvocaat · 21/02/2009 20:07

yay for bananas

LittleMissBliss · 21/02/2009 21:22

Does anyone else feel really tired but cant sleep? I go to bed at night, fall asleep, but im awake in the small hours unable to sleep again, ive started getting up at 4am every morning.

DevilsAdvocaat · 22/02/2009 10:51

yes littlepea!
i go to bed so tired but can't get to sleep as my thoughts are racing.
i woke up at 3.35 this morning (3rd morning in a row!). i think it's your hormones getting you ready for night feeds. i remember last time waking up and reading for 30mins in the night regularly!

going to a meet the neighbours drinks thing at 12. hope i won't be sick whilst i am there. dh won't be there as he is visiting his gma who is very sick now i hope he'll be ok and i can hold a conversation without being all weird and distant.

HumphreysCorner · 22/02/2009 14:12

HappyTangerine · 22/02/2009 14:43

Babyinacorner - just read your post, am so sorry

Happy birthday and congratulations Banana

DevilsAdvocaat-sorry to hear about your DH granma, have a good time tonight.

Bougth a new car yesterday, had some toothache when I was walking round looking at cars but the main problem has been the sickness - it's definately worse in the afternoon for me but am getting all day nausea and some vomiting now.

Woke up at 4am today with raging toothache, agonising.Paracetemol didn't touch the pain. Was sick 2 hrs later. Rang an emergency no. at 9am and saw an emergency dentist at 11am. He confirmed the pulp of the tooth is infected and wouldn't take it out as they don't extraxt teeth in first trimester. I have erythromycin antibiotics (app safe in pg). Threw up on journey home, have been sitting here crying and miserable ever since. I hope they start working soon and that I can keep them down.

HumphreysCorner · 22/02/2009 15:00

Oh, HappyTangerine how awful. Having suffered wisdom tooth pain for years before they were taken out I can sympathise as you just can't get away from the pain. I hope you manage to keep the AB's down as they should work quite soon.

Good afternoon LADIES!

Can someone reserve a seat for me in the corner please?

I did a test on Tuesday, after feeling nauseous, tired (all the time), 'peckish' to the point of gluttony and like my nipples are on fire. I can get a doctor's appointment until March 2nd and am REALLY nervous becuse I had 3 unsuccessful pregnancies min the last 3 years. Have had a gorgeous DS during that time though.

So, if its OK, can I just put a 'reserved' marker down on this thread for now? I am going to try and get an early scan. I think I am 9 weeks on Tuesday/Wednesday. In spite of the discomfort, I actually enjoy the feelings I described cos then it means little bean is still there. IYSWIM.

So that's about it for now. A BIG 'hello' to all of you from all of me. x

HumphreysCorner · 22/02/2009 16:12

Well hello there LoneStranger and congratulations to you. Your place is reserved and you are welcome anytime. Hope you get an early scan.

Happy Funday Sunday Everybody!!

I met my midwife for the first time today, she came to my house to 'book me in' and i wasn't prepared for so much paperwork! I am 5weeks 2days apparently. Due date is 23rd Oct. I am absolutely freaking out about the 'side affects' of pregnancy. I feel that any morning sickness/diahorea/toothache must be simmering away getting ready to jump out at me... As it is my first baby I am not exactly sure what to expect. My mum had hypernemesis with me and both my sisters so I have my fingers crossed that i don't.

I really sympathise with all of you who are suffering at the moment.

KleineMaus · 22/02/2009 20:16

Sad to hear Babyinacorner's news. It doesn't bear thinking about.

HappyTangerine that sounds horrendous. Poor you. I really hope the antibiotics kick in really quickly.

Has anyone else felt really strange movements in their tummy? I think I'm almost nine weeks and it's not my first, but even if I was wildly out in my calculations and was actually 13 weeks, I still wouldn't be feeling anything yet, would I? Maybe it's just whizzes and whooshes, extra blood flowing, wind(!), but it's kind of freaking me out. What are other people feeling?

theboob · 22/02/2009 21:04

kleinemaus ,i swear i felt something move yesturday and felt to low and deep inside me to bewind,it felt really strange to like nothing i normally feel, i think after having more babies you feel something early

happy hope you fel better soon ,i had bad tooth problems with ds2 preg and i really feel for you

congratulations lonestranger

i feel as if i'm coming down with a cold and have been led on the sofa all day and still feel no better......why is it you only ever get a bad cold when you cant take anything for it!

tracyea · 22/02/2009 21:48

baby in a corner - i'm so sorry, why is life so crap sometimes... Hopefully see you again soon, thinking of you...

tjtheminx · 23/02/2009 02:12

Hi
May I join you. I am 6 weeks I think- just came off the pill at christmas so was not expecting to get pg for months.
DS1 is 22 months and it took me months to get pg with him. So this has taken me by surprise.
Also I have very few symptoms - ok a bit tired and feel a little crap but am also getting over a virus given to me by DS!
I also had a MMC at 12 weeks before DS so am very wary esp because of the lack of symptoms. Last time my boobs were huge at this stage but not a sausage so far

Anyway, I did a test on Friday and it was a clear BFP. I have just read my post I sound like a terrible whinger. Seriously I and DH are delighted

I am in the USA this time- hence the posts at 2 in the morning! (DS born in Ireland) so I'm sure this will be a completely different experience.

Calling the doc tomorrow. I wonder if they scan more here??

Looking forward to getting to know you all.
