Here goes-I got a BFP on DPO 11 which makes me due 1st October. Was going to avoid the antenatal thread until I was completely sure but have already done 3 tests and am still not convinced. Come on and join in the worry fun.

Hello fellow secret fatties!

Tangerine - I'm so sorry about your dog. We had to have our westie put to sleep a couple of years ago - we had had her 14 years and she was our first baby. It does get easier with time - would you think about a new puppy? We did!!

I think we are suffering from a bad case of not tempting fate-itis! We need to try and accept that our actions are not going to cause a MC - if that is going to happen, then it will.I think we might all worry ourselves to death at this rate.

Anyhow, I am now eating for 57! About every 1 1/2hours or else I start to retch. All day and most of the night. Not often actually sick so fattening up nicely!! DC think mummy's farts and burps are hysterical!!Glad to be a source of amusement for them..

KleineMaus · 15/02/2009 17:14

HC, I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't got themselves organised. Ridiculously, I never did a test either, but there's no mistaking what this is. I'm guessing that the doctor will ask me if I've done one and I'll lie and say yes. After I was a few days late it didn't seem worth spending the money on a test (yes, I'm Scottish!) when I could just be patient and wait and see, and now that I'm four weeks late and incredibly nauseous...

HumphreysCorner · 15/02/2009 17:43

Am KleineMaus at you not having done a test. The rest of us are obsessive testers.

Still icky here so still good news.

Hi all,

Symptom review: I never had morning sickness last time and don't seem to have it now. I notice I need to drink more. As for (ahem) constipation, it was bad in the first few weeks (midwife said its hormones) and has gone now.

I am a bit bloated and clothes are getting uncomfortable. I think if you have had a sprog already your stomach muscles use any excuse to r-e-l-a-x hence making you look 3 months when you are only 4/5 weeks pg.

I am basically trying not to eat too much or look pg in front of people, especially at work.

I did my pg test in the glamorous setting of the works loos. It involved lots of wrinkly packaging and sharp intakes of breath. Following the dawning realisation of being up the duff I then felt massively rough all day (probably due to panic). Have felt much better since.

Rang the MW Friday and am booked in to see her in a few weeks time.

Apologies for rambling - not got anyone else to tell at present!

Hope everyone well and not puking too much.

LittleMissBliss · 15/02/2009 18:00

Hi all hope you've had a great weekend! Nothing much happening in my neck of the woods!

HalfmumHalfiscuit- I agree re muscles! With ds i wasn't really showing at my 20 week scan last time and i already look as big as i did then at 7 weeks tomo. I am trully going to be a real fatty at this rate!

LittleMissBliss · 15/02/2009 18:06

I just remebered-

A pregnant lady came into work and i asked her how far gone she was, she had a nice little bump and she was 17 weeks i was 16 and just looked like i'd eaten a big lunch. I had a large limbo stage where i just looked liked i had just discovered triple chocolate muffins and i was eating them for lunch dinner and breakfast!

Those of you on number 3 and 4 have you noticed that grow bigger with each pregnancy, do you also grow bigger babies in subsiquent pregnancies?

Chalkpink · 15/02/2009 18:07

Hi all,
I haven't posted for ages - been lurking though.
Still haven't seen gp yet but booked appt for a week Tuesday. Cant do it this week due to half term.
Not committing to a due date yet - by lmp its's 29th Sept but didn't ov until later than usual as had an operation over new year which I was really ill after, and that definately messed my cycle up. Will wait until I see the GP and/or dating scan, but my guess would be 2nd Oct.

Feeling nauseous but not yet as bad as previous pregnancies so fingers crossed it stays that way.

Hope everyone is well and had a lovely valentines day yesterday.

Chalkpink · 15/02/2009 18:12

Hi LittleMiss,

DD2 was smaller than DD1 but DS (no.3) was bigger than both.

However, labours improved. Labour with DD2 was much faster than DD1. DS was slightly longer than DD2, but he was well over 1 lb bigger than her.

Bump wise, I was huge with DS!

Lucy

doggus · 15/02/2009 18:48

Meep, I have totally stopped feeling sick, which is slightly concerning. My tits however hurt like crazy. We are co-sleeping with ds and he keeps snuggling in the general breast area and I want to scream! Dh is never ever going to be allowed to touch them again.

doggus · 15/02/2009 18:49

Oh I forgot to say that with ds I didn't put on a single pound or increase in girth til at least 13 weeks. I am six weeks or so now and my jeans are veeery tight.

theboob · 15/02/2009 18:59

hello all

my moods this weekend have been horrible,i feel like killing everyone around me,i feel calm when alone
i am now in maternity clothes, and have a nice little bump and this is number 4,my babies all got smaller but my bumps all got bigger hope you are all well

HumphreysCorner · 15/02/2009 19:27

I took a pic of my 5 week bump then at 7 weeks and all it shows is how much weight I've lost so no bump at all really.

Hi,

I think I am pregnant , I have done a PG test and came up positive, so my expected date should be the 14th of October 2009. I am feeling quite dum, that I did not find out before, I had done a PG test, two and a half week ago but it was negative, eventhough I thought I might be pregnant. However, I have a few excuses, I am still breasfeeding DD1 and only had my period once since he was born. So I did not get the usual boobs symptoms, I feel more tired than usual but I thought it might have to do with DD1 wanted to be fed a lot during the night.
Anyway waiting to do another PG test in the morning before getting too exciting and/or starting to panic....

babyinacorner · 16/02/2009 08:50

Hi - hope everyone is feeling ok this morning. Still no morning sickness or sore boobs - starting to think I may have imagined being pregnant. Trying not to worry about lack of symptoms but it's hard!

7weeks 3 days

HumphreysCorner · 16/02/2009 09:16

Morning all

Congratulations Prisci-sounds to me that you are indeed PG. Let us know how further testing goes.

Hope everyone else is OK and had a good weekend. I feel nauseous but am not as sick as I was. Half term and the girls are driving me mad as they are so untidy.
Going to make an appointment with the MW for next week hopefully.

Big wave!

Morning all, welcome prisci

Can't believe how tight my clothes are getting, its not baby its just bloating! Have to unbutton my jeans of an evening and am into my maternity pjs coz they're comfier. I'm desperate not to put weight on tho, am already overweight and am 1/2 stone heavier than when I had dd. Managed not to put any weight on with her tho, just piled it on afterwards eeek!

ChucklesMcMummy · 16/02/2009 10:30

Hi All
Hope you had a great weekend.

Off to get official test results from GP this pm. Quite frankly, if I'm not pregnant then I'm checking into a hospital cos there must be something seriously wrong with me xxx

Icantbelieveitsnotbitter · 16/02/2009 11:11

Got my booking in appt with the midwife tomorrow ! Got a massive form to fill in - I don't remember such a huge form with DS 5 years ago !

Feeling quite queasy today - and yesterday was a horrible day - queasy most of it and a blinding headache all of it Eventually had enough and took one paracetemol which didn't seem to help at all !

I've also got a backache - all around my lower back and hips - only a hot water bottle helps and not much chance of that at work

But enough feeling sorry for me !! Hope everyone else is OK and enjoying their symptoms !!

maybe 7+2 ??

Cazza28 · 16/02/2009 12:08

Morning All,

I feel a million times better this week stomach pains and back ache all gone! Not feeling to sick either so far just tired but I can put up with that.

Hope everyone is ok. xx

Prisci · 16/02/2009 12:44

Hi all,

It is confirmed, I am PG, I can't beleive it, I have had my period once only since DD1. He is only 10months old, I am not sure how I am going to cope with an 18months old toddler and a newborn. I am still breastfeeding too, I am panicked on how am I going to slow down on this front, especially since DD is so into it but I don't think I can cope with BF two at the same time.

On the plus side, I now understand why I have been so upset with DH for the littlest thing and so tired. I am also having the same craving as last time i.e.almost raw steak and salmon sashimi (which I should not have..of course), but I have been having in the past two weeks (I did not know). I should have known really...I think I must have been in denial .
Sorry about the rambling, no one I can tell yet. We are currently based in Bermuda, thus no family, close friends around.

LittleMissBliss · 16/02/2009 12:48

Hi everyone!

Felt really rubbish this morning and have just realised after eating an apple, grapes and some cheese it was because i hadn't eatten anything decent all morning. Feeling more perky now. think i might have a look through my pregnancy booklets from m/w whilst d/s naps...makes seem more real!

7 weeks today (6+6 according to m/w) I'm sticking to my dates though [stuborn emoticon]!

idreamofbeanie · 16/02/2009 13:08

Hi,

thought I'd join in the symptom round up.

My main issue just now is that I am shattered all the time - feel a bit pathetic really but seem to need to sleep all weekend just to get through the week. I've also discovered that my nausea is much worse when I am either tired or hungry so I tend to feel okay at the start of the week but by Friday I feel sick all day. For the last couple of weeks I've just been a bit lazy at the weekend and it all works out but this weekend I had a hen do so didn't get much sleep and turned into a complete monster yesterday ! I just told everyone at the hen do I'd had a stomach bug so wasn't drinking much - just waved a glass of wine around and pretended to drink then discarded glass, I'm sure a few people suspect but wasn't too bad. Didn't get in until 2 and didn't sleep well at all so felt really sick, tired and headachy on Sunday. Couldn't find anything I wanted to eat so more or less went without until about 5pm when I started to get dizzy and faint and really really overemotional. Rather than just admit I'd been stupid though I yelled at DP that he should be looking after me and making sure I eat then sat on the stairs and cried. Felt sooooo stupid afterwards! Luckily DP took it all in his stride, made me some dinner then ran me a bath and told me to have an early night, bless him. Feel a million times better today thank god and will make sure I get plenty of sleep tonight again.

Oops, sorry for me me me post but feel free to laugh at me!

I've just found a code for 20% off your first order at blooming marvelous if anyone would like it, it is

YAYF

altagloria · 16/02/2009 13:09

babyinacorner snap, I'm 6+2 and no sickness, nothing! Just some crampy feelings that come and go.

Even though I did three tests I still feel like there's been a big mistake and I'm a fraud!

Roll on scans and bumps for some much needed proof (other than all those positive tests of course )

theboob · 16/02/2009 13:15

blooming marvelous went out of buisness a few months ago, really sad as i loved their clothes

hope everyone is well nothing to report my end, just half term madness and getting ready for ds2 2nd birthday on friday
