Here goes-I got a BFP on DPO 11 which makes me due 1st October. Was going to avoid the antenatal thread until I was completely sure but have already done 3 tests and am still not convinced. Come on and join in the worry fun.

Treats-excellent news. Did you ring the EPU direct or go through your Dr? I haven't had any spotting, just paranoid.

Yay Treats!!!!! Such fab news! Really happy for you!

Well done for all of you who have had good scans as well!

babyinacorner · 12/02/2009 13:09

Treats - fantastic news, you must be overjoyed xx

Treats · 12/02/2009 15:06

Feeling very relieved. It's funny - I sort of stopped thinking about the whole pregnancy thing on Monday and Tuesday - just trying to block it out in case it was bad news I guess. But suddenly yesterday, after the scan, I was 100% ready to embrace pregnancy again.

HC - I'm just going through registering with a GP at the moment, so couldn't call anyone. I did speak to the Fertility nurse at Guys - who we had yesterday's appointment with - but the unit just accepted me without a referral. I found this website the other day - which lists all the EPUs in the country and provides contact details. So if you have any worries, you can call your local EPU and ask whether you need to be referred or whether you can just walk in as I did. Are you registered with a midwife yet? she might be the best person to call if you're worried.......

Thanks for all your support and well wishes, but I just got my blood tests results and this time it looks like it wasn't meant to be . The hcg levels have fallen too sharply in 48 hrs.

I sincerely wish you all the best come October 2009

Thanks for the link Treats-would appear we don't have an EPU near us so would probably need a referral through a GP if necessary. Feeling sicker now so not panicing so much.

I'm so sorry varicose-I wish you loads of luck for a very sticky and strong bean next time-tahnk you for your best wishes.

Thats fantastic news treats-i must say i'm quite though-I just really want to see what is going on in a scan! Have had some sharp cramping today-prob not helped by lack of sleep I guess

According to FF i should be 7+4 today, I have the midwife coming on tues but then there is still the long wait til the scan.

Littlemiss- at watching a duvet!!! But that really is what i've been doing!!! We have been curled up on the sofa-I managed to doze a bit whilst dd did, but she keeps crying out in her sleep-poor little monkey have had blooming Nick Jnr on all day-i'd love to be able to watch some 'decent'?! day time tv!!!!! Very of all your yummy fruit! I did however manage to eat about 5 yellow plums this morning-they were very yummy indeed!!! I've missed fruit so much! Don't know if it is the nap that has helped but haven't felt too sick yet today....but that also worries me [stupid!]

tracyea · 12/02/2009 16:54

Really sorry varicose- thinking of you...

Cazza28 · 12/02/2009 17:14

Varicose Sorry this one wasn't to be. Big Hugs and thinking of you xxx

Still have my cramps although they have eased off a bit since I had a small spoon of califig (I know I probably shouldn't) but I was in so much pain the pharmacist said it would be ok. I still have a sharp pain when I move suddenly but this seems to be round ligaments from what I read.

I really though pregnancy would be simple... little did I know

Well this is me off till Monday have a good weekend all and I will catch up then.

LittleMissBliss · 12/02/2009 18:06

so sorry varicose hope you and your dp are coping. Wishing you a sticky bean with all my heart, please drop in if you have some good news in the future.

sammy DVD, DVD, DVD the thickness is already setting in!

RubyBuckleberry · 12/02/2009 18:22

so sorry varicose what a rollercoaster for you ...

HC I had a really sharp cramp this morning - It was really painful - not as painful as a bad period pain (I have always had hideous period pains) but fairly similar, although I have got slow bowels so it might be that! Anyway, I was so worried off I ran to do some knicker checking and nothing! And it had gone after about 3 minutes and the nausea promptly returned.

I am (a little cautiously) feeling more and more pregnant as the days go on - I am sleeping loads, and am completely knackered, nauseaus and hungry - I can barely keep up with all the munching I need to do!

sending everyone loads of stickyness and good luck for the next um lets see 7 and a half months or so!

RubyBuckleberry · 12/02/2009 18:33

I have been reading previous posts and am getting paranoid that I have had the odd cramp - HC you said when you had your MC you had cramps which lasted 5 minutes and then miscarried 4/5 weeks later - did you have pregnancy symptoms as well? And how often were the cramps?

xx
Ruby

RubyBuckleberry · 12/02/2009 19:18

I am now thinking it is my bowel as I have just passed the hardest poo - sorry TMI I have ever passed lol and I feel a little relieved! Oh the joys!!!

theboob · 12/02/2009 19:31

so sorry varicose thinking of you

HumphreysCorner · 12/02/2009 20:10

Ruby-When I MC I had some nasty contraction like cramps at 7 weeks ish which only happened on one day then no more. My symptoms had disappeared by week 9. Then at 12 weeks I got really horrible cramps and started to MC the next day. The cramping at 7 weeks that I have this time is suspiciously like the cramping I had from week 5 to 8 with DD2.

Panic ye not! I feel guilty that I am making everyone else paranoid.

varicose - v sorry to hear your news.

To all those suffering with constipation, I feel your pain. Only thing that works for me is a bucket full of lactulose, some all bran and cherries. When I was in the final trimester last time, I was booked in for a manual evacuation but such was my embarrassment I sat on the loo for over an hour and produced. It's a nightmare.

RubyBuckleberry · 12/02/2009 20:37

Hi HC don't feel guilty - I am thinking too much about the future methinks and need to try and enjoy the now! Even if I now feel really sick ..

It's so difficult because I am basically trying to work out what exactly is happening inside me when I can't see! It was tummy ache this morning for a few minutes, and I have had cramps during the night before too... And sometimes when I feel like I have been standing up too long (I am a teacher)... It might just be my uterus stretching - I've read that too - it is now the size of a grapefruit apparently - but I think it may have been my bowels trying to move, or not... I really can't tell. I am now so confused that I can't even remember if it is the same feeling as period pain - it is in the same area and feels crampy but I can usually feel my cervix go when I have my period as I often pass the odd clot when AF is here, and it is definitely not that.

I am going to have to relax and drink more fluids to see if that helps. I am quite emotional which I don't think is helping. I burst into full blown tears last night at Friends - when Rachel has her baby - and it took me a good five minutes to stop!

RubyBuckleberry · 12/02/2009 20:39

Doggus A manual evacuation OMG! lol! I like cherries though I might get me some!

idreamofbeanie · 12/02/2009 20:58

Varicose I'm so so sorry for you and dp . I hope you have lots of support.

What a bunch of worriers we are. I was feeling much more positive this week - past the halfway point to the first scan - but I signed up for pregnancy updates from another site and todays read "you are now 7 weeks pregnant, unfortunately for 2 out of 5 of you your pregnancies won't go much further as they will end in mc". Oh well, back to the constant worrying!

HappyTangerine · 12/02/2009 21:40

Hi everyone

Varicose, I'm so sorry

SammySam - hope your dd is on the mend and you can both get some sleep soon

Treats - so pleased for you

KKKaty-welcome IDOB - glad it all went well with the GP, you've made me feel a bit less nervous about it

HC and anyone else that is suffering from cramps - I've been having them from day one, cconstantly feels like I'm about to come on. I worry when I don't get them, worry when I do get them - fel like I'm constantly on knicker watch.

had my beautiful Collie put to sleep yesterday, she was really ill at the end so thankfully out of pain now. I miss her terribly though. Trying to stay positive but terrified of mc-this baby is the only thing keeping me going at the moment. I wish these weeks would go quickly, they seem to be dragging and full of anxiety.

Morning sickness (middle of the night sickness) is kicking in and I am now the proud owner of a bucket from Wilkinsons which is living by the side of the bed. Our bathroom is downstairs and I don't want to risk breaking my neck running doen the stairs.

Off home to Wales to get a big cwtch/hug from my mum on Sunday-its going to be so hard not to tell her but she can't keep a secret!
