Here goes-I got a BFP on DPO 11 which makes me due 1st October. Was going to avoid the antenatal thread until I was completely sure but have already done 3 tests and am still not convinced. Come on and join in the worry fun.

LittleMissBliss · 10/02/2009 13:30

phew its not just me! dp keeps complaining that i am always really stressy, i don't have any patience for him at the moment especially having ds all day and having to be jolly fun mummy. I just get moody when he goes to bed and have a short fuse with dp hormones damn hormones.

tracyea · 10/02/2009 13:57

Hello all
Fab news pepperpot - we will all keep hoping for you...
Cazza - a fruit bowl??? I need carbs every hour or so just to keep the sickness at bay!! I'm currently fantasising about chips!!I wish fruit did it for me!!
Just been to Dr's who said don't get my hopes up, most PG's end in MC AND it is too early for me too have MS - the MAN IS AN ARSE
Apart from that, think it migh be time for food...crisps anyon???

Icantbelieveitsnotbitter · 10/02/2009 14:01

Keeping everything crossed for pepperpots - and everyone else really !!

Feeling slightly sicky occassionally, overflowing my bra and could sleep for England. Apart from that, all's good - be even better if I could stop checking my knickers for spotting !

Thinking I'll book in to see the midwife at about 8 weeks - hopefully enough time for the hospital to arrange the 12 week scan !

MrsPuddleduck · 10/02/2009 14:11

tracyea - at dr

idreamofbeanie · 10/02/2009 14:16

tracyea - I am and at your doctor. I think we all know that nothing is certain this early on but I can't see how an attitude like that will help. Going to see the GP tomorrow and just hoping he will be a bit nicer than that.

LittleMissBliss · 10/02/2009 14:22

Is that really true tracyea? Most... I only know of two of my friends who were unlucky enough to suffer a mc (they were both smokers so that may be a possible factor) Is it also to do with age?.............god what a horrible thing to say. Surely it just fills women with terror.

Cazza28 · 10/02/2009 14:28

I make sure I bring tons of fruit to work with me - I work in the middle of no where so can only eat what I have with me. Last night I managed to eat half a big bar of dairy milk and a huge packet of prawn cocktails crisps on top of dinner, a slice of cake and a cookie I hope I don't to that every night I will be a hefa in a week!

knicker checking I find that amusing, I bet we are all at it though

traceyea what a rude man!

ChucklesMcMummy · 10/02/2009 14:38

Traceyea - ignore your Dr. I went to GP today and he was lovely. He did warn me that things can go wrong, but I think they have to say that to cover themselves, but it's the way they say it. The receptionist was really rude to me, which made me cry then the GP was so lovely to that that made me cry too. Feel like a complete plonker.

Think I'm going to go to bed for the rest of the afternoon! xxx

lizzie9442 · 10/02/2009 14:44

hi hows is everyone today?

really good news pepper pots fingers crossed for you.

I am still counting down the days to see if the baby will make it only a week to go now. I am taking each day at a time. So far not much bleeding, had little bit of red blood yesterday but nothing today so hopeing thats a good sign. I just hope they see the heart beat next week and the baby has grown since I had the scan last week. Will let you know how i get on x

HumphreysCorner · 10/02/2009 14:47

I think the medical professional are too busy to care. My mum had MS before she evened missed a period with me and my bro and was very sick with him but not so bad with me. A MC is very common and can happen to anyone. When I had mine I blamed myself for lifting my patio pots but it wasn't that at all. Over the following years I found out that nearly everyone I know has had one but never mentioned it. It is a terrible sad thing but my DH just couldn't understand.

Anyway, we are going to think positive and ignore Drs and MW's.

I wish I could eat fruit, 'tis fruit that makes me so sick.

Off to get DD1 from school but have to wake DD2 up first. Well, she did wake me up earlier by tipping a whole box of lego out onto the floor.

tracyea how far along are you out of interest?

fingers crossed still lizzie xx (and toes)

sammysam · 10/02/2009 15:13

Thats fantastic news pepperpots...keeping my fingers crossed for you, and still thinking of you Lizzie-I hope the scan shows a fighter is still there!

I really need help-i can't come up with anything to eat-everything makes me feel ill, and everything leaves me with the most disgusting taste in my mouth. What the hell can I eat. I love cooking and food, but there is no way I cn cook anything decent at the mo. I LOVE fruit but can't eat that either. I'm eating hardly anything cos it all tastes so so bad. I need some ideas badly. Sweet things are by far worse than savory.......
I have just managed to eat some olives-but now have weird taste in my mouth-although not as bad as with some things. I'm having trouble with water as well (all I normally drink) it just tastes so bad and i'm not drinking nearly as much as i was the last couple of weeks when I just couldn't stop!!

What are you all eating?

ScorpiowithabigS · 10/02/2009 15:44

Was definitely a mc.

Good luck to all of you x

HumphreysCorner · 10/02/2009 15:56

Oh Scorpio-I am so very sorry. Hope to see you back on the antenatal threads very soon. {{xx}}

sammysam-you are me, that is exactly how I am. My diet consists of soup, plain cheese sandwich, rich tea fingers, baked potato with cheese and the odd cup of boiled water but even that is making me sick. Have started putting the smallest drop of blackcurrant and apple juice in it to colour it but as this is fruit it makes me feel sick. I find if I don't drink enough I get a banging headache.

Big wave to all, have parents evening at 5pm.

Treats · 10/02/2009 17:22

sorry to be such an occasional visitor but I've had a busy couple of days. No more bleeding thank god. I have my scan tomorrow so that should tell us what we need to know. Send some good luck vibes my way ladies.......

pepperpots - that sounds really hopeful. Hope you're keeping well.

traceya - I'm appalled at your GP. Your local health authority should have a complaints procedure if you want to take it further. I can't believe how insensitive - not to mention just plain WRONG - he was (I assume of course, that it was a he.....)

scorpio - I'm so so sorry. Look after yourself.

I still have no sickness, which is worrying me..... Hope those of you who are suffering feel better soon

RubyBuckleberry · 10/02/2009 18:03

Pepperpots woohoo that sounds very promising! Thoughts with you!

Tracyea your doctor sounds hideous - most pregnancies end in MC - I wouldn't say most - we actually have more chance of having a healthy pregnancy than a MC, it's just that MC is such a hideous (and very common) experience that we all think about it!

Cazza after my BFP last month followed by a bang on time AF I am the biggest knicker checker!

Scorpio what a nightmare! Grrrrrr! Big hugs from over here...

Still feeling sick, boobs now quite sore and large, although I have worked out if I eat breakfast - eggs on toast - and a grapefruit then at NINE O CLOCK have a wholemeal roll with mayo, ham and salad, and kiwis and yoghurt and a tangerine, and then later have lunch and more fruit, and biscuits, then some spaghetti and prawns with tomato sauce immediately I get home, and then fish pie for dinner, the nausea is reserved for the middle of the night when I wake up starving and want cereal! Haha I am in pretty good shape but NOT FOR lONG!!! [hmmmm]

The other day I went on a school trip to central London and couldn't eat my way through eight meals and felt absolutely hideous and the nausea was hard to get rid of.

RubyBuckleberry · 10/02/2009 18:04

Welcome newbies

HumphreysCorner · 10/02/2009 18:16

Hello and welcome smallone. Congratulations to you. Don't worry, I'm sure some symptoms will kick in very soon.

theboob-try not to worry eh? Easier said than done, I know.

Treats-thank goodness there has been no more bleeding. Lots and lots of luck for tomorrow.

Treats -best of luck for tomorrow

Ruby - I like your style with the eating!

theboob -I wish I was still in my state of innocence over this pregnancy lark. With my pfb I didn't know about m.net and sailed through in ignorance about things like m.c. This time I am scared to death and possibly checking my knickers hundreds of times a day!

HC -I'm almost jealous of all your symptoms -I hardly ever feel sick apart from the middle of the night and am starting to think i'm not pregnant enough!

HappyTangerine · 10/02/2009 20:45

Evening ladies

Pepperpots - fingers crossed for you
Scorpio, I'm so sorry
Tracey-you're doctor clearly needs to brush up on his communication skills

Sorry to everyone who is feeling rough and welcome to new faces

Still moody and v emotional (I cried all the way through the BAFTAs the other night), I have heartburn, v noisy wind and vague feelings of nausea. Have gone right off chocolate . These cramps are awful though. Worried that I don't have morning sickness-may live to regret that though!I constantly smell cat wee(we don't have a cat)-its driving my husband mad.

Things not good with the dog, looks like the toxins from her liver have spread to her brain-she is having episodes of blindness, banging into things, swaying. Awful to watch. I just don't want her to suffer any more.
Better news-I took my mother in law for a biopsy yesterday and the consultant took one look at her and said "no need, thats a hernia." So relief all round.

I'm trying to control my stress levels but its not easy at the moment with everything going on. Eating - the best thing I've found for nausea for me is a cooked skinless chicken breast cut in half and chopped up into little pieces - I have it with a glass of milk. Hardly any smell thank God.

BellaCullen - let us know how it goes with the pregnancy excercise dvd, I'm a couple of stone overweight as well and could do with something to do other than swimming.

altagloria · 10/02/2009 22:19

Hello everyone

I got a BFP on Sunday 8th Feb and first day of last period was 4th Jan so I believe I am 5 weeks 2 days with a due date of 11th Oct... I think!

First time for me so not sure if I have the due date right. I have booked my first doc's appointment for this Friday but am so nervous about things going wrong. I have had mild cramping since Sunday and my breasts seem a bit bigger but that's it. From reading this the cramping seems normal thank god!

Good luck to all and hope all those with MS have kept their dinner down
