Sorry to hear the news pepperpots and scorpio
I had bleeding this afternoon when I went to the loo - proper bright red bleeding. So I've been to the Emergency Gynaecology Unit at St Thomas'. They did a urine test (which presumably showed that I was pregnant - I didn't actually ask) and then a blood test. They couldn't tell me much, but said that if the scan I'm already booked in for on Wednesday was 'inconclusive' that I should come back for another blood test immediately afterwards, and they can then compare the results. So I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed I suppose . there was no further bleeding when I went to give my urine sample, and I haven't had any pain, so hopefully everything's OK.
Anyway - apart from that - I've got some extraordinary news. DH and I went to see both of our parents yesterday to break the happy news (as it was then - and hopefully still is!). They're all thrilled and my mum was absolutely over the moon!
Then my sister called in the evening. I'd told her last week, because she and her DH have been trying and I thought it might be difficult for her. She said "I've got something to tell you....." and, well - you've guessed it - she's also just had a BFP! If our dates are right and all goes according to plan, she'll be having a baby about 9 days after me........
I'm obviously thrilled for her, but couldn't help feeling just a little bit that I'm not going to be the 'special one' anymore. And I think my mum's completely overwhelmed......
Sorry - in a rush. Haven't had time to read all the weekend posts but hope everyone's well.
