Here goes-I got a BFP on DPO 11 which makes me due 1st October. Was going to avoid the antenatal thread until I was completely sure but have already done 3 tests and am still not convinced. Come on and join in the worry fun.

Hi All, I have been lurking and reading all the posts. I am waiting to get past week 8 before I contribute.

Am only suffering a little bit of nausea and sore boobs and am tired in the evenings so go to bed around 8ish. Have been eating constantly!

I will be 40 next Month and already have a DD aged 2 and 6months.

I'll go back to lurking

babyinacorner · 05/02/2009 09:52

Thanks Sammysam - really hope so - I have an appointment with the doc this morning just to be on safe side.

By the way - I'm 30 yrs old, live in the south west. I have a ds aged 19 months and am really excited (and scared!) to be pregnant again.

Cazza28 · 05/02/2009 10:19

Do you think any this gets easier after the first 12 weeks, I think we will all be nervous wrecks way before then.

Had to pop to boots to get another digital as hadn't tested since I had my scare came up 3+. so quietly confident baby will be ok.

thefunkypea a bean counter? Really? Sorry probably being really silly here but what beans to you count and why? I am finding this rather amusing. (hope you don't mind)

idream poor you, dreams can feel so real sometimes to. Hopefully work will keep your mind busy.

HumphreysCorner · 05/02/2009 10:29

Morning all

Welcome to the newbies, the more the merrier and big congratulations to you all.

babyinacorner and Cazza-hope there is no more spotting.

At 3pm yesterday I felt a tad better and my boobs seem less tender so panic set in but it all cam back with a vengeance. Can't bear ginger and fruit at the mo. Bit crampy today too, not had cramping since last Thursday. Am 6 weeks today so hoping the heart is beating now. Have to retire to bed a 9pm and that is after having a nap in the day.

I am 39 (40 on the 8th October) and live in Lincolnshire. Have DD1 5yrs 5m and DD2 2yrs 7m. Currently on a career break from the Bank to be a SAHM.

Laters!

Hello! Another newbie here! Have waited and waited to join one of these groups and now at last (nearly two years of trying, really) I can!

DP and I were going to give it another two months before considering our options but now - STICK BEAN STICK - we don't have to!

This is our first, I am 37 (glad to see some other oldies on here!) and am due on 11th October. Nausea for over a week, and (non pg related) sciatica which made me cry down the phone to NHS direct. Big sobbing 'but I don't want to kill the baby with paracetamol' and 'caaaan i wear a back braaaace waaaah'.

Looking forward to the next few months. Am a bit of a fatty so am seeing if I can get to 14 weeks without telling anyone

Hi everyone, I have started bleeding quite heavy red blood so think I am loosing this baby. I am so upset. This is the third time in a row now. I really thought this one might stick but I have been unlucky again. I am in a lot of pain to. I'm devasted.

Good luck to you all

CookieMonster1 · 05/02/2009 10:58

Hello everyone

Great idea to share some info about ourselves. I'm 37, live in Berkshire with my DH and work for a medical company. I spend a lot of time travelling around all over the place and my job is pretty stressful. My boss is going to absolutely flip out if everything progresses ok and I get to the part where I have to tell him I am pregnant. Have a feeling he will make life as difficult as possible for me. Still there's plenty of more immediate stuff to worry about without even thinking about that yet.

Went to the doctors this morning. He was surprisingly jolly and interested. 10 week appointment with midwife is in the diary and 12 wk scan is also booked. I almost cried when the receptionist congratulated me on my pregnancy. So I guess I must be a bit of an emotional wreck today.

Hope you are all having a good day.

idreamofbeanie · 05/02/2009 11:09

lizzie9442 - I am so so sorry to hear you might be losing this baby and I hope you get some answers as to why it's happening soon. Will you be referred to a specialist? Please stick around if you feel you want to talk.

lizzie9442 · 05/02/2009 11:19

I just feel horrible, i wanted the baby so much! I dont know what will happen now but I just feel numb. i know it was early days but i already felt attached to the baby.

HumphreysCorner · 05/02/2009 11:24

lizzie9442-I am so sorry to hear this. I really hope you can get some specialist help. Take care. {{xx}}

oh lizzie9442 sending yo lots of love and big hugs. Hope you will be ok.

theboob · 05/02/2009 12:11

lizzie9442 i am so so sorry
if you want to talk we are here

about myself I am 27 ,been married for 5 years,have ds1 8 , dd 6 , ds2 2 this month
I am a full time student and will be starting a nursing degree in 2010 ,and then a top up to become a midwife.

Babies weights were 8lb 11, 8lb 8 ,8lb 3 ,i am also tiny but always have to much fluid with last few pg so high risk due to cord prolapse risk, dread to think what ds2 would have weighed if they left me to term and over
i feel really strange today and worried cant shake the feeling i have harmed the bean with my food poisoning

LittleMissBliss · 05/02/2009 12:41

SO sorry lizzie. I hope you are able to talk to someone and get some answers.

Little about me. I'm 22 i have one ds who is nearly 15 months. I've been with dp for four years. I live in the south. I'm a SAHM mon-fri but work weekend in retail, I'm also a trained bossom buddy. Dp is a carpenter who never finishes jobs at home, our downstairs toilet has been unusable for 6 months.

lixanismapolium · 05/02/2009 13:05

Hi All. So sorry lizzie. You must be feeling absolutely awful.

Haven't been around much because I am just too scared to get too involved. This is my 3rd pregnancy in just a few months and I think I am trying to put it out of my mind until I get to a safer time in the pregnancy. Probably sounds really daft, but I suppose it's just my way of trying to protect myself from the pain. Not even going to make an appt to see the Dr for a few weeks yet.

Anyway, I'll be here lurking for a few more weeks before I find my confidence!

No nausea yet, but sore (.)(.)!

Talk soon

thefunkypea · 05/02/2009 13:32

so sorry lizzie to hear your news , I hope you feel that you have the understanding and support of everyone here, and are able to get the right kind of professional help too.

thefunkypea · 05/02/2009 13:34

Cazza - translation - I'm an accountant [yawn emoticon] (but my friends don't really understand what I do, so they call me the bean counter...............)

ChucklesMcMummy · 05/02/2009 13:34

Lizzie - I'm so sorry. I know it doesn't help much, but I feel that we're all here to help and talk things through if and when you need to.

Welcome all newbies and congratulations. Hope you're feeling well.

Woke up with stomach cramps again! DH was at home due to a snow day in his school and, sorry if TMI but we both fancied a bit and since then not had any stomach cramps. Sex is the way forward on this one I think!

Bit about me, I live in Wales, 33 years young, first pg so excited and nervous, I'm a uni lecturer and struggling at the moment to concentrate on marking work :-( xxx

apushchairq · 05/02/2009 14:05

Cazza28 · 05/02/2009 14:54

thefunkypea I actually thought you counted beans - like baked beans or something!! ha ha I am wetting myself now... Why would anyone count beans!! I am definitely putting that one down to pregnancy!

lizzie9442 · 05/02/2009 15:39

thankyou for all your support its nice to know there are people that care so thankyou for that. i have spoke to the doctor and been refered to early pregnancy unit so will be having a scan in the morning. He also said I will probably be refered to a gynacologist as I have now had 3 mc in a row, my fourth all together.

I have my 3 children though which is my only god send. I feel so lucky to have them and they will get me throught this horrible time.
