Here goes-I got a BFP on DPO 11 which makes me due 1st October. Was going to avoid the antenatal thread until I was completely sure but have already done 3 tests and am still not convinced. Come on and join in the worry fun.

That should be xxdelv.....told you my brain was fried lol

Treats · 04/02/2009 17:35

Maybe we're not pregnant enough yet?? Looking at the list all the people who are currently suffering are due about a week before us. Perhaps we should be careful what we wish for!!

ChocoFrog · 04/02/2009 17:54

Hi all. I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd join in. This is my first pg so it's all new and exciting and slightly freaky! I have a EDD of 1st Oct so six weeks in and not feeling too bad. Sorry for all those who are and it makes me feel like a fraud!
Congrats to everyone.

CookieMonster1 · 04/02/2009 18:03

Hello

Another newbie to add to the list. Found out I was pg last week - a bit of a surprise. It's my first pregnancy at the age of 37 so it's all a bit daunting at the moment. EDD from internet calendars is 2.10.09.

I'm so happy to hear that most of you are experiencing the same symptoms as me (happy in a reassured way not wishing MS on you all...). I have so many questions and it's so hard not being able to share the news and seek friends' advice until I am surer of whether the pg will progress.

I have had some mild cramping over the last couple of days, hope this settles down soon. My boobs are so sore, my brain is completely messed up - can hardly string a sentence together, I have lower back pain (have had this for nearly 3 weeks now) and I feel a bit queasy but apart from that all seems ok.

DH is very concerned about me so I have a doctor's appt tomorrow am to reassure him everything I am feeling is normal. Feels a bit early to be going to the Docs - would like to have a couple more weeks under my belt - but I suppose it can't hurt.

Congratulations to all of you!

Welcome ChocoFrog, my first PG too. Bloody scary time isn't it

Good point Treats! I didn't think to go through the list. Right, I'm not going to worry about no sickness anymore. I certainly wasn't wishing for it. BTW I read in my pregnancy book that ginger tea can help with sickness. You might want to double check with Dr as i don't want to be the cause of any problems. My best friend who's 26 weeks swears by ginger snap biscuits so maybe there is something in it.

Just be careful not to OD on the ginger as it warms your stomach up and can cause acid. If that happens, eat lots of cucumber to balance out (I was on a chinese food healing diet last year, not an expert but remembered some things).

Off to make dinner now xxx

Evening all

Have had no internet connection all day-gggrrrhhh!!!

My MS is horrible, I was sick at 3am then when I got up then throughout the day. Felt a tad better at 3pm but now feel dreadful again. Was worrying it might be twins but we can't all be having twins can we? Told DD1 that mummy wasn't feeling too well and she came out of school with a drawing that said 'hope you feel better soon mummy'.

A mahoosive welcome to the newbies and congratulations.

Better go and eat another digestive.

Love to all.

Hi, welcome to all the newbies and for everyone really suffering with ms. I feel nauseous pretty much all day from waking up until about 4 o clock but it's not too bad yet and doesn't stop me eating - in fact I feel much better after breakfast or lunch and found sucking a boiled sweet helps if it gets too bad in between. I'm still able to look on the bright side - at least it makes me feel pregnant - but that might wear off quite soon.

Cazza - glad to hear you haven't had any more bleeding and I hope all goes well at the docs tomorrow.

BTW - I've decided to just tell my DB we can go on holiday and hope he doesn't actually book for a few weeks then I'll pretend we didn't get BFP till a bit later - I'll be happier about telling him if I can at least get to 8+ weeks.

doggus · 04/02/2009 20:10

I can't win - I haven't had morning sickness for two days and now I am worried. Maybe it's gone?

Treats - I am breathless too - our house is on three levels and I am bushed going up the stairs and panting.

And is anyone else (sorry TMI) farting like a trooper? Dh is mercilessly taking the mick...

thelittlestbadger · 04/02/2009 20:18

Hello all, can I join in? I had a BFP on tuesday following a frozen embryo transfer so am concentrating very hard on feeling pregnant and trying to remember what it was like with DD. Mainly I think I fell over a lot but not sure when that started (or if it stopped...)

AF came on 31st December but long cycle this month so best guess is due on the 10th October. Keeping fingers crossed for everyone.

Treats · 04/02/2009 20:36

doggus - oh yes! I'm having wind too. Trying to be discreet about it, but it's definitely a problem. Tbh it's something I always used to get in the days leading up to AF, but it's now quite constant......

HC and IDOB - sorry to be fretting about my lack of ms when you're both suffering so much . I read the same as ChucklesMcMummy about ginger and bought some apple and ginger tea at the weekend in preparation. They're yummy though and I'll have finished them all before I need them (I'm having one now). They're Dr Stuarts if anyone's interested - bit pricey, alas.......

littlestbadger - welcome to the thread and I'm so pleased that your frozen embryo transfer was successful. I haven't 'met' many people on here that have been through that procedure so it's good to hear a success story. You're my cycle buddy - my AF came on 31st December as well. It will make it nice and easy to keep track of our progress!

theboob · 04/02/2009 20:47

welcome all newbies
i have been looking through this thread and just realised that if i do go over 10 days i will give birth on DS1 9th birthday

but with last pg i was induced 2 weeks early due to the whoppers i grow,so if i'm offered this i will take it lol
hope you are feeling well my bump vanished while i was so ill yesturday ,but has come back this evening,i must have been full of water
hope you are all well

ChucklesMcMummy · 04/02/2009 21:04

Doggus - had terrible wind too. It was coupled with constipation and burps! Not pleasant. Reminds me of the Sex and the City scene where Miranda lets rip in the shoe shop.

Welcome littlestbadger and congratulations on your success. I must say, it's a little rude of AF to call on New Years Eve!

Having feelings like period pains at the moment...is anyone else?

I seem to get more symptoms after my evening meal than at any other time in the day. I'm wondering if I'm eating to big a meal so late in the evening?

hackneybird · 04/02/2009 22:32

Hi all

How the list is growing!

Been feeling shocking all day- really really tired and vacant. Have also lost my appetite which is most unlike me

Am having cramps too - I'd say they are 'uncomfortable' rather than painful, but still it makes me worry having had an mc before. I understnad cramps are normal though as the uterus adjusts so I must try and calm down! Maybe an early night will help.....

xx

patmum · 05/02/2009 07:38

It just struck me last night that when DC2 is the age that DS is now, DS will be going to school. That's scary.

I think reality is just beginning to dawn. I have no idea how I'm going to cope with two and no idea how I'm going to persuade DS to "share" his mummy! Let alone DH to share his wife even further! I guess we've all got some time yet to figure it out. But it feels like a daunting prospect.

hackneybird - I also seem to have much less of an appetite - most unusual for me too! I'm certain that that didn't happen last time.

babyinacorner · 05/02/2009 08:13

Hi Everyone - Can I join please - due on 1st October so will be 6 weeks fri.

Bit of a grim question so sorry if tmi but after going to the loo yesterday i wiped and there was a very slight pink tinge -do you think this is an ominous sign?? There hasn't been anything since but I'm so worried

Cazza28 · 05/02/2009 08:20

Cazza28 · 05/02/2009 08:27

Me again!

Just thinking as we will be spending the next 9 months together why don't we say a bit about ourselves? (obviously not to much info) I will Start ...

28 years old, Work as a Sales Co ordinator and been married 2 years in May.

thefunkypea · 05/02/2009 08:35

Doh! It gets worse - couldn't remember my PIN this morning renewing my train ticket (queue of people huffed and puffed behind me while I scrabbled in my bag for my diary where I've written it down ).

Good idea Cazza - I'm 34 (but not for much longer), married 4 yrs in April, dd is 2.3 and I'm a bean counter

wibblydibs · 05/02/2009 08:43

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies - not been on for a few days as have been dealing with DD1's horrendous tantrums...very hard to stay calm when I just want to lie down!

Treats and Doggus I'm also breathless (and live in a 3 storey house!) can't remember it being this early before...
Theboob how big do you grow your babies? DD2 was 8lb 12oz - not too bad except that I'm quite a small build and only 5'1"...am getting a bit nervous! DH is 6'2" so I guess I should've thought about this before I married him lol.
Cazza good luck at the doctors today

I'm a bit of a MS expert I'm afraid - ginger is supposed to help but just made me worse - my top tips are boiled sweets - uncle joes mintballs and cola cubes. Although it is a bit tricky finding proper sweets these days! Also golden delicious apples and TUC crackers.
Hope everyone has a good day

idreamofbeanie · 05/02/2009 08:45

Good idea Cazza, I'm 30, not married but been with DP for 13 years and work in research.

I had a horrible dream last night - I was away at a work conference and started to bleed really heavily and lost the baby. I woke up this morning feeling really miserable and even ms couldn't put it out of my mind. I guess it's just because I have been worried about whether to tell my DB and how I would feel if my family knew if I mc but it was awful! Going to work now and will try to put it out of my mind.

wibblydibs · 05/02/2009 08:46

Oh and I'm 34 been married 10 years in July. DD1 is 3yrs 4mths and DD2 is 23mths. Was an accountant but am now a stay at home mummy...for now!
