Evening all. MS - go have a nap or a snack; you may find taking your mind off things will help it all kickstart again in a few hours. Good luck.

IDBI - sounds like your DD is trying to stake her territory in advance with the resumed feeding and tantrums over everything. Am sure all will be fine after a transitional phase - and it sounds like it may be a good thing you're having a C-sec as you'll have some time with just you and baby in hospital (when DD isnt trying to stake her space) and also plenty of time with DD during visiting time.

LBB, Nkweto - we get toddler tantrums here too from DS (who had 2 over breakfast because he didnt want the things he had asked for 2 minutes earlier for breakfast - apparently he's been like that most of the day according to his nanny); am putting it down to testosterone surges and him feeling insecure (and ill) as he knows change is coming too as is really unlike him.

Pinktulips - my god, you sound like some kind of superwoman whizzing around everywhere - no wonder you're in agony. Your DP needs a good prod up the bum for letting a heavily pregnant woman dash around like a loon like that when he could easily have helped with so much of it. Would a bath ease your aches and pains at all?

oooggs · 23/01/2009 21:09

well tinks still just you and I?????? come on babies - yes you are right an exclusive club could be the way to get some of these babies moving

idontbelieveit · 23/01/2009 21:11

DS i'm sure you're right. I think the time in hospital will actually be quite relaxing compared to the last couple of weeks!
She'll love being a big sister eventually i'm sure.

PT - that's terrible behaviour from your DH sounds like you need to go on strike.

littleboyblue · 23/01/2009 21:18

Oooggs Very cute pic. Your dc's are adorable!
Hope everything going well and you're all adjusting. x

dinkystinky · 23/01/2009 21:38

Ps THOM - if you're still maybe thinking about a doula, take a look at doula anyone??? thread
(she seems to cover your area)

TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 23/01/2009 21:44

IDBI have a look in breast and bottle feeding there is a thread for tandem support, it started as pregnant and nursing (I was in a lot of pain!) but it's that and tandeming now as people have had babies and others have joined us.

I haven't ever told Tink she has to share. I told her the baby will need me-me too and she can have the other side, I also said she has to show her how to do it. She comes over whenever she sees me feeding now and talks her through it. I've tried to make everything about her rather than the baby, she is very pleased that she is the big sister and that's her little sister and her responsibility to look after.

Oh ek I better go and sort madam out, back soon.

MarkStretch · 23/01/2009 21:50

Swampy, I love my stretchy men, but not half as much as I love you.

Mwah, mwah, mwah

littleboyblue · 23/01/2009 21:54

We just did the deed. It was not the most romantic 10 mins of my life! But has to be done in these desperate stages!

MarkStretch · 23/01/2009 22:05

Yes, ours started with a conversation like this:

'Midwife says we should be having sex to get the baby out'

'Really?!'

I had to put my vienesse whirl back in its bag and follow him. I so wanted to eat that cake.

littleboyblue · 23/01/2009 22:09

Hahaha. I told dp I was having pains in my back, pains in my bump, an ache coming and going in my special place and as all this was happening my heart rate was increasing and I was getting hot flushes, he said "go get your kit off then and we'll see what happens"
Took a while to find a workable way to do it though

nkweto · 23/01/2009 22:10

MS... you have just made me laugh whilst drinking my cup of tea !!

Oooogs... lovely photos of your little ones, Luke is super cute.. congratulations again..

spottyshoes · 24/01/2009 02:50

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't had chance to keep up but I have read the last half dozen posts to show willing

Congratulations Dinkymum and welcome Isaac! (have there been any?)

I have had a rubbish couple of days. Feel really 'out of sorts' and keep getting that horrible weighty bearing down that makes me feel like pooing/water sack will pop out fanjo and really bad back ache. Getting really severe braxton hicks too and been up since 11 as not comfy and been sick Am making do with hot water bottle but will check out my new tens tomorrow even though i'm a day or two shy of 36wks.

Hope everyone is well, I will update the list I think before trying to get some sleep

spottyshoes · 24/01/2009 02:56

Sorry Dinkymum I couldn't seem to find your EDD on the list?? And have presumed he was 5lbs not 51 lbs
