Hkz and FLF Alison the Acupuncturist sounds brilliant, wish I was still in London to visit her. I have an appt here in Wales for Thursday though, so fingers crossed he has the magic touch too (although obviously he's not going to suggest a sweep!)

So I just noticed my midwife notes from yesterday say '4/5ths brim' - does that mean engaged? Hmmmm.... she said he was definitely moving down, and was 'at the brim' but didn't say he was engaged. I really should ask these things at the time.

Hardly slept last night and felt really excited, so thought maybe something would happen today, but once again woke up without a baby... but off to the spa today with my Mum so not too disappointed!

For those of us that haven't popped yet, do you realise our babies will be Aquarians rather than Capricorns now? Not sure I really believe much in star signs anyway!

Hope everyone has a nice day relaxing/ birthing/ feeding as the case may be!

missjackson · 20/01/2009 11:55

ps Am I the only one not to have a name for my baby yet? I'm going to have to send one of those texts to all my friends without a name! DH and I are hopeless at making decisions.

fourlittlefeet · 20/01/2009 12:00

Lol HKZ, thank you! I will call her. Can't believe you can face swimming. Good luck, think its not long for you now... would really like to meet once you are up on your feet again... coffees in broadway market with all the beans ...woohoo!

Exciting Ooogs (queuejumper ), Ellie from April 07 is keeping us posted on Facebook, as I saw logging on to play Lexulous. Good luck. Anyone still waiting fancy a game of Scrabble?

treedelivery · 20/01/2009 12:15

Hi all. Still here and officially overdue.

Woke with pian last night now and again but refused to wake up. Was more of gripey poo pain anyway. Hey ho.

DH has a skip as a gift from his dada so he's out filling it with the rubble from back garden, until post letter arrived saying job seekers is being stopped!

He's ringing now

missjackson · 20/01/2009 12:28

Tree what a strange gift for your DH - a skip?! Hope he gets the jsa sorted out; I had such a hassle getting maternity allowance and wanted to tear my hair out waiting in various phone queues .

Oooogs hope it goes well!

Booksgalore I am getting a head massage, back massage and pedicure... and full cream tea, that's very important. Really excited. This is my Mum's first grandchild and she's being so sweet, trying to keep me relaxed! I'm loving all the attention...

Oh dear, just spent a fortune on greenbaby on sudden impulse- it's like a sickness! Just HAD to get the matching hat and fleece blanket to match the newborn outfit! He probably won't even fit into newborn stuff as I am 5'9 and OH is 6'3 so he is bound to be on the long side! I'm sure after this first baby I will learn my lesson and never buy any new baby stuff again... but until then it's off to hide my parcels of goodies

EachPeachPearMum · 20/01/2009 12:48

booksgalore- I am hoping mine may actually arrive tomorrow! He is so low down- not really sure how he is staying in there!
I thought he might have started yesterday or today... as my MIL works those days, and usually these things happen with most inconvenience roffle, but nope so far.

My car has been collected to be repaired- they think it may even be back by friday, so that is good news.

I actually walked dd to nursery this morning- car was frozen over, and I am trying to get him out now, I think....

treedelivery · 20/01/2009 12:50

Yes a skip . Ah well, suppose all help is greatfully recieved [moved into a do-er upper in March, dh work went into liquidation in Nov and they all got booted into the job centre in one afternoon].

Least the horrible old shed is gone. Now, where to put it's contents......

Job seekers continues for now. Phew. Shitty letter to get though, apparently it is 'badly worded'.
I did shout across room it ''was very well worded 'you will recieve no more JobSeekersAllowance' is very plain English, it's just plain wrong'' the guy on phone heard me but wouldn't admit it.

Apparently in May it will end as my Maternity Pay will make us too rich. God help us.

Ah well, must not worry, must not worry, must not worry, must not worry.......

fourlittlefeet · 20/01/2009 14:47

congratulations ooggs!!!! Love the name Luke.. it was on my list .

largeginandtonic · 20/01/2009 15:28

Congrats Ooogs and Tink!!! More lovely babies

MissHairspray · 20/01/2009 15:30

Congrats oogs everyone is having babies now.

tree that is rubbish it is so unfair how things work, you can spend your life paying a quarter of your wages in taxes each month and then git virtually zilch when you need it.

Well no baby here, not even any niggles anymore so looks like i'll be induced tomorrow. A bit apprehensive about the process but I am ready to get this baby out now. Told a shopkeeper today that I was due two weeks ago and she looked horrified! It is strange to think that this will be my last night at home without a baby, can't get my head around it really!

Well probably see you all on the other side..someone keep a seat for me

Oh MissHairsray - it's bonkers isn't it? I was a shocker going in to have dd, next time we drive the car we'll have a passenger....next time we come home there will be someone else living with us....

I used to be on couch and suddenly remember there was someone else upstairs and just thinking 'OMG!!!'

Totally bonkers business having kids. Have fluffed a pillow for you and topped up your water jug on the other thread....
