kayzr · 06/01/2009 19:46

Yeah and your DH could text us!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 06/01/2009 19:49

i nominate myself!! ... i love getting the news first!! haha!!

kayzr · 06/01/2009 20:03

Can I please kill DH?

He had said we could rehome a kitten that needs a home and now he isn't so keen because he didn't realise we had to have a litter tray. Even though we'll only need it for a few weeks while it gets used to us and the area.

I'm feeling really down now

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 06/01/2009 20:05

awww- kittens are lovely- i have 3 cats, and although one is a pain in the arse when i'm pregnant they are lovely!! I'd ahve another in a flash if i knew it'd settle into the family like the others did.... but dont wanna risk unsettling things!!

kayzr · 06/01/2009 20:09

This is him, he is so gorgeous!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 06/01/2009 20:10

aww- he looks cute!!! i wanna get some pics of my pussy cats on!!!

kayzr · 06/01/2009 20:22

LOL,

We are going to take the side off DS1's cot at the weekend. I am half looking forward to doing it and half not.

It feels like he won't be my baby anymore if he is in a big boy bed. But he is close to climbing out and I'm scared of him falling and hurting himself.

kayzr · 06/01/2009 21:22

I have got a rash on my hands and I have just done the self help guide on NHS direct it says it could be measles.

My mum says I have had the jab as a child. But it is really dangerous in newborns. I have rung the out of hours GP and they are going to ring back.

I am really worried now

largevirginbirthandtonic · 07/01/2009 08:29

Kay measels tends to start on the trunk (tummy, back) and then spread out. It is super rare especially if you have had a jab. Try not to worry and get hold of the GP.

Tink????!!!! Whats happening?

Good grief school run, back later.

kayzr · 07/01/2009 08:32

Morning,

It's not measles!!! Still going to go to GP's though.

Had the night from hell here. I got about 2 hours sleep. I'm going to have to cancel my haircut as I just feel like death really.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/01/2009 09:22

Glad its not the measles Kay...

Tink- kinda glad your still holding onto her, means i have more chance of it being my date & time!!

I finally got a good nights sleep last night- first in a good few weeks... DD didn't wake once, i slept straight throguh to DH's alarm, which was set half an hour early tho so wasn't too impressed as i could have slept for a week!! Had to do the nursery run myself as DH was on an early shift today. We bought some in-car DVD players on ebay last night for the DC's, DH is going to collect them tonight after work!! i'm getting exited!! Mainly for our holiday, but as they were local and a good price we got them now. Hopefully we can book our holiday within a couple of weeks too!! how exiting is that???!!!

kayzr · 07/01/2009 09:30

Tink, I have sent you my number in message on Facebook.

WooHoo for holida Glask, I wanted to do one of those Sun cheap holidays but they have set dates and DH won't be able to get the time off.

I'm going to start saving to do driving lessons or get DH to have another go. He has only failed 5 times

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 07/01/2009 09:47

Morning! Lots to catch up on - work hectic yesterday, esp as trains were all over the place. Left house 6.45, got into work 10.45 . Train timetable has also changed, so now my daily commute is 4 hours 20 mins round trip. Ok, whinge over!
Was good to be back, and my 'secret' is offically out as bump very noticeable (esp in clingy black IO dress I wore ). Had 2 people reach pout and tocuh it , including one student . Of course I just stood there gobsmacked...Absolutely shattered by the time I got home, and headed to bed at 9. Woke up at what I thought was 7am, got dh up, knocked on dds door etc, he takes them downstairs complaining how dark it seems, and then it turns out to be 5.40am . Our radio alarm had gone crazy after the electrics went in the day, and was flashing on and off the wrong time . And of course when the dds are up there's no getting them back to bed!
Many congrats POP, that's wonderful news, and lovely names too. Looking forward to seeing a piccy when you get the chance
KAYZ, that kitten is gorgeous; looks identical to a kitten we had called Ebony, even the same white smudge under chin. Could you convince dh that you would look after litter tray business? You can even get the covered ones with roofs so he wouldn't know it was there?
Sounds exciitng GLASK on the hols front. Where do you have in mind? We're off to Whitby again; love the place!
TINKS, ooh, maybe starting then. Very exciting!! Get to the shops and hopefully if your waters go you'll get a free shop
Right, best get on. Working from home today, so will pop in when the work allows me

kayzr · 07/01/2009 09:54

Ooooh Whitby! Roll on April for Goth Weekend. I didn't go in October because I was 34 weeks with Dylan. Mum is having the boys so we don't have to worry about the pushchair.

Now I just need something to wear.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/01/2009 10:03

Diege- we're going to Disneyland Paris in october... hopefully the 12th-17th, then a night either side at DH's mum's!! Kids are really really exited.... i'm hoping booking now for october will mean we can have the dates and ferry times we want- will be odd needing a passport for a 6mth old though!!

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 07/01/2009 10:17

Goth weekend sounds good KAYZ - will you be dressing up?
GLASK, wow disneyland! Just a word of warning re: baby passports, they can be really fussy in my experience with the passport piccy. I got one for dd3 when she was 10 months, and it took about 2 months of going back and forth to the PO before they were happy with the photo. She also had chicken pox at the time of the photo, so was covered in spots, which caused a lot of umming and ahhing too. Just mean to say don't leave till last minute!
Arghh, I cannot get motivated to do any work at all. Just want to eat omlette and grapefruit juice!

Cosmogirl · 07/01/2009 10:17

Morning all,

Hope you don't have too much longer to wait Tink. Diege 4 hours 20 mins?! My goodness, that is an immense commute.

I am really fed up today. Feeling nauseous (as always) but just fed up with having to come to work and pretend I am feeling well and normal when I feel sick and tired and completely unmotivated. Baby is moving around loads today too, which is good, but I think it makes the nausea stronger, so just feeling bleurgh and sorry for myself today ...........

Sorry for the moan - hope everyone else is feeling bit more chipper.

Playing - good to 'see' you btw. 9 weeks left ....lucky you.

tinkwantsherbaby · 07/01/2009 10:18

hi kay cheers for number on facebook
tried texting you to check that it is correct number phone is saying it needs 11 digits only given me one with 10

kayzr · 07/01/2009 10:19

Yes I will be dressing up. I need to buy some more stuff though as I'm hoping to have lost a fair bit of weight by then but probably not enough to fit into my size 10 stuff.

I really want this. I love it.

kayzr · 07/01/2009 10:21

Sent it again. I missed a number out.

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 07/01/2009 10:28

ooh lovely KAYz, that will look stunning .
Sorry to hear you're feeling so ill and down COSMO Is there anyone at work that you can have a good moan to, to get if off your chest? Can imagine that having to appear well and happy would make it doubly bad How long till mat leave now?
On subject of mat leave, my HOD mentioned that they get extra funding from gov' if I am away for 9 months or more...very tempting, and will do that anyway if the 9 months can be made up of hols owing as well as mat leave, otherwise it won't be feasible financially for us. Must sit down soon and try and work it all out!

Cosmogirl · 07/01/2009 10:33

Thanks Diege. Not really anyone I can talk to a work. Two girls I work most closely with have heard a lot about the nausea and don't want to bore them further as I prob sound like a broken record already. I think it is just tough because with nausea outwardly you look fine and well but inside you feel you want to curl up in a ball and go to sleep....

Mat leave start last at end of Feb, so only 38 or so working days left, but seems a long way off to me at the moment. Just having a bad week I suppose....

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 07/01/2009 10:44

I know what you mean COSMO - it really grates when people say 'but you look so well!!!'. Is there any chance of taking mat leave earlier, even a week or so? Sounds like you're really ready for a break..
