So excited to be starting my first thread!!!

Just had a BFP this morning a couple of days before AF is due and according to FF, my EDD is 1st September 09.

I have one DD (March 05) and had MMC in late September this year, so a little nervous but really ready for this.

Looking forward to a few more people joining me on here!

Missiemoo, so sorry you've had some spotting. It can happen in pregnancy and the pregnancy continues perfectly well. My sister has had spotting through both her successful pregnancies, in fact the only time she didn't was when she mc'd. I would definitely get it checked out though to be on the safe side. Either contact your gp, call the nearest epu if you've got one, or the mw if you've been given contact details for them. Good luck, I'm keeping everything crossed for you x

honestlyandtruly · 23/01/2009 14:09

So very sorry for your loss, HeadFairy. Take care, and wishing you all the very best of luck with ttc in the future.

HeadFairy · 23/01/2009 14:12

Thanks for all your kind thoughts honestlyandtruely and everyone else. I'm eating my bodyweight in chocolate and having a well earned sofa day (with the lap top out of course!)

MissieMoosMummy · 23/01/2009 14:27

Thanks for the advice. I called the Gp, and luckily the mw is there today. She will call me back when she's finished with her current patient.

HeadFairy · 23/01/2009 14:30

Good luck, hope everything is ok.

Snowfalls108 · 23/01/2009 15:34

Anyone else had headaches?
I've got a awful one at the moment.
Any tips?
xx

pooka · 23/01/2009 15:34

Fingers crossed for you MMM.

pooka · 23/01/2009 15:35

Yep - I've had hideous headaches. Had them when pg with dd as well, though not so much with ds. Grim.

BabyLady · 23/01/2009 16:09

Hope all is ok MissieMoos

For all those who had had early scans, thought you mind find this article interesting (seems to suggest that risks of MC go quite far down after seeing heartbeat and the later you see the heartbeat the less chance of MC).

silentlywondering · 23/01/2009 16:16

I get hormonal migraines, have done since puberty. They are always bad during the first and third trimester and I can't take anything for them. Work are always a pita about them as well.!

silentlywondering · 23/01/2009 16:17

I tend to disappear into a dark room with a cool and soothe gel sheet on my forehead.

smileycat · 23/01/2009 18:05

Missismoosmummy big hug I've got everything crossed for you that its just harmless spotting & it will all clear up

I suffered really badly with headaches with ds & the dr said not to take anything in the 1st 12 wks. Touch wood at the moment I havn't had any, so its either a girl or I'm just lucky at the moment & they'll appear any day now

lysie · 23/01/2009 18:51

I am 5 weeks today. A newbie (pregnancy & message boards) trying to grasp the lingo.

What does EED stand for?

My due date is 25/09/09, it is my first baby I am 29, my partner and are ridiculously excited, but are trying to keep things in perspective as it is so early.

detoxdiva · 23/01/2009 18:54

hi everyone else hope your all ok, had loads of backache today and suffering with headaches and tiredness. having an early night catch up over the weekend xxx

bobber · 23/01/2009 20:12

So so sorry Headfairy. Take good care of yourself.

Hello to all the newbies and congrats

Well, Im going to have a bit of a long weekend of worry. Got the tiniest bit of orange -yes orange - mucousy type stuff this morning. Then had tiniest bit of pale brown spotting late morning. Had bad cramps all afternoon (put it down to stressful day at work),but no more spotting so didnt bother booking appt with GP. Now Ive got a bit more spotting & cramps are worse . Typical - will have to wait until Monday for any reassurance. During last mc the out of ours doc said there was nothing that can be done over a weekend here & stay put unless bleeding heavy. Now, I would have been due my period now (am 7 weeks 5 days) - I so hope its that that is causing it & all is fine...

Sails · 23/01/2009 20:45

So so sorry headfairy about what happened. I've have 2 mc and its everyones worst fear. Take good care of yourself and wishing you all the luck in the world for next time and also sending you a virtual hug! xx

Sails · 23/01/2009 20:58

Hi, can I join you please. Not sure of my EDD as only just managed to get an appointment with GP for next Tuesday. Think it will be around the 18/09. Am still in shock at getting a BFP at my advanced old fogey age! Already have 1 DS (0ct 06).

terrifiedsnooper · 23/01/2009 23:27

Oh Headfairy, I am so sorry

MissieMoosMummy · 24/01/2009 00:04

Hi all,

The Gp called me in for an examination and, basically, there's little hope for Beanie. I been feeling pretty gutted all afternoon, but feeling somewhat better now that it's sunk in.

Thanks for all the well wishes, and hope the rest of you have uneventful pgs. xx
