So excited to be starting my first thread!!!

Just had a BFP this morning a couple of days before AF is due and according to FF, my EDD is 1st September 09.

I have one DD (March 05) and had MMC in late September this year, so a little nervous but really ready for this.

Looking forward to a few more people joining me on here!

Thanks for your kind wishes. I went to the Pinehill hospital in Hitchin & all 3 docs there that do the scans there are consultants based at either the Lister in Stevenage or QE2 in Welwyn, which I found very reassuring. The doctor I saw was trained by the famous London professor - name escapes me - who is a top expert in scanning. Prices were similar to others I'd looked at (£100 for fetal viability & £150 for nuchal combined tests).
I went there for DD1 too. The doc I saw has a website for his scan service - try google Hertfordshire pregnancy ultrasound service I think. I would definitely recommend them if its not too far to travel for you.

Thanks Bobber - I actually have Pinehill's number for the nuchal given to me by the mw on Wed, so it's good to hear you were happy with them. Hitchin is pretty close too. You go from 11 - 13+6 weeks so I've got a few weeks yet )think I'm 7+1 today but will wait for scan on 27th to confirm. Have booked in at the Lister for the birth, but think I've mentioned before that I'm keen for a home birth this time.

Hello everyone :D

I just had a BFP yesterday, and i have no idea when my last period was, I think it was mid November. But i've only had 3 since DS was born last Dec, so i never keep track. So i am guessing i fit in here somewhere!
I only took the test because i have become so tiered as of late and had a funny feeling something was going on.

Wow detoxdiva - what a small world!. I'm Lister too (though definitely not brave enough for a home birth, so hope & pray I get to the Lister on time)! Where are you? Im in Baldock. Think I'm 7 weeks tomorrow so we're very close in dates too - spooky!

Congrats to all the new BFPs. PrammyMammmy - you'll hopefully get an early scan wont you to date you which would be great, as your cycles are not straight forward?

Symptoms by the bucket load here - funny I should mention buckets - been walking round with one all day as I think this nausea is about to progress to the next stage .

Had my 3rd preg 3 years ago which was ectopic. i had a tube removed and its taken me ages to get this BFP!

I'm very nervous about another EP but feel like crap, really sick and dizzy so i'm taking this as a good sign

Bobber - indeed a small world. I am in Potton (10 mins up the A1 from Lister which is making me feel braver about a home birth!)I know Baldock well - my grandparents were born and lived all their lives there. Who knows - we may bump into each other when we go for our Lister scans . Hope the sickness eases soon for you.

Hi my babys due 19/9. My 3rd!

Hi ladies,
I'm really excited and just a little terrified to find myself finally pregnant! I think I'm about 6 weeks so due mid-late September.
First pregnancy so I've no idea what to expect - have been feeling pretty sick on and off all day for a week or two and I'm told that's a good sign!
However, am feeling scared that something will go wrong so trying very hard to keep things hush hush - but we just want to shout our news from the rooftops!

Have to be honest feel like a total fraud coming on here. Not excited in the least was not ttc very anxoius and tearful and scared atm. Started a thread on aibu yesterday outlining this. Feel like joining this club is a positive step though. Hope I'm still welcome feel like I'm going to need all the support I can get over the coming months!

Ante natal groups are here to support any expectant woman regardless of circumstances. You are allowed to be upset love. I wasn't actively trying for no 3 either and with my history am terrified. The best thing to do is to keep talking love. I find there is always someone who can answer or identify with me, it helps me to know I am not alone.

I've just thought I will have to change my name as its an acronym of my familys name (sort of)!

Will change mine back to my usual posting name when I have had my scan at epau on the 16/2 as long as everything is ok!

Just updating my due date after an early scan (a heartbeat!! - bobber what a relief eh?). I had a suspected ectopic - now disproved, thank goodness!

Anyone else feeling incredibly fat even though the baby is apparently only the size of a bean ?

I feel uncomfy/fat towards the end of the day but am sure that is partly psychological and partly because it's my 5th pregnancy so my system sees the HCG hormone and goes haywire.

When is yours due silently? I've worked out its due on the 19/9 but I have only just found out and haven't even seen the doctor yet!!! My own parents don't know yet. The doctor will be surprised I should think as I had arranged to have the mirena fitted after my next period. Had swabs etc and had been given the all cleaar to go ahead. A bit late now though!

Somewhere between the 16th and 19th by dates as I have a 28-31 day cycle. However if follows pattern of my two monsters will be at least 1 week late. DS was 16 days late. May of given enough info on this thread to out myself already to at least one person on the thread so not sure why I am staying incognito as I have told my mum and my sister. DH has told me not to tell the world though incase it all goes wrong again.

My children are aged 3 and 14 months and will be 4 (just) and 22 months when the baby is born so you see you can understand why I am more than a little anxious!! DS1 was 4 weeks early and ds2 was 4 day early. Have also had 2 miscarriages

yeh, i will make an appointment on monday. I don't even feel pg, just tiered. Last time i was being sick and fainting everywhere. I hope this continues lol. I'll add myself to the list :D.

Oh that is great news blinder - what a relief that must have felt! I was wondering about how you were getting on. My tum is huge too, but am not surprised having seen the scan - my uterus looked absolutely massive already. It looked like my little 9mm bean was swimming in an olympic sized pool with room for sextuplets . Really wished I'd asked the consultant about it, but didnt realise till I looked at other scans at 6/7 weeks online how small others were. Could it be that I've had 3 pregnancies since September and my womb doesnt know whether its coming or going??!! .

detoxdiva - I know Potton because my mum was house-hunting there - lovely little town. Yes - we may well cross paths at the Bancroft - best get red carnation & copy of the Times under the arm ready!!

Its just frightening how many have of us have been through the horror of miscarriage here. It hardly crossed my mind during my first preg (ignorance is definitely bliss) & now I think about miscarrying more than meeting my baby - defense mechanism I suppose

Hi ladies can I join please? I got a BFP earlier this week (before AF was due) so I think I will only be just 5 weeks sometime this coming week. This was our first cycle of TTC and will be our frst DC. I had a MMC in Dec 07. The pg was unplanned but me and DH were overjoyed when we found out but then devastated when it all went wrong. At the moment I am excited but not as much so as last time because I feel so scared that it will happen again. I have sore (.)(.) and quite tired but no other symptoms yet.

Bobber I know exactly how you feel. DH keeps telling me about stuff we will need to sort out and I keep telling him I don't want to think about any of it till we get past the 9 weeks which appears to be the flash point for me. Not going to tell anyone unless they ned to know till after 12 weeks as I am terrified.
