So excited to be starting my first thread!!!

Just had a BFP this morning a couple of days before AF is due and according to FF, my EDD is 1st September 09.

I have one DD (March 05) and had MMC in late September this year, so a little nervous but really ready for this.

Looking forward to a few more people joining me on here!

Due the same day as you, cherrylips ...still getting my head round it too. I'll have an almost 5yo and a newborn. I've spent a lot of time wondering this week wondering if I'm mad.

Just got a BFP so can I join? Have name changed cause I haven't told anyone in rl cause I am worried tbh as I have a history of miscarriage.

Had my Dr's appoinment yesterday - went much like yours all have by the sound of it! Worked my dates out with Dr and will be 5 weeks tomorrow....how early is that?! Got all depressed about how early it is and that things can go wrong. Am just having an off day I guess. September seems so far away!!

So have got a due date of the 18th. Dr is trying to get me an early scan though, so am hoping I won't have to wait another 6 weeks for that. You never know though, so watch this space.

Sorry to hear some of you are having a rough time - things are so shaky at the minute aren't they? We're going through a restructure at work at the moment too, so keeping my fingers crossed (twice as much as hubby works here too)!

Am sooooo tired today - am sat here virtually nodding off - had forgotten just how dibilitating pregnancy can be in those early weeks! Just waiting for the MS next eugh.

Trixie - how do you feel about that? What made the dr suspect? I think I'd be quite made up with twins cause DH wants 3 children and we already have 20 month old DD but I really can't face going thro pg again if this one is successful. Mind you, could be a lot of hard work....

Seems an over the top reaction from your doc mama2leah. People cope with multiples all the time which makes a 13(?) mth gap look really good!

Trixievix, would like to know why your doc thinks there are two!

5 weeks today and am feeling wiped - think I can do something but then end up sitting down for another half an hour. Don't feel sleepy tired, just weary, with no reserves, and because I don't feel sleepy I feel like I'm being a bit pathetic, and am slightly glum, possibly a bit teary if pushed. This is normal, right? (It's my first so I'm clueless) I'm having vague cramps a lot and I don't think they're helping either

mummy2leah that is awful i am that they would say that! Having a 13mth gap isnt that bad.

Trix what gave your gp the idea that you might have twins...? Does he have xray vision?

mummytoleah - that is apalling, I would seriously complain.

My first 2 were only 15 months apart, but my GP just said congratulations, at least you will get the nappy stage over with quickly.

If you are even slightly concerned about how you will manage, I will tell you about my cousin and his wife, they had twin girls 7 weeks prem, then 11 months later their DS appeared, and they manage and positively relished the slight chaos. Chin up.

mummytoleah that's appalling I'd be very tempted to complain if I were you. I know someone who had an 11 month gap and she coped fine, so will you.

My boobs are so sore ow ow ow ow

I'm getting a few stretching pains too in my pelvic area, I don't remember getting those with dd. It was a while ago though so perhaps time has faded the memories

Well, I'm only 5 weeks tomorrow (by my dates - still being careful up until Boxing Day) and my conception indicator said 2-3 weeks last week. However, people can tell I'm pregnant already (and have so far, only told my parents and sister under strict instructions not to tell ANYONE) because I have a definite bump already. When I went to the Dr's, and said I thought I was pregnant, he first reaction was "I'll say"!!

Anyway, he's had a prod of my tummy (which was actually quite uncomfortable) and said he can feel definite changes in there, so either I'm quite a bit further on than I think I am, or there's more than one in there. He also said because my cycle was all over the place, that it wouldn't surprise him if I wasn't releasing an egg each month, and then 2 the next etc.

He has referred me for an early scan to determine, but has asked me to go back next week because if I am further on than I think I am, the heartbeat should be able to be heard.

So, time will tell, but I'm not even beginning to think about it in the meantime. I'm a big believer in what will be will be!

Hello everyone! Can I join you? Was very excited/shocked to get a BFP yesterday . We've been TTC for 10 months, EDD is 17 September. Have one DD (2.6 yrs). No symptoms as yet, apart from some mild cramping pains. Dreading the morning sickness as I suffered really badly with this during my last pregnancy. Although, as others have said, it would be reassuring in a way. I've added my details to the list below.

Hello everyone! Was told about this site by a friend and it's really comforting to know there's loads of us going through the same stuff. Got a BFP on Monday this week and off to the docs later today. I'm 36 and this is my first pregnancy and have no idea what to expect... had strange abdominal cramps this week which have now passed, but have read on this site that that's normal. Due date according to pregnancy calenders on the net is 23rd Sept so early days yet. Great to say hello and meet you all!

I feel like shit.
I think I am going to have to tell my boss next week.

I have had 2 days off with crippling nausea. Still don't feel pregnant though. Weird.
