lol. mine has just turned; how weird is that? Just started getting kicks on the right after 2 weeks of left. think it was whilst crawling into DD's bed to settle her again!!

moosemama · 04/01/2009 23:03

Well, have school uniforms sorted, but pe kits not ironed or packed (school not till Tuesday though). Haven't finished putting things in hospital bag, haven't packed an overnight bag for the boys, but have almost finished all baby washing and drying.

Appointment at hospital tomorrow at 9am to see about a possible sweep' so am going to try and go to bed now as will have to be up ridiculously early to get boys to Grandmas on the way.

Periwink, was it you that has a similar appointment tomorrow? - think it was. Anyway, good luck, hope it goes well.

Tree hope things go well, keep us updated on your progress! Looking forward to hearing any news when I get back from the hospital.

fourlittlefeet · 05/01/2009 09:12

morning all! logged on for news of tree... want to know what the clary sage has been doing!

I've had a fabulous night's sleep for the first time since christmas, which seems a very long time ago. Also having strong BH and feel an energy surge. Come. On. Baby. Its not that I really need to have it now, just that this perma-am-I-in-labour is exhausting and annoying! Don't feel I can plan anything!

Hope everyone enjoying the snow...gave me such a shock that I screeched out 'oh my God!'. Now DD keeps running around, putting her hands to her face and exclaiming 'oh my god!'. DP has just taken her to nursery, heaven knows what they'll think of this behaviour.

tinkwantsherbaby · 05/01/2009 09:13

no snow here!!

fourlittlefeet · 05/01/2009 09:19

apparently its 'sweeping the country' .

largevirginbirthandtonic · 05/01/2009 09:29

Tree!!!!! Are you having a baby?! Come on lady, post from the bed

Gah! Twas back to school in the gin house this morning. Dragging sleeping children up goes against everything i believe in It is feezing here too. My ears are tingling from the cold.

The girl is due a week today, she is mostly ROA and head not engaged at all. Will probably stay that way till labour like the last two did. DD came out OP so am not too worried about fitting heads through pelvis. Shoulders are more of an issue.

I found the very expensive Peanutshell slings in TKMAXX last week for £20 instead of £46 if anyone is interested. They had LOADS, lovely colours and all sizes.

Who asked about Verity? I love it and Elisabeth too. Love the old names. Not telling what is the latest one on our list you will all PYSL...

Come on everyone we need some births, tis January now ya know

Busy busy posters again!

Tree Come on lady, its your turn! Sending good vibes & looking forwards to hearing all about it!!

Lots of snow here! Realised there was a blanket of snow on one of my middle of the night toilet trips.

Seem to have alot of "wind" at the moment... Sorry if tmi, and spent alot of last night awake with periody type cramps. not REALLY painful, just slightly uncomfortable. Not sure if BH (Tummy did feel very hard, but my bump is always pretty darn solid) or whether i've got a funny tummy or something ( hence the wind!?) We shall see!

Come on..... its january, where are our january babies! x

witchwithallthetrimmings · 05/01/2009 10:27

hello everybody (was too busy over christmas to check in) v late pregnancy seems to induce a manic martha stewart/anthea turner/nigella lawson in me that will hopefully disapper post partum. Am due on thursday, getting loads of twinges and what i think are braxton hicks (but could be just wind).

rrrayray · 05/01/2009 10:44

witch your twinges/wind feelings sound just like mine! Although i'm not due until 20th.

Was wondering if anyone has done any accupunture/reflexology? I REALLY don't want to go over due!!! Infact, baby, today would be nice!!!

moosemama · 05/01/2009 11:10

Morning everyone.

Had a rough night with strong periody type cramps regularly about every 50 minutes or so which kept me awake most of the night but stopped at around 6 am!

Just back from hospital. Had a sweep, cervix was open but still quite posterior. It was a lot more painful this time than it was with DS1 but then is 4 days earlier than it was that time.

Suggested I ask my mw to do another sweep in 7 days if this one doesn't work, then have to go in for monitoring on Wed 14th and they have booked a possible induction date for 15th. Not sure if I will go for the induction, but thought it wouldn't harm to let them go ahead and book the appointment. Sure I will be well fed up by then as is 40+11!

Am pretty uncomfortable now, twingy and niggly sharp pains, also had quite bad spd type pain before I went that is absolutely killer since the internal. Not really expecting much to happen though. Felt really when DH had to go straight to work after the appointment, feels like its going to be such a long day.

DS1 was in tears this morning as he was so tired when we got him up to go to Grandmas. Lord only knows how we are going to get him to school tomorrow. He seems really run down and has been asking to go to bed by 6.30 in the evening then not getting up till 8 or 9 o'clock in the morning. Really hope he doesn't come down with something just as its time for him to go back to school, but at least it would explain the vile behaviour we've had off him in the last few days.

tinkwantsherbaby · 05/01/2009 11:19

good luck mm

fourlittlefeet · 05/01/2009 11:21

ooh good luck Moose! sounds like its all go at yours, hope you can get some rest in case you do go into Labour. I've had some really odd strong contractions in the night too. Nice hot bath helped loads though!

rrrayray · 05/01/2009 11:25

Good luck moose!!

I've just booked a preggy accupunture session next wed - Well, it can't hurt can it!!! :~)

Periwink · 05/01/2009 11:34

Moose - yes it was me who also had the sweep appointment today but i have chickened out of the appointment and moved it to Wednesday at 9am in the hope that baby will want to pop out before then, if not then I am going to go ahead with the sweep on Wednesday! Let me know how you get on - hope all goes well!

moosemama · 05/01/2009 11:36

Thanks all.

Twinges have calmed down now am home and settled. Really don't think it will work this time, would go for a walk or something to try and help things along if a) I wasn't so exhausted b) my spd wasn't killing me and c) it wasn't so flippin slippy outside!

Boys are being good and playing on the computer nicely together so am trying to get some rest for now.

moosemama · 05/01/2009 11:38

Where is Tree?!

Dying to find out whether or not we can welcome another baby to the list!

Periwink · 05/01/2009 11:40

Moose - just read your message now .... I am more terrified of being induced than the actual labour (first timer what do I know!!!) - will let you know how I get on on Wednesday.

Rrrayray - I have had weekly reflexology over the past two months and it is heavenly and the most relaxing thing ever, plus it helps that the reflexologust is so knowledeable on pregnancy. I am booked in for a priming of labour session on Friday (7 days overdue then)

Well I have now turned off my phone and removed the messaging system from my mobile - I was getting inundated with calls and text messages saying "has baby arrived yet / any baby news" ect)

rrrayray · 05/01/2009 11:47

periwink def think i will be getting onto the reflexology thing too then! honestly, i will try anything!!! :-D

at friends/family doing the "have you dropped yet" texts/calls.... i haven't had any really... but then, not quite Due yet. Maybe i should send out a pre warning text that we WILL let you know, so PLEASE don't ask!!!

moose I think tree is def having bubba! Hurrah!! Fingers (but NOT legs) crossed!!

moosemama · 05/01/2009 11:55

Ooh exciting news about tree.

Am dreading the school run tomorrow as there will be endless comments like 'is that baby ever going to be born?' 'haven't you had it yet?' etc etc etc ad nauseum.

Fortunately DH is doing the morning run, so I won't have to stand in a queue with all the other Mums. Will have to try and hide somewhere in the playground when I go to pick them up in the afternoon though.

Right am going to put my feet up and head down for half an hour while the boys are quiet, am beyond absolutely exhausted now.

LenniEd · 05/01/2009 11:59

Even my DH's business associates are asking now ... noticed when I sat as his desk this morning that he has a glut of emails on his flagged list with titles along the lines of "Any baby news yet?" Looks like no-one has got anything to do on the first proper working day since xmas
Aaaargghhhh! Leave me alone!! I'll pop when I want to

Feel better now!

MM- hope all ok. Sounds promising. Get some rest if you can.
