Evening all! Lots to catch up on again! Kay it all sounds very promising to me. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

LOL at baby batter

I am full of cold have been quite ill today and yesterday with ear ache, terrible sinuses and sore throat too. To make it worse last night our heating and hot water stopped working and I sobbed for about half an hour

Gladly it is back on today and all is well although I did go into work late and went home early I do feel sorry for my boss getting lumbered with me as an employee!

Im having time off tomorrow for my 20 WEEK SCAN OH ME OH MY! Me and DH are so excited - a little nervous too. I cannot believe how fast this week has gone and that I might no the gender of my baby by tomorrow night

OK I'll stop wittering on now!

Hooray for baths - I am going to have one in a minute as I missed out yesterday eve with no hot water!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/12/2008 19:40

argh Gruff- i'm so exited for you!!!! I've been waiting for you to come on so i could say good luck!! What time is the scan?? are you abel to get back online to tell us asap afterwards?? you know how sad all of our lives are , we'll all be waiting on tenterhooks!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 01/12/2008 19:58

Yay Gruff!!! What time is your scan?
I'm doing interviews all day tomorrow but will be lurking in between via my phone!
That's brightened my evening - good bit of excitement

kayzisexpecting · 01/12/2008 20:09

OOoooooooh another scan!!!!!!! I can't wait to find out what you are having. Glask if I have gone into labour you must text me and tell me what Gruff is having.

Ses, I agree with Glask. I haven't had a mc but I had to terminate a baby about 6 years ago because he(have always thought he was a boy) hadn't formed properly and he wouldn't have survived if I had carried on with the pregnancy. The night before all of my scans I have dreamt the same had happened and they are so real.
I agree with having a bath and just relax. I am positive everything will be fine.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 01/12/2008 20:12

Thanks Kay - think I'll stop doing work emails and MNing and scoot off for that bath in a minute. That must have been really difficult for you 6 years ago. I guess we all go through a lot in our lives and it's just how we deal with it and come through that makes us who we are!

LOL at you being in labour but waiting with bated breath for a text re Gruff's scan

kayzisexpecting · 01/12/2008 20:17

It was horrible. I was 16 and xp was 17 and we had toyed with having a termination due to our ages but decided we just couldn't do it. Then we were told that, it was devastating. We had planned our wedding and everything but we couldn't stay together after it happened.
I have sometimes thought that it happened because we discussed not keeping him. But these things happen and thats how I look at it now.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/12/2008 20:17

dont worry kay- i'll keep you posted if you go into labour overnight!!... do you want me to text you too ses? or will it be just as easy for you to come online via your phone?

GruffaloSoldier · 01/12/2008 20:18

Just had a luke warm bath dont think heating is fixed think i night have pneumonia now LOL

My scan is at 3.30 and my blackberry internet miraculously started working again after 2 months so in theory I should be able to post asap!!

Phew Im warming up now, at least heating is working

Thanks for luck!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 01/12/2008 20:21

I've got 6 hour long interviews to do so will try and lurk at some point in between!

Do text me if Kay goes into labour though between 9am and 4pm tomorrow as I think I'd be tempted to cancel all the interviews!!

Gruff - if your scan is at 3.30 that's very good timing as I should be able to log on via my phone just after 4pm!! Thank you for timing it so well

GruffaloSoldier · 01/12/2008 20:22

oh ans so sorry for your dream Ses, but pregnancy is such a bad time for dreams anyway - i have dreamt some pretty messed up stuff. Its only natural that paired with your understandable anxiety that you would dream something like that. I hope you get a better night sleep. Please have a really nice bath tonight (unlike me) and think about lots of positive things before you go to bed!

kayzisexpecting · 01/12/2008 20:24

Think about chocolate!!!!!!! That is positive.

GruffaloSoldier · 01/12/2008 20:25

x posts ses!

That s quite alright I psychically knew that would be a good time for you

LOL at cancelling interviews for Kays labour!

kayzisexpecting · 01/12/2008 20:34

I would like to apologise in advance to the people who may have their interviews cancelled tomorrow.

He is still quite low down. Do you think I should jump on DH when he gets in?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/12/2008 20:37

defo!!!!

GruffaloSoldier · 01/12/2008 20:44

I think you should do a huge leap

kayzisexpecting · 01/12/2008 21:20

My bloody internet started playing up. Stupid thing.

I have really bad heartburn tonight, it is doing my head in. Hopefully when baby gets here the heartburn will go too.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 01/12/2008 21:45

Had my bath and do feel better for it.

Good luck tomorrow Gruff

Kay - am sure heartburn will go on 10th
Not sure from sounds of things though that you'll need to wait that long!

kayzisexpecting · 01/12/2008 21:49

LOL! No not the 10th. MIL says I'm not allowed remember. She rang earlier and said to DH "if we planned our DCs we wouldn't be having a baby in December"

They were both planned. I am tempted to print out all the threads from when I was ttc so she can see that we planned the children.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 01/12/2008 21:58

Ridiculous! My mum said I should have waited until after we moved house! They don't seem to get how longed for these dc are!
It has to be the 10th

kayzisexpecting · 01/12/2008 22:06

Nope it has to be before the 8th so my Dad can see him when he comes up to visit.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/12/2008 08:03

Morning

Gruff, hooray for scan, can't wait for the news

Ses, hope you managed a dreamless or at least better night's sleep, I agree with everyone, it is only to be expected I'm affraid, I had some awful dreams after the MC and they started again when I got pregnant again, and then again everytime something has happened. Strangly enough I don't very often think of the MC in a sad way anymore, but as soon as something happens it kind of brings it all back.

Sorky, hoorah for P&T coming - that was quick! Are you using it now or waiting till the baby is here?

Kay, I will cross my fingers for you for him to make his apearance before the 8th (but still think xmas day is as good as any!!)

It is our 8th wedding anniversary today, DS1 is still ill, it has snowed, DH only just managed to get out of the road this morning and if it snows anymore he'll not get back in, and I spent the whole night awake because I was so swollen I couldn't bloody move, it was the worst it has ever been last night, everything was pulsing and aching, luckily it seems to have gone down a bit this morning, but I am not looking forward to tonight, and the contractions, I was so close to going in at about 4 this morning, am now of course glad I didn't because once again they have trailed back off to every 10-ish minutes - happy anniversary eh?! At least the washer/dryer should be here tomorrow so I can start on these piles and piles and piles of washing, am quite looking forward to getting stuck into it!

Oh and peas, they should ban the lot of them, gross little green things that serve no purpose except for to taste and smell disgusting. I don't like peas!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/12/2008 08:14

Morning All

Hope everyone is well, freezing today hope some of you have got snow though, we've just got ice

Happy Anniv Nat!

Gruff good luck with the scan, can wait to hear how it goes and see pics of mini Gruff

Hi LB, nice to see you here again.

Hi everyone else...

Midwife later today... need to try and get physio referal since Im walking like a old lady at the moment...

largeginandtonic · 02/12/2008 08:27

Morning all!

Who asked about the Seraphine jeans? Anyhoo they are fab, i love them. I am a usual 12 and short (5'3) i ordered the short ones and a size 3. I fear i am alipping in to the 14 size but too late to buy now. The bump band is low and does not cover the bump at all but i wear bump bands anyway so it didnt bother me. They do look like entirely normal jeans. I am a bit i dont fit in them anymore. I am living in 2 pairs of Next maternity 12 jeans.

My norks also (like Nat) grew massively after my milk came in. I have a few bras of gargantuan size to get me through that bit. They do settle but there was no way they were sqeezing in to regular BF ones.

Oh god the time!!! The baby is still in jammas!!

kayzisexpecting · 02/12/2008 08:30

Happy Aniversary Nat!!!!

We have lots of snow here, looks very pretty.

I am so close to murdering DH this morning. We went to bed at the same time, he slept all night, I was awake all night with all sorts of niggles and twinges. I got about 2 hours sleep. Who is in bed demanding a lie in and who is up with DS? It is really starting to get to me now

I thought it was going to happen last night but no such luck.

Hope everyone is ok and feeling better than I am

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/12/2008 08:36

Thanks for the 'happy anniversaries' It get's you thinking about everything that has happened since we've been married, 8 years seems like a long time, but it only seems like yesterday we were on our way up to Scotland!

It is snowing proper big flakes, poor DH is going to have trouble getting back tonight methinks.

GYo, good luck with the MW

LG&T, go get the baby dressed!

Kay, go pour cold water on him - or even better, make a snowball
