Seen it now, makes me . My pics wernt v. good at all. You could hardly make anything out

HtheH · 04/12/2008 15:02

How big is everyone? I have put on a whopping 10 pounds! Pretty much all on my stomach and boobs I would say! It didn't help that I ahd to stay almost horizontal for the first 3 months and with the sickness had to eat all the time to relieve it. But I am very much in maternity trousers at 17 weeks. I have a definite bump now - is this a bit unusual for the first?! My husband loves it, but I do feel enormous already, especially in the evenings, can wake up feeling just a bit round and then come night time I look 9 months pregnant (well not quite, but you know what I mean). And what is this profile thingy I don't know about photos and things, how do I do that?

Momino · 04/12/2008 15:27

Can't believe you're talking about Ben Folds, I've got the Ben Fold's 5 abum 'whatever and ever amen' in whilst i work. just hear the podcast on 6music as well.

again, thanks for the advice on potty training and i agree i can't be negative. but i think a lot of that has to do with my own pnd and i have to keep that separate from poor dd1. i'm also at wit's end because i've been (half-heartedly) encouraging all year. we have a potty in the bathroom, i've taken her to choose new pants (she's now outgrown the 2-3 yr ones which have gone un used, lucky for dd2), rewards, exclaiming when she sits on the potty etc. i'm not sure whether to leave it another week or just try cold turkey tomorrow. we could stay in and watch cbeebies all day.... that sounds nice!

MatthewAndBumpsMummy · 04/12/2008 15:46

hi all

heard heartbeat for first time yesterday very cute! bit dissapointed as it was only 155(whatever it is) does that mean its gonna be a boy again? i though that was quite slow compared to some.

i think im just starting to look pregnant im 14wks+4 not really sure though coz im over weight anyway its hard to tell i have lost over a stone though sickness which is still going on!!! but not as bad as last pregnancy thankfully.

Febes · 04/12/2008 16:07

I had DD at St Georges as I lived in Colliers Wood at the time they were fine. We just moved to Sutton so will go to St Heliers this time.

I am so bored at work, only have 2 weeks left until redundancy kicks in. Think I may have couple of jobs in the pipeline though for the first few months of next year. Would be good financially, but I have to say I am looking forward to a bit of a break and a few lie ins!

agooboo · 04/12/2008 16:30

HtheH - i haven't got on the scales but I have put weight on mainly tummy and boobs i am guessing at about 7lbs? Starting to look pregnant now but if I wear wrong stuff just look like Ive had to many pies. It's about 17 weeks that it (the uterus) gets to/goes above your belly button so sounds about right.

HtheH · 04/12/2008 16:39

I just sussed out the profile page thingy and have seen your gorgeous picture Agooboo. Such a perfect little bundle. Might try and post a picture myself when I get home later.

Jael · 04/12/2008 17:01

I'm going to go and have a lie in the bath with DD before DP gets home from work. We were just sitting on the couch together when she grabbed my boob and said "Mommy your boobies are getting really big" Nice of her to point it out to me, I've gone up one cup size so far. Still can't believe, before we got pregnant with DD I was an A cup, an A!! And I was contemplating a boob job lol

Jael X

Momino · 04/12/2008 17:06

Jael, that's funny what your dd said!

i was an A cup as well, seems like I've shrunk after each baby as well as if possible.

now I'm a bcup and am sure will eventually get to C but must admit I'm most comfortable being an A.

I definitely have to invest in some better bra's though. the one I'm wearing doesn't fit.

HtheH · 04/12/2008 18:47

You small boobed ladies are so lucky. I am normally a D cup I am now verging on an F!!! What are they going to be like when the milk comes in?

Jael · 04/12/2008 18:55

That's just it, before I got pregnant with DD i was an A cup, after she was born I was a C cup, and then I'd sum how crept up to a D. I've now gone up one cup size again and I'm a DD. I'm currently wearing a crappy bra from M+S. I got measured there bout 4 weeks ago, and the woman told me off for wearing an under wired bra, and I ended up coming out of M+S in an unflattering T-Shirt bra

frazzledoldbag34 · 04/12/2008 19:48

I had relatively small boobs until I got pg this time (I think they were down to a CC or D cup). Although last time I was pg I ended up a FF. In fact when the woman in John Lewis measured me and told me that I was so gutted I cried in the changing room. (I much prefer smaller boobs!)
It's quite scary to look down when breastfeeding your baby and realise your boobs are way bigger than your babies head.

Am now exploding out of all my bras all over the place. It's not a pretty sight.

Had some more cramping at tea time - started to panic but nothing since. Hope this stops soon

What, norks bigger than your baby's head?

Mine are bigger than DH's head!

agooboo · 04/12/2008 21:31

Well the controlled crying hasn't got off to the best start - DS fell asleep on the sofa whilst we were having a cuddle and story. Have put him in his own bed though so fingers crossed he will stay there all night. (so not going to happen) will try tomorrow night - must sort it.

frazzled laughing at the 'boobs are bigger than your babies head' comment.

I was a B before this pregnancy and am now starting to over fill a C cup. I need to get a bigger size - not just cup size but round my back too, can feel the pregnancy back fat starting to form. lol. DH loving the bigger boobs!

Not been in the mood for sex lately can take it or leave it - I am sure my sex drive had returned by this point with other pgs.

agooboo · 04/12/2008 21:32

llaregub - just made me snort at norks being bigger than DH's head! My DH would love that!
(although I fear mine may be headed that way).
Off to bed now - night ladies

cece · 04/12/2008 22:19

I also have larger norks.

I read once that if you can hold a pencil under your breasts then they were officially droopy... I can hold the TV remote control, so what does that mean?

About potty training. I left my DCs till they were nearly three before I even tried, with about 4/6 weeks of talking about 'when you are older/a big girl(boy) you will use the toilet/potty'.

I found they both did it practically overnight and it was all very easy and stress free as they were more than ready. That little extra bit of maturity really helps iyswim.

DD was then dry at night about 2 months later - I waited for her to ask me to stop nappies, with lots of similar talk about when you are older you won't wear nappies etc. DS on the other hand continued to wear nappies at night till he was just over 4 and half. Again I waited for him to ask if he could stop wearing them.

flippineck · 04/12/2008 22:33

lol cece - I've been able to hold the whole pencil case since I was 13, there's no hope for me is there?!

I think I've put on about 6 pounds so far (18 weeks tomorrow). Most of it seems to be round my middle and on my boobs, and a lot of the time I'm still looking like I've eaten too much, not that I'm pregnant. Although I did try to stick it out a bit on the tube yesterday to get a seat, and I could see a woman looking and thinking, but after quite a while she went back to her newspaper and I had to stand for the rest of the journey.
