FiKelly · 26/11/2008 23:02

one last word on seat options.... then def off to bed

there's this attachment called a twoo

and also a low level seat called the tug it might be more suited to younger DC's

detsy · 26/11/2008 23:53

fi thanks had a look and bookmarked these but then got sidetracked into rear facing double buggies - my that is a different world!! Have bookmarked some good ones if anyone is interested!

Have to go to bed x

frazzledoldbag34 · 27/11/2008 01:24

ooh the twoo looks good fi - might have to think seriously about one of those.
Have been working in bed on my laptop (very bad). DH not back yet, am exhausted but finally done enough work now .
Am going to sleep NOW!
Night ladies, sleep well.

Momino · 27/11/2008 09:06

good morning all. my, you lot had a good chat last night! i was out at a big scary meeting which became less scary when they brought out mince pies. got home quite late and straight to bed. girls at nursery today, I'm at work but contemplating a nap before starting [yawn].

nothing interesting to say except I just had a peanut butter sandwich with blueberry jam. have decided not to abstain from peanuts since it didn't seem to prevent dd1s eczema and no one really knows the effect of peanuts during preg anyway.

oh, and happy thanksgiving today!

frazzledoldbag34 · 27/11/2008 09:50

Happy Thanksgiving Momino

Am absolutely, totally knackered this morning. About to do a bit more work on my report for lunch meeting but eyes keep trying to close.
Almost crashed the car twice on the school run - I almost feel drunk am so exhausted - not good. DH in bed with a 'bad cold' = hangover (IMHO) and absolutly no use nor ornament this morn.
Anyway have to go and get a cup of tea and some toast to keep me alive!
Have a good day all
x

Jael · 27/11/2008 09:57

Morning ladies. Went to Bingo last night with my mom while DB babysat DD. "Fred" was wriggling the whole way through, made me feel really queasy lol either he loved bingo, or hated it lol Decided to stop for Indian takeaway on the way home, and as we haven't lived here very long were still trying to find a good one, we tried somewhere different and it was awful;l! Didn't taste anything like a Dhansak at all! I was so disappointed and hungry, I fell out with DP, he marched back to complain, I was v. emotional, weve made up now tho lol I'm craving prawn dhansak like mad tho, anyone cook Indian food? And could give me a recipe for a really yummy one?

Jael X

Momino · 27/11/2008 10:54

Jael, can't believe how active 'Fred' is. still haven't felt anything in my bump and am 18wk tomorrow. still waiting.

dhansak sounds good now, though I'm afraid I don't have a recipe. haven't been able to stomach prawns since pregnant however.

detsy · 27/11/2008 13:04

Can't do fish or shellfish at best of times and most def not when preggers

FiKelly · 27/11/2008 13:22

Hi all I def should have gone to bed earlier... DS woke up at 00.40 am after a bad dream and it took him a while to settle enough to go back to bed. Think I was eventually tucked back up in bed at about 2am DS did sleep a wee bit later this morning... up at 8.30am & played quite happily in his cotbed until I was able to drag myself out of bed a little while later.

Got so much to do today still... loads of errands to run. Just summoning up enough energy to walk into town and get started. Have to go or there'll be nothing for tea. I have an urge for spag bol of all things... and I've been completely of pasta for weeks now!

Happy Thanksgiving

pulapula · 27/11/2008 13:57

Don't know what others think, but i've reproduced the list with everyones weeks on too, as it might help to understand how far gone other people are. For example, Jael has been having lots of movements, but then she is 17+ weeks so this is considered normal but for those further down (like me) we aren't always at that stage yet. We used to keep a list like this on my previous antenatal group (due July 07) and its nice to see the weeks tick by, although there was one kind soul who sent a weekly update (I don't mind volunteering). Hope there aren't any mistakes- i exported to excel and played around to hope i didn't lose anyone!

thanks for this pulapula, that's great.

have just finished an entire Pizza Express sloppy giuseppe pizza. feel so piggish. but then it is Thanksgiving which is a holiday based on stuffing one's face so quite appropriate, i think.

Jael · 27/11/2008 14:26

It wasn't so much for the prawns, it's just the Dhansak sauce itself..yum. It's my birthday in 2 weeks so DP is going to take me to my fave Indian restaurant, haven't been there in almost 2years, as we've been tightening the purse strings and it's abit pricey, so I'm really looking forward to that, they make the best dhansak ever, I'm going to be really cheeky and see if they'll give me the recipe, its worth a shot lol

Yep baby is definitely v.active. DD wasn't like this at all at 17weeks, was getting tiny little butterfly like fluttering. But last night and this morning have definitely felt "him" like somersault. It feels sooo strange, had forgotten what it felt like.

frazzledoldbag34 · 27/11/2008 19:54

Hullo tumbleweed city
Am really going to try and have an early night tonight. My bean has been wriggling today which has been nice (although may be down to the amount of caffeine I've got through! - oops).
Yawn Yawn, off to do chores now. Hope everyone is well.
Have just remembered I'm meant to have my amnio this time next week - and still not sure if I'm going through with it or not.......there is no space left in my head to worry about it tonight though (in denial still). Oh dear.

flippineck · 27/11/2008 20:14

Evening all!

Detsy - I'd be interested in your rear facing buggy links if possible. Not convinced that we'll get a double, but I'd like to look. Thanks!

I had my 16 week appointment today (16+6). Everything fine and I heard heartbeat - it's so exciting! No idea what speed it was though.

I've sent DH to Sainsburys tonight with a list that included mince pies, I really fancy a couple with a cup of tea right now.

pulapula · 27/11/2008 20:22

Evening all,

I am feeling like a weight has been lifted- we are getting a cleaner. She's really nice and comes recommended by a friend and she starts next Weds! It will be nice to come home from work to a clean house... ah... can't wait.

flippineck · 27/11/2008 20:24

Ooh pulapula I am so jealous! Enjoy.

Momino · 27/11/2008 20:48

speaking of cleaners, I've just finished scrubbing the oven, it was so disgusting. I hate kitchens with the crumbs, grease, food, slop, etc. it's so tough to keep on top of the cleaning. I've just spent an hour cleaning the kitchen and now have to sit and stuff envelopes for my job. hurrah.

dh is away for work and I really appreciate him when he's away because I realise how much he does. Usually he makes tea, cleans up the kitchen, walks the dog, etc in the evening so i can either do my work or put my feet up. he's a good dh. sigh.

time to stuff envelopes and keep an eye on ebay items i'm bidding on.

agooboo · 27/11/2008 21:06

Evening all,
20 week scan came through today - 8th Jan so will be 20 weeks plus few days.

Have felt it wriggling around properly ast night and today - think I have before but was for certain last night it made me stop conversation with DH for a sec or two.

Jael · 27/11/2008 21:20

Is it just me, or are any of you ladies getting the "perks" of pregnancy yet. For the past week my hair has been gleaming! I managed to go 2 or 3 days without washing it, which I can never do! At the beginning of my pregnancy I broke out in loads of spots and my hair got greasy soo quickly, but it's all cleared up now

Momino · 27/11/2008 21:44

me too! hair was really dull at the beginning but now very shiny and full. cheeks a bit rosy as well.

EmmalinaC · 27/11/2008 21:48

Hello All
Not been on for a few days and you're already TEN PAGES into the new thread!! Great to catch up with all your news though.

Good news from me is that I eventually got to see the midwife about my spotting at the weekend, heard the baby's heartbeat and everything is fine. So I can stop panicking (for a bit).

I've started getting some of the 'perks' - my nails are lovely and long!

pulapula good effort on the new list. That must've taken you hours!

Momino · 27/11/2008 21:52

Emmalina, great news about the heartbeat and happy your mind is at ease.

i'm usually panicking as well. i'm still worried why i haven't felt movement at 18 weeks (tomorrow). but let's see when i settle down for bed tonight. Jael said 'Fred' usually perks up when she lays down.
