Hi Ladies, wondered if I could join this thread? Been TTC for ages now, had 3 mcs from Dec 06 to Dec 07. I had investigations for recurrent mcs and it would appear that the drugs which were supposed to help me keep a bean were disrupting my cycle. I stopped taking the drugs, had a very weird cycle of bleeding for 3 weeks and then got BFP the following month. Now I am taking the drugs again and worrying whether they will do their thing. Had a very slight pink discharge yesterday and this morning, although now it looks more yellow/brown. Got an appointment with consultant on Saturday and visit to EPU on 15th. EDD 4th August if everything goes ok, according to online calculator. This whole thing is too stressful.

My edd is either 6th Aug (calculated on 28day cycle) or 12th calc on 34 day cycle (which was my last cycle). Not really sure which will be accurate as it was first cycle post mc. So 6-12 Aug!

2HCB our dc's are virtually exact same ages!

Nuttygirl - me too, I go to bed totally exhausted, either can't sleep or drop off for an hour or two during which I have terrifying dreams then wake up and can't sleep. It's a very unfair combination!

Welcome moosecat and congratulations. So sorry to read about your mc's, what a stressful time you've had. The early weeks are excruitiating and I'm actually in a way glad I have this rotten chest infection as its keeping my mind off things!! Drastic action I know.

Phoned for my booking in appointment to be told that the midwives now phone you when a slot is available. I can so see my details gettng lost under a pile of tinsel over the next few weeks BUT it's one less date to be in my diary in a tempting fate way...

Zorra - my lower back is sore too but me thinks its from my hacking cough! My appetite has dissappeared and have started feeling quesy in the evening.

Welcome moosecat so sorry to hear about your mc's I hope this is the sticky one.

I'm not sleeping well either - I get to bed ok but I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep.

I spoke to the mid-wife yesterday and she's revised my due date by a day so I've updated the list...

Ilovebeingamummy - yes they are very similar! DS1 is 27 May 05 and DS2 12 April 07. How about yours?

Had to rush out of work this afternoon to get DS1 to his docs appointment. He gets this odd lump occasionally in his groin which doesn't seem to bother him and it's taken me ages to get round to taking him to the docs. Anyway seems he has a hernia, poor soul. We have been given an appointment with the paed. surgeon and we'll see what happens from there. I tried to do my booking in stuff at the same appointment but there wasn't time and I have to go back on Monday.

No real pg symptons here other than mild nausea all day long. Now Dh knows "we" are pg and has got his head round it I'm sleeping better!

Hi everyone again, wow there are lots of us on here. It will take a while to get to know who's who! I went out at lunchtime and did another test in the shopping centre loos before rushing back to work, just because still didn't believe it was true and now I've taken a deep breath and worked out edd now which is 4 Aug. DH seems calmer tonight so that's good. I tossed and turned all night last night in a panic. Still haven't quite worked out where dc3 would fit in in our tiny bedrooms but heh, at least life isn't going to be boring!

Hotcrossbunnies - hi, sounds like we have some things in common. At the bottom of my heart I always wanted a no. 3 but dh wasn't keen at all. We got a bit lazy with our contraception - I dunno, since we had probs conceiving ds1, always assumed we weren't that fertile!

Moosecat, glad to hear your news. Will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Just for the record, my ds is 4 and a half and my dd is 2.1

Symptoms, well lost appetite for chocolate which is v odd for me, dragging sensation in my tummy, raging thirst and that distinctive taste in the mouth... not looking forward to the sickness. For me that normally starts around week 6 or 7

thanks taleoftwocities. Have been having acupuncture to try and make this one stick! So tired today yawn at least slight pink smudge has stopped at the moment.

hello all,great to join you,edd 12th aug,this will be our 4th,have 2ds & 1dd.at the moment am just trying to work out how am going to get through xmas with out anyone guessing (normally get through quite a few bottles of rose!! ).Dont really want to tell anyone till had 12 week scan as dont want to get kids hopes up incase something happens.

I'm having funny little twinges in my lower abdomen - in a line at about the point where hipster jeans would fit. It doesn't feel like cramps, more like someone is running their finger along the muscle from the inside. Anyone else get this? Is it anything to be concerned about? (Can you tell this is my first?)

CAn I join you? EDD is 11 Aug! I have two other DD 3 and almost 2!!! Yes I get twinges and even period type pains ( only mild ones)

DD1 3.6 and DD2 23months ( she will be 2 on the 27th Dec!)

Taleoftwocities-glad to hear the shock is wearing off. can't imagine having a suprise i have had 6 very planned/over planned pregnancies.

moosecat1- WELCOME you have had a hard time, and your right it is sooo stressful. I have had 4 m/c's and i am worse than ever worrying about this one. sticky vibes to us all, will you get an early scan?

I had my first dr's appoint today, scan booked for 17th december yayyy!!! still a little wait though, he said they have a new high tech scan machine, so that will be good.

also had blood test, and he will ring me if the hcg doesn't look right, Doesn't sound like I am the only one bat I sway wildly each day between feeling pg and not feeling pg at all, it really sucks, i just want to know baby is growing

thanks UKi. Got an appointment with a consultant tomo and I think he'll scan and do blood tests to see if the tablets are doing their thing. Then got an early scan with EPU on 15th. Was there ever a cause found for your mcs?
Babybump28 - I get that too, the kind of funny feeling around hipsterline.

moosecat- that sounds good, lots of checks and an early scan. I have only recently found the cause of my mc's. i have a genetic chromosnonal traslocation. meaning, all the chromosones there, but 2 cross over and may or may not balance back out. found out through a karotype test.
I actually had IVF/PGD with this pg, lucky too, as 6 out of 8 embroys abnormal. I have to admit i feel very lucky that medicine/science is so advanced these days. wouldn't have gone for another baby without it.

Please can I join you? My EDD is 29th July however the July thread is so advanced they are talking maternity clothes already I feel too far behind them to join in. Plus I was over 2 weeks late with my DD!

I am just getting the hipster twinges and over-active smelling power at the moment which means I nearly gag when nappy changing my DD, luckily she's usually a once a day kinda gal.

I have one DD who is 6 and a half months old yes there's not much of a gap but I am getting on in years, 36 to be exact so have no time to lose. I have a stepson DSS? who is 14 and doesn't know about the new baby yet, not sure when to tell him or how he'll react yet he should be okay but I'm thinking of waiting until after Xmas? What do you think?

That's great news about your early scan MarxAndSparks. I agree it's difficult to relax, I think most of us would admit that the first trimester is pretty nail-biting stuff. My time I googled/read anything on pregnancy obsessively, this time I'm going to try and take it easy. I'm sure it must be worse for you though, hopefully chatting on mn can ease your worries. Marx&Sparks, I know how you feel, (MMC in Sep). I am not sure my GP will be as sympathetic, this is my 5th pregnancy but only two children so hopefully I can argue I am a reasonable candidate for an early scan. I know it's no guarantee but as you know waiting until 12 wks to find out there has been a problem is no fun!

No symptoms here either yet!

Hi all, welcome pussface and heinzsight -our list is expanding nicely!

Starting to feel a bit nauseous today, not really hungry and not really knowing what to eat either which is a pity as DH and me normally have big pig out on a Friday night!

pussface - hard to compare as our DS is only 2.5 and your DSS is 14 but we're not telling DS until after 20 week scan! I've been tentatively asking is he would like a brother or sister next year but he is adament that he wants the status quo to remain and why shouldn't he - he is the king of all he surveys .
