hi heinzsight dont think i know you but your name does seem familar too.

I have had a nightmare registering with midwife. Glad its sorted now but not getting booked till 27th jan. Anyone got anything thats help with the sickness got it all day everyday?

So sorry to hear from those who are suffering, my thoughts are with you and I hope you are surrounded by loving RL people.

Re nuchal scan - I was told 13+4 was cutting it too fine so I have had to scrabble around for childcare to make my original 3pm apptmt for this Tuesday. Don't really think it is twins but will be breathing a sigh of relief to know for sure it isn't!

I get that elastic band pinging thing too - glad to know its normal! On the positive side, spent yesterday afternoon in the garage trying to locate my maternity trousers (kept getting distracted by bags of cute 0-3 months stuff) and they were, of course, in the very last bag. But ohhhhhhh, the relief of putting on a pair of maternity trousers after putting up with too-tight waistbands. And this morning I even managed a bike ride. Hats off to the second trimester!!

Afternoon ladies. I've been reading the thread but haven't really had anything to post! Pg all seems to be progressing ok, unless I am in blissful ignorance...

I've had other things to worry about quite frankly - DS1 has an inguinal hernia and is having the operation to repair it tomorrow morning and on Friday DH appeared at home at 10.30a.m with the contents of his desk in a carrier bag - been made redundant! So other more pressing worries here unfortunately.

Exercise wise - I have been having training sessions a couple of times a week with a trainer on the Common which I am sort of keeping up with. The trainer says its good to do stuff when you are pg to keep fit and heathy but until the 2nd trimester the "effort" level should be around 5 or 6 out of 10 - i.e. no over doing it! No fear of that!!

Sorry to hear other people's sad news and i hope things go well for those with up coming scans. I'll keep up wih the thread as best I can but unlikely to post again this week.

Hello all. I am finally seeing the end of the tunnel wrt the sickness, and I honestly think it's been the acupuncture. I've had 2 treatments and had felt better after each one. I was such a cynic I really didn't think it would work.

So anyone else still suffering, give it a go!

So sad to hear about the ladies who have suffered losses,been there myself and life is just so shit sometimes. Hope you are being looked after,allow yourself plenty of time to grieve.

Things seem to be going OK for me at the minute, MS has subsided and i feel a lot better,still can sleep for England though.
Been having those pains that a few ladies have mentioned-like an elastic band being twanged, especially when i sneeze-ouch!

I have my nuchal scan on Wednesday and i am both looking forward to it and quite nervous about it, still havent got a date through for my 12 week scan yet, even though im 12 weeks today.

Hope everyone okay and the ladies who are still suffering MS feel better soon.

I know what u mean about the repeating omega 3!! Better than the alternative though.

Can't believe our edd's are only 4 days apart! Although I am expecting to have mine late as the last 2 were, at least that way if bubba turns up on time it will be a nice surprise.

Hi I am apparently due on August 27th so impeccable timing re: school year there!

I also have 14 month old in tow, and accidentally got pg about 2 weeks after the post-caesarean conception ban lifted, so a bit nervous about scars.

I'm feeling mildly less sick than last time and amazingly less of a belly than I had before at this point.

I can't really take in being pregnant as I am still up and down in the night breastfeeding and am wondering if DD is going to let me get any sleep at all before bladders/newborns take over again.......

Hi Lenin, thanks for your well wishes re nuchal on Wednesday,wish it was over and done with. Good luck for yours on Thursday. My nuchal scan isnt at the same hospital as the 12 week scan as ive had to pay privately for it. I rang my midwife and explained my appt hadnt yet come through for my scan and she said it will turn up in the next 4 weeks,so may have it 15-16 weeks!! Good job i,ll get to see LO this Wednesday,im praying everything is OK.

Hi everyone,

Sorry I have been absent for awhile, but just been too scared to feel hopeful after my mmc last time.

BUT..... I had my scan today, and all is well. Just seeing the baby there made me feel so happy, and then seeing the heartbeat... well I think my heart stopped beating for a moment there!

Legs were going all over the place, and not too happy about being poked by the scanning probe (or whatever its called).

I'm 12 +1, (due date still the same, as only 1 day's difference so they won't bother changing it). I could swear that I felt flutters twice last week, and given how much the legs were kicking around I'm now positive that I did.

The sickness has still been horrid, was sick until 4 1/2 months with DS1 so not holding out much hope that it will get better soon. At least this time I don't feel like I can't hold myself upright.

What?! You poor thing - I saw my midwife at 8 weeks. Apart from blood tests she didn't do anything, though.

Well I could have booked it earlier but I was panicking about jinxing it. I had a scan at 7 weeks and saw a heartbeat so I'm ok.
