Amelied, sending you a huge hug, life sometimes can be so cruel. Keep hope, there's a heartbeat, there's a will to live.

I have my early scan tomorrow 8+4, I'm very nervous. Last time I went and fetus was really low, I mc 2 days after. I've been hugging and talking to my bump all day telling it to hang in there and keep going.

I also have a toddler, yes, there's been a bit more tv but I've been trying to get out as much as possible.

nuttygirl · 13/01/2009 20:34

Fingers crossed for you amelied

TaleofTwoCities · 13/01/2009 21:17

Amelied - sorry to hear things are uncertain. Will keep fingers crossed for you.

LittleFairySmile - that's great news, congrats on the scan. Mine is next Thurs, can't get to it soon enough...

I thought my ms was clearing but this morning threw up my cornflakes. Urgh, horrible and had to get to work so ate some toast and out the door. Also got another cold so am doubly sorry for myself. But the pending scan is my main focus!!

hi loganberry!!

HeinzSight · 13/01/2009 21:50

Oh Amelied, I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling , I'm so sorry for you. Keep strong and look after yourself, we're all keeping everything crossed for your next scan.

funnysinthegarden · 13/01/2009 22:46

Hello everyone. Sorry I've not been on much, but very worried about this pregnancy after having a MMC at 11 weeks before my DS was born. Anyway, had some bleeding in the last 2 days and cramps, so went to the EPU and after a scan they found that my baby had died at 7.2 weeks. AGAIN. So am going back in the morning for the usual op to empty my whom of 'retained products of conception'. Feeling very numb at the moment, and perhaps someone could remove my name from the list. Thanks and Bye

funnysinthegarden · 13/01/2009 22:59

Sorry, obv womb and not whom. As I said very numb at the mo. Also I was supposed to be 11.2 weeks. Good Luck to all the rest of you for your lovely summer babies

Sushipaws · 13/01/2009 23:04

I am so so sorry, look after yourself.

nuttygirl · 14/01/2009 00:02

HeinzSight · 14/01/2009 09:27

SO sorry to hear that funnysinthegarden , thinking of you. Look after you

Rachel1963 · 14/01/2009 10:04

Hello can I join in. I'm 11 + 2 with my second baby - bit of a miracle because as well as DH working away most of the time, I'm 45 (soon to be 46) and have had 4 mcs so had pretty much given up hope of having another. But I've been having fortnightly scans and they've all been fine, baby is growing as s/he should and yesterday I got a wave from him/her! Dr also had a quick look at the nuchal translucency (although I've got the proper NT scan next week) and she said it looked fine so I'm finally allowing myself to feel positive about this one and have added myself to the list.

funnys - so sorry to hear your news, I know how you feel and it's a desperately raw time

amelie - hope you get some positive news soon

Hi Rachel - I'm 43 and expecting #4. We've had 4 losses over the last 2 yrs as well, and are feeling cautiously optimistic at this point at 10w1d. We have a home doppler and have been hearing a strong heartbeat for the last week. We've got a scan in 2 wks, and I think we'll feel much better once we get past that okay. Nice to see a couple of us in their 40's! I don't feel quite so old now!

olivo · 14/01/2009 15:37

Funnys, so sorry to hear this. take care of yourself.

BabyBump2B · 14/01/2009 16:48

Hi Rachel - welcome!

Funnys & Amelied thinking of you...

SpecialOffer · 14/01/2009 18:43

Funnys - so sorry for your loss, take good care of yourself!

Amelied - thinking of you, good luck!

I am now 11+5, and my scan is next Tuesday. Can't bring myself to get excited until I see the little one on the screen. Tuesday cannot come soon enough. I can not fit into any of my clothes so am having to wear maternity clothes, which is sooo strange.

I did not get a doppler on ds, but think I might get one to convince myself this pregnancy is real? Anyone recommend one?

amelied · 14/01/2009 19:09

Thank you - I appreciate you all holding my hand.

Im going to go back to work today as sitting at home is making me miserable. I think once I have got to work, dealt with the pitying looks and just get stuck in then hopefully Tuesday will happen that much quicker.

Well I still have a sore, tender chest and have a couple more small symptoms that I have with pregnancy but I know my body is tricking me and hard to trust anything now. My DH and myself have resigned to the fact that it is not going to happen and that I may have to face a D&C next week.

Funnysinthegarden - I am so sorry, I have been there twice and looking at a third now, unless some huge miracle happens. I hope the D&C went ok today and that you are being looked after well.

Anyway, I just wanted to call in and say hello and thank you all for your good wishes - thay have helped tremendously.

monkeyfeathers · 14/01/2009 19:50

Hi everyone.

I'm expecting my second baby on (about) 5th August. My son is 8, so it's a bit of an age gap. We've got our dating scan coming up on Tuesday, so that's exciting. I need to phone the midwives and arrange a booking appointment too - we missed them when they called during the christmas holidays as we were away visiting family, and i keep forgetting to phone them back. As far as I remember from the first time, the booking appointment wasn't the most exciting thing ever, which is probably why I don't remember.

olivo · 14/01/2009 19:52

amelied, take care of yourself.

I went to see the gp today - she knew what was coming!! had my bloods taken and that's about it. have to go back next week and then i guess i'm passed over to the hospital.
feeling so sick at the moment, really struggling at work but trying to look at it as a positive sign . not even 8 weeks yet!

nandos · 14/01/2009 20:04

funnysinthegarden im so sorry for your loss (huggsss) pls take care of yourself and hope you get better soon ..

amelied i hope you get your answer soon. when is your next scan hunnie? i really hope its good news for you. i also hope you be strong in this coming days cos' i know its very worrying not know whats going on.
i myself have gone through like you did (2 mcs) and i am v scared n worried abt this 3rd one but i try to take it one day at a time..
thinking of you and your dh..

special offer i got an 'Angel sounds' doppler and it worked fine. its all the same like other doppler which means some days if baby is wriggling/moving all over the place, you might be worried cos' sometimes it can be difficult to find one. also one tip, i found out using water also works as well as gel, so u can sprinkle some water if you are out of gel or if you dont want to feel sticky afterwards

btw i had my 2nd scan yesterday which they did blood test and NT scan as well. baby is moving and kept sticking out his tongue?! its a bit amusing but relieved at the same time.. they also date me at 11+5 yesterday so im a day ahead than my original dd. also crl is 52mm and this wee thing is a thumb-size beanie now
hope rest of you waiting for the scan date get your scan soon

OonaghBhuna · 14/01/2009 20:50

Funnysinthegarden- I am so sorry to hear of your sad loss, thinking of you.

amelied-My fingers are crossed for you.

HeinzSight · 15/01/2009 12:35

Good luck oonaghBhuna today x

mamamila · 15/01/2009 13:39

hi all,
funnys- i'm so sorry, i hope everyone around you is taking care of you.

i'm still eughhhhh, feeling sick all day and night pretty much, it almost stopped monday night and tuesday morning, then came back with a vengance. i had my midwife booking in appt yesterday, i've been put under shared care (whatever that means) because of problems last pregnancy, very happy she supported my wish to have c section.
we have yet to decide whether to book our own nuchal fold scan and blood tests, i was pretty shocked at the increased risk of downs based on age. i find it hard to believe those are accurate statistics.

woke up with incredible craving for apple juice (from concentrate) and R Whites lemonade, bit miffed dp returned with Sprite..also eating salad leaves from the bag constantly..
