You can be whatever you want Gruff. Take your pick.

I have just started sitting on the sofa after being on my ball and it is so uncomfy so I think I might have to just sit on my ball from now on.

GruffaloSoldier · 25/11/2008 21:10

In that case I'll be an Angel! Although Im far from angelic!

I think sitting on ball instead of sofa sounds like a plan. I might go and get mine and join in! I had some serious pains yesterday in hips, bum and tops of leges and had to hobble round the garden centre. Completely fine today though!

I cant believe you are 38 weeks! How exciting!

kayzisexpecting · 25/11/2008 21:15

I know, I can't believe how quick the last 38 weeks have been. But these last couple will drag.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 25/11/2008 21:16

Hey Gruff!

Kay - MW said to me today that last few weeks are slower than the first few. (Sorry - that probably doesn't help you...)

GruffaloSoldier · 25/11/2008 21:19

They probably will but you'll get there eventually Being this close to xmas you never know - if you keep busy, night not seem like that long. I think run up to xmas goes scarily fast!

Im getting impatient now and Im only 20 weeks on Thurs! Im really impatient for my scan on Tues!Grr!

At least you havent got another 20 weeks to wait - eek!

GruffaloSoldier · 25/11/2008 21:19

Hi Ses,

Hows it going?

kayzisexpecting · 25/11/2008 21:20

It is very true Ses, I think the 2 scans help. You spend the first weeks after BFP waiting for the 12 week scan, then you wait a few weeks for the 20 week one and then after that you have 20 weeks to wait until D-Day.

GruffaloSoldier · 25/11/2008 21:22

Ahh shucks I didnt think of that. Although apparently I can get a scan at 35/36 weeks.

kayzisexpecting · 25/11/2008 21:25

I really wanted a 4D scan but DH thinks they are scary so we didn't bother.

GruffaloSoldier · 25/11/2008 21:30

I get another nhs one apparently as if baby is too large they wont let me go over due, due to my sisters past history with her births. so the mw said, whether she will follow through with this is another matter.

kayzisexpecting · 25/11/2008 21:31

Has your sister had big babies then?

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 25/11/2008 21:35

Sorry - nipped off to look at my chicken and veg soup I'm concocting!

All good with me thanks Gruff! MW found hb first time today so that helped, normally only nauseous when brushing my teeth and a few odd moments and not as tired as I was! All

GruffaloSoldier · 25/11/2008 21:38

yes, 9lb 14 and 10 lb! shes 5ft 3 and tiny! latter didnt fit through pelvis, couldn't even engage. eeek! (emerg. c/s) was all pretty terrible for her.

Im slightly shorter, a bit more meat on me, but still small frame so am a bit worried but going to think positive! I have already been told I wont be having a small baby due to my and DHs weights at birth. Im not sure how accurate this is though.

GruffaloSoldier · 25/11/2008 21:40

Soz Ses, x posts. Thats great! I loved hearing the heartbeat, DH did too! Heard it last week aswell when I went in re the pains I was having. Its so lovely

Im so excited about 20 week scan I cant contain myself! Its all I can think about!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 25/11/2008 21:40

That's interesting Gruff about the link between your own birth weight and the baby's. I hope not as I was over 9lb....
Sounds like your sister has had a rough ride of it so hope you don't have similar problems.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 25/11/2008 21:42

Are you definitely not finding out the sex of the baby?
We're undecided although I think at the moment I'm edging towards not finding out.

kayzisexpecting · 25/11/2008 21:42

Gosh they are big babies. It does tend to run in the family. I was 7lb 4 and my brother was 9lb 2. I am hoping not to get a 9lb baby.

I am going to bed now. I am bloody exhausted and need some sleep.

Night all.

GruffaloSoldier · 25/11/2008 21:44

me too! I was 7 lb 11 or something but DH was 9lb! lets hope its a load of rubbish

I really could just go to bed but trouble is I would then be awake at 5am or something rediculous. My body doesnt 'get' early nights!

GruffaloSoldier · 25/11/2008 21:45

Night Kay! Yes get your rest while you can!Hope you have a good nights sleep! 'see' you tomorrow!

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 06:49

Morning(apparently),

It's allkicking off in the Due Dec thread. We had 3 babies born in the last 24 hours. They were all planned CS but it's still so exciting!!!

I slept all night again, I actually feel human this morning. Still have awful backache but I'm going to spend most of the day sat on my ball.

Hope you are all feeling well this morning.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 26/11/2008 07:13

Morning Kay! Yay for Dec thread and 3 more babies! It'll be your turn soon!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 26/11/2008 07:21

Morning

Heebs, I am so sorry sweetie, I wish there was something I could actually do. I hope they get the tests underway ASAP. Do you know what the next step is? If there is still growth have they offered you another scan? Or any reason as to why there is no HB? I really wish we could magic up the answers for you, you must be heartbroken

BB, sound's like a PITA, but at least they are doing something with these tests, fingers crossed it is as simple as a hormone imbalance/bad luck. Keep us up to date won't you?

Re. babies weights, I'm not entirely sure it is all down to how big the parents were born at, I'm not sure how much I weighed at birth (mum has told me, but can't remember!) but DH was only 4lb at term, so pretty tiny, DS1 was 7lb 15, DS2 8lb 10 and this one is on track to be well over 10lb according to the growth scan and the personal growth chart thingumy (though will believe that when I see it, I am expecting maybe just hitting 9lb depending on when he is born, but the baby deffo feels smaller to me than DS2 did, and I haven't got anywhere near stretching my stretch marks out yet! Which is good good good!)

Have woken up the size of a house again, my eyes are so swollen I can barely open them, but compared to everything else that's gone on since the weekend, I can handle a bit of swelling! What I can't handle is that the dryer has finally conked out, it's been on it's last legs for a while but the bloody drum thing won't turn and it buzzed at me when I switched it on Just at the time when I am quite behind with the washing (and house work in general!) due to what's gone on... Never rains but it pours hey? Except it's not today, it's really foggy, I mean can't see the end of the drive type foggy!

OK, think that's my day's moan cards all out on the table, will put happy face on and ignore swelling/broken dryer/fog/washing piles/housework/anything else I moaned about!

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 07:31

Morning Nat, Sorry about the swelling and your dryer. They always tend to break at the worst times.

My wedding ring is stuck!!! It won't come off at all. I was meant to try it a few weeks ago because I needed it re-sizing after I had DS. I'm going to cry, I don't want it cut off and I don't want my finger to fall off either.
(uses moan cards)

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 26/11/2008 07:32

Actually before I put the moan card deck away, I have heartburn as well, am sure it's the AB's, been getting worse and worse over the last couple of days, it's not the baby he is still quite low.

Oh and, just had a quick look at Currys at the dryers, they have a great offer on a Hotpoint one for £159, and if you enter the reduction code at the checkout it gives you a VAT discount, brilliant I thought, entered code, it would save us about £3.50 LOL Really worth while! Can see that sort of saving pulling in the shoppers for christmas!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 26/11/2008 07:35

Kays, with the swelling I had with DS2, I took my rings off at the first sign of swelling this time, it bloody hurt last time, and I've never been able to keep my engagement ring on since, it makes my finger come out in a spoty rash type thing... anyway.... lots of cold (icey) water with fairy liquid should shift it, and if it won't, then it is the choppers, for either your rings, or the finger Don't use warm water, will make it swell more.
