Morning!! NAT, you are totoally entitled to moan (meant to say I signed for a new consignment of moan cards for the wagon yesterday, so we have a full supply now). Seriously though, I don't blame you for secretly hoping bp is up - I think I would have camped out in the labour ward by now!
KAY, that's crap news about possible threat to dh's work . Will he know for sure this week? I suppose it's one of those things that you really have no control over, but doesn't stop you worrying obviously.
Agree with SORKY and others about food in pregnancy. I don't eat the smelly cheese, pate etc just because I don't like the stuff anyway, but peanut butter is a fave, and also like smoked salmon etc. If you look in detaiul at the small print, most of the things that you would get (eg. listeria) would make you very poorly, but not effect baby anyway (think toxo is the only 'dangerous' one?).
10 weeks now! It's odd (but good) us all being different stages as I keep on getting anxious about sleepsuits and packing my hossy bag then remember I've not even had my dating scan yet! (Dec 9th, eek!!).
Right, am going to attempt to get dress today (only becuase I'm expecting IO parcel )

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 24/11/2008 08:33

morning

as far as eating when pregnant i have been eating tons of chocolate and drinking loads of ribena.
have avoided alcohol - dont drink anyway and blue cheese plus runny egg and pate

hi diege crossed posts parcel sounds exciting
hope news with dhs job isnt too bad kay

largeginandtonic · 24/11/2008 08:35

Kay fingers crossed for your dh. How awful to have that preaying on your mind atm too.

Sorky i am having a French pregnancy, that is eat what the hell you like. My very good friend lives in France and she munches on Pate sandwiches and cheese washed down with vino rouge. I am too

NJ how big do they think the boy is? I am measuring 4 weeks big for dates, have alwways measured a week maybe 2 too big but 4! I am off to see the consultant on 3rd and i think they are giving me a growth scan too. Not that they tell you much, notoriously wrong in my experience. Big babies do not always do well if they are born early either. I have seen section babies at 38 weeks due to gestational diabetes come out in a very bad way. Do you think they will induce you?

I am NOT having this baby before Xmas! I dont care what the flippin scan tells me Tree away first.

kookykid · 24/11/2008 08:39

Morning ladies,

Well, I'm out of the running.

Have had this strange feeling something wasn't quite right and started bleeding last night. Heavy enough to know that's it.

I am obviously feeling sad, but it is very early and I reckon if I wasn't actively ttc it would've just seemed like a late period, so back to the drawing board for me.

I hope you all continue to have really happy and healthy pregnancies and hopefully I will see you again before too long.

Kooky xx

kayzisexpecting · 24/11/2008 08:42

We don't know when he'll find out, hopefully today.

kayzisexpecting · 24/11/2008 08:44

Kooky, I am so sorry. Have a you deserve one. Look after yourself.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/11/2008 08:44

Thanks everyone

Diege, 10 weeks - WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO exciting about IO order as well Hope you're not waiting long.

LG&T growth scan last Tuesday said he was 5lb 1oz, so I reckon (in all my worldly wise knowledge ) he'll be just about hitting 6lb now. The thought of all of this still going on at xmas fills me with nothing but dread TBH!

Right school run, tell me to sod off if you see me back here before lunch please!

Cosmogirl · 24/11/2008 08:45

Morning all,

NJ- sorry to hear you are feeling so rough again and please please don't worry about moaning - you have every right to! God, I have moaned continuously about feeling sick and nauseous (still am come to think of it). Sometimes I get really cross at myself for it but then I think, no I feel dreadful, so why shouldn't I moan now and again if it vents some frustration?'

While I am on the subject - 22 weeks tomo and STILL feel sick all day every day - ahhhhh! It is the pits!

Right, must drag self to work now. Hope everyone has good days.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/11/2008 08:47

Oh Kooky I am so sorry, get it confirmed before you give up all hope, I had a lot of fresh blood and clots at 7 weeks with this one, and it was OK. I really have to go to school, will be thinking of you, and if there is anything I/we can do, as always just shout. Take it easy xxx

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 24/11/2008 09:06

Morning All

Kooky- sorry to hear about the bleeding.. as many have said bleeding can happen early on and things be ok... Take care of yourself though and rest today if you can..

Kay- sorry about your DH's job... really hope its not bad news for you- such a worrying time.

Diege- 10wks! Hurray. Now that has REALLY gone fast!

Nat- agree with Diege, moan away! Think 3rd trimester should be called Moan Trimester.... (or is that first and second too? )

As for diets in preg, Im glad to hear others are drinking a bit and eating the stuff we are told not too. My view is that if Im happy, baby will be too... , especially re the glasses of redwine.

I'm super excited today as I have a day off to do some xmas shopping Will be my first real chance to look at baby stuff in the shops too (the shops I usually go to arent so go) Might buy some baby gros

Right- better go and get dressed and get going. Hi everyone else

Diege · 24/11/2008 09:22

Oh KOOKY, I'm so sorry . Agree with others that it would be worth checking it out with gp, although having had a chemical pregnancy in the past (not saying that yours is) I know what you mean about the fact that you would have thought it was a late period if you hadn;t tested. Might be worth a trip to GP so that you know where you are?
GYO - that sound a lovely day you have planned there. Enjoy! Oh and moan trimester is def all 3 (and after I should say!! )
Morning COSMO - that's my nworst nightmare, still feeling sick after 14 weeks or so - have been lucky so far! Don't know how you manage at work, I couldn;t!
Thanks for the yoo hoo Nat I am feeling a little more energised today, though stiull nauseous. Was only sick 2/3 times on sat and sun, and feeling better between episodes than previously. I spoke to a lovely woman a week or so ago on a HG help line who described how the sickness would gradually fade, and she sort of described it like it's happening (it's funny how you forget!!).
Right, best get dressed!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 24/11/2008 09:47

Kooky- Sorry to hear your bleeding, but as many others have said bleeding can happen very often, I had lots of bleeding with DS... i had bleeding about 5 times before i got to 16wks and look where i am now with him!! Dont loose all hope yet!!

Kayz- sorry to hear about the position your DH is in, i can understand your worry... fingers crossed all is ok!!

Nat- sorry to hear your not feeling too good!!

god, its a day of people needing comfort on the wagon!!! Not me today!!! My migrane dyed off yesterday, was very very mild yesterday so managed to go to my mums, was quite nice actually, she had got me some maternity PJ's from next, has bought some clothes for beany... we had some good catch-up time.... my younger sister was there most of the time, and once she'd left things felt better between me and my mum... we managed to talk- we've not done that in ages!!!!

My abel and cole order just arrived, so enjoyed putting all my lovely organic oranges into the fridge!!!! And i have my tesco shop coming thsi afternoon....

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 24/11/2008 10:14

after searching online for the past few months i've finally found a buggy board that will attach to my pram!!!! Wuhoo!!!!! Just need to wait for it to be in stock again at boots!!! its currently on offer so its out of stick!! bummer!! good job i still have plenty of time!!

kayzisexpecting · 24/11/2008 10:31

I want to cry!!!!

Been asked 4 times if I've had the baby yet. The last time I felt like saying "Yes can you not see the baby lying in the pram and DS in the double seat on the front. Bump? what bump? Oh that, nah its not a baby I just ate a lot of pies over the weekend!!!!!"

ARGHHHHHHH!!!!

On top of that my pelvis feels like it is about to fall off, my 5 minute walk from town took 20 minutes.

Ooooh and I have what is like EWCM. Any ideas anyone?

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 24/11/2008 10:38

kk - sorry hear if you need to chat
cosmo poor you with sickness still
gyo - good luck shopping
glas ye for food deliverys
poor you kay i hate it when people keep asking and texting etc when you are nearly due not long now

kayzisexpecting · 24/11/2008 10:40

May I just add how very very jealous I am Glask!!!

I want Abel & Cole deliveries but last time I checked we don't get them here!!!

Diege · 24/11/2008 11:02

Great going on buggy board find GLASK! I will have a similar dilemma with the bugaboo bee I think, though am pushing to back of mind.
Poor you KAY Really isn't too long to go now, a matter of days!!! PLus better than being asked 'are you still holding on to that baby' a week after having it , as with me after dd3's birth!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 24/11/2008 11:03

I'm lucky that we get them here... i do want to try ordering from riverford as heard they are pretty good, but they dont deliver here!!

DH's organic beers and ale's arrived today, he doesn't know i've bought them as i'm gonna give them to him for xmas... Had to run the box upstairs, and its hidden amongst the baby things!!! poor baby- i'm already using its stuff to stash alcohol- what a bad mother i am!!

Also got some wild miced venison- never had it before, but it looks SOOOOOOOOOOOO tasty- i'm looking forward to my spag bol with it now!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 24/11/2008 11:06

oh no- just started coming over with a massive feeling of nausea.... and an acidy burning in my chest, think i'm gonna be sick!!!

I thought as i'd felt better yesterday, and not taken my cyclazine that i may be getting over it. Didn't take cyclazine this morning, just took some about 5mins ago when first felt sicky... but think its too late

oh well- at least i feel mentally more positive!!

kayzisexpecting · 24/11/2008 11:10

I might see if they deliver here.

My mum has vertigo, bless her. Not as bad as I did as she hasn't been sick, she is just dizzy. My GP said some people never get over it and say they have it forever.

Glask, I really hope it's not heartburn. Believe me its hell. I think I might even be addicted to Rennie, I need them that much.

Diege · 24/11/2008 11:15

GLASK, what a great idea for dh's present - so,ething he will def. appreciate!
KAY, your poor mum. I've never had it, but have heard how awful it is. Did you say you took stemitiil for it? (or am I making it up?? .
IO dress has just arrived (still not dressed - now don't have to ). Very pleased; great quality and also a sample of molton brown gingerlilly bath gel. Looks quite intimidating to try on - lots of fabric, slots, ties etc, though pleased that mini translates to just above knee at my height!

kayzisexpecting · 24/11/2008 11:21

Yeah I did Diege, I was about 6 months pg with DS when I got it. It was horrible, I couldn't move my head without being sick. I was really worried about DS as I wasn't eating but the MW said that he would just take what he needed despite me being ill.(cheers DS) But within about 30 minutes of having Stemitil I stopped being sick so could keep food down. Miracle stuff!!!

Does a mucus plug have to have blood in it?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/11/2008 11:29

Well I nearly made it till lunch time!

Glask, hope it is just a blip and you're over it soon. Hoorah for the beer though

Kay, no, it doesn't have to have blood in it, but the plug itself ususally does, you can lose parts of it, only way to describe it is like a huge big bit of snot - nice!! That can be bloody as well but not always.

Diege, so are you all dressed up now?

Furntiure not here yet, not sure how I am going to handle it when it does come, they are obviously going to have the door open for ages while they are bringing it all in, but I am fluffing freezing, I seem to be getting worse (except the kidney pain itself) rather than better There I go, moaning again!

kayzisexpecting · 24/11/2008 11:31

I'm just hoping its not the start of anything to do with labour. I don't think I have the energy to give birth today.

Maybe I am OVing, it is exactly like that!!!
