Haha, I am sending DS to the shop with DH so I can have a rest. DS is full of beans this morning and I don't have the energy to chase him around.

I love that dress, I want one but for 3 weeks its not worth it. But I have told DH I am having one if we have another.

I'm watching Trisha[housewife tv smiley] and this woman said she walked around naked in front of her husband and he just watched tv. I woud divorce my DH if he did that!!!

Diege · 21/11/2008 10:36

Yes, get ds to get it - that's what kids are for

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 21/11/2008 10:59

OOh lovely dress Diege! love the IO stuff.. Do you think you can also get wear out of the other dress you had before?

Sorry you are feeling sick have migraine Glask

Thanks for BH info Nat.. really helpful. Will just hope nothing gets worse

Diege · 21/11/2008 11:04

Hi GYO! Good advice there from Nat re: contractions - if anyone should know she should!
Yes, I also have my IO black turtle neck dress that I bought in summer. Will be great for work, and assuming everything progresses well with the pregnancy I should be able to wear from Jan onwards. I will post some piccies when I finally get to wear them!
Oh I am really struggling to write a lecture on political theory Would have been easier to helicopter me in in PJs than have to spell everything out on paper...Not sure this 'working from home' thing was a good idea - still, it is fun hearing all the rumours! Students think I've picked up a nasty bug from dds (they are fascinated that I have children, bless them)

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 21/11/2008 11:09

Good luck with the lecture Diege, cant say im envious

Just been browsing IO (blame the wagon entirely for that!!) and there is a 4th trimester range... very nice!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 11:10

Well..... took painkillers... they were down for 15mins before i threw up again.... however, when i was sick i was sick so hard that i wet myself i ended up sat on the bathroom floor, with soaking pants crying my eyes out!! And i've got to collect DS from nursery in 20mins... i feel like absolute poo and fear i'm gonna be sick on the 40min round trip!! i'm gonna put a sanitary pad in just in case i am sick in a bush... dont wanna arrive with wet pants!!

Diege · 21/11/2008 11:14

Oh Glask Is there absolutely no way that ds could stay in nursery for the afternoon? Or a friend/relative could collect? I can also sympathise on weeing front. Same here when sick and always have a wodge of toilet paper ready to stem the flow! It's a really common side effect of HG apparently, and can lead to pelvic floor problems later on, so let's get clenching . Seriously, really hope you can get through the day xx

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 11:19

The nursery is just a school nursery... and they are only allocated a morning or afternoon place, i dont think there is any way he could stay... My mum is at hospital with my sister, my dad is working, DH is at work too and a good 45min drive away.... i'm just gonna have to cope i think!!

considering buying DC's a butty or sausage roll from the bakers round the corner from nursery for their lunch- will save me making food.... at least that'd be one less thing to worry about...

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 11:21

oh and on the weeing front, it has happened before, but not to the amount like it was today, it has been just dribbles before, this one was like a full sized wee squeezed out... wet my knickers, pants and left a wet patch on the floor too!!! I'm so hormonal, and dont even know why i'm telling you all i've wet myself- i just want to cry!!!

Diege · 21/11/2008 11:24

Hmm, see your point Would def. get ds a butty from shop, no debate!
Might be worth ringing gp again about any alternative pain killer/anti-sickness med combination? You would easily fulfil criteria for hossy admittance here (not to scare you) x

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 11:27

Awwww Glask, you poor thing. Migraines really suck, I don't get them very often but when I do they make me feel awful for a few days.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 11:28

argh!! dont mention hospital!!! DH doesn't have a day off till next friday!!!! And i'm sure they wouldn't appreciate myself and my sister being there at the same time!!

Well i'm going to get DS in a min, i feel like i'm gonna be sick first, so if i can get it out of the way i might last the trip without being sick!!..... dont know if i'll be on again today or not... gonna let the kids eat their lunch and put them in their room with a video on and hopefully get a nap.... maybe that might help me?? we'll see.

tata 4 now

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 11:34

Hope you feel better soon Glask.

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 11:43

OMG!!!!!! I am an idiot!!!!

I was just rearranging my tender, aching boobs when I realised there is a man on the roof of the old people flats opposite us. When I looked at him he was getting on with whatever he is doing to their tv aerial.

BUT what if he saw me?????

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 12:48

well i got in from the nursery run, felt a bit better, think that may have been the fresh air... attempted some lunch but it's just come back up again... I'm going to starve myself for an hour or so, no water or food, hopefully then take a couple of painkillers again with the tiniest amount of water possible, and hopefully then i'll manage some tea. Honesly feel like wearing an eye patch- i'm sat with one eye closed so i can stand to look at the screen!!

Kayz- thats funny- i'm sure if he'd seen he'd ahve still been oggling though!! We live on a main rd, and traffic from the traffic lights often stops outside our house at busy times... when DD was still BFing i once got up and put her in her moses basket straight after a feed, not tucking myself away first, only to see a dirty old man looking in the window out of his car!!!

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 12:53

I am so embarrased. I must get some net curtains before baby comes so I can BF in peace.

Glad you felt a little better. Put on an eye patch!! Then take a picture of yourself so you can look back when the baby is here and laugh about it.

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 21/11/2008 13:17

poor u glas glad u managed nursery run u rest and take it easy not having food for abit sounds like a good idea.

lastboxoftampons · 21/11/2008 13:29

Oh, Kay! Hope your little one is coming out soon!

Glas sorry you're feeling crap

Pretty much all of my symptoms are gone already I'm only 4+4, and I'm insane already! How did you all do this!?!? Is there any way we can transform the wagon into a time machine

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 13:37

YAY KOOKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!

LBOT, I never had any symptoms at all with either of them. I know its hard not to worry but do try not too.

kookykid · 21/11/2008 13:51

Thanks Kay!

Still can't quite believe it!

How're you doing?? Apart from flashing at your neighbours?!

lastboxoftampons · 21/11/2008 13:56

KOOKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so, so, so, so, so excited for you!!!!! YAY!!! Congratulations!!!

When's your EDD??? We'll be so close!!!! So pleased for you!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 21/11/2008 13:56

Hurray Kooky Congratulations!

Come on in and grab a seat on the chocolate stained sofa!

Hi LBOT- sorry to hear about the worry but think its really normal...I remember wanting a wagon helicopter to pick me up and take me to 12wks...

Think symptoms being up and down at 4.5wks is really normal. Still early.. Lots of people dont even know they are preg at this stage!

That early, I remember that feeling weird then fine, then sick then fine, tired then not, sore boobs that came and went. Think it got more consistent at about 7wks.

Try and keep positive but I know how hard that must be... Grab a wagon wispa and relax here for a bit...

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 14:21

I am fine thanks Kooky. Just really fed up. I would like this baby sooner rather than later.
