Hi all, just ducking in and out again quickly - I'm off line this weekend so if anything happens with Kay can someone text me (Glask, NJ?)

Been a weird week, feel a little wired on my new AD's, got huge amounts of energy and feel constantly awake, which is nice coz I was permanently drowsy and sluggish before, but need to find a way of switching off. I keep waking early, so get up early, go to work early, then wilt by 3.30 but pick up again and even now sat here, I don't feel tired.

LG&T, lovely to see you on here, seen a few posts from you here and there but I mainly lurk here - hope everything is well with you and yours .

Best scoot - DH is nagging me to go to bed (cos its late, not the other ). Please don't talk too much over the weekend or I'll never be able to catch up x

Morning,

Bugger all happened!!! I slept all night which I put down to the GOF. I did dream I was in labour and it was so real. Everything was right, what I was wearing, what DH was wearing everything. I was so disappointed this morning!

Hope everyone is ok.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 21/11/2008 07:36

Morning Kay!

Weird about the being in labour dream... maybe its preparation for whats to come very soon

I also had the being in labour dream but woke up with crippling back ache so thats probably what caused that. Was weird as it started then stopped and the MWs got really cross....

Morning everyone else

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 21/11/2008 07:38

Morning! Have been lurking for hours..... DH is in Scotland today, so he was up at god knows what time, the contractions were terrible last night, I was so close to going in, but just couldn't face it again! And now I am glad I didn't, I am sure they would have had me down as the most annoying pregnant woman ever to attend that hospital, if they haven't already!

Kay, y'know sometimes the dreams come true, my sister had a dream on Saturday night that I'd had the baby, he was born 4lb 15, and we'd called him Mac () but on the scan on Tuesday they said he weighed 5lb 1oz, which would have put him at about 4lb 15 on Saturday! Luckily the being born didn't come true!

Right shower time, if I can be bothered to actually go upstairs, playing the good little wifey and getting up with him has just about done me in and the day has barely started yet!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 21/11/2008 07:39

Morning GYo - I'm going to climb Mt. Everest the stairs!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 21/11/2008 07:48

Morning Nat- weird about us all having dreams about babies/ labour... clearly part of it!

Nat, out of interest what do the BH's feel like? (if you can describe?) I keep getting stitch like pains that come and go when I walk, and i wake up every morning with a really achy sore hard bump that is better once Im up (unless its feeling "stichy" then it takes about 10mins to recover) - really hoping its not early BH type stuff... but since Im notching up quite a list of every possible pregnancy symptom I wouldnt be surprised!

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 07:49

Its a good thing DH gets paid weekly. Its pay day today and because I was signed off early I was paid £194 which is supposed to last 4 weeks. Sick pay sucks!!!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 07:50

morning.... i'm suffering what i think is yet another migrane.... It started coming yesterday afternoon, got worse by evening, and was awful all night!!! Its all over one eye... i'm wondering how stupid i'd look doing the nursery run with an eye patch on.....

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 07:53

Gyo, BH's do tend to stop if you get up and do something. They tend to come when you are relaxing.

My friend actually went into labour on her due date but thought they were BH's as her mum had said first baby's are always late. She ended up giving birth at home with paramedics there as she wouldn't go to hospital.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 21/11/2008 08:03

ooh thanks Kay....

That definately could explain how I feel every morning.. hard and painful then it stops once i get up....

I am really hoping baby will be late rather than early but i have a sneaking suspicion it will be early.... dont know why...

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 08:10

Well my mum definatley wont be able to give me a hand... My sister is having to go into hospital, she's had bleeding pretty heavily this morning and hasn't felt any movements from baby since yesterday morning. I think she's about 29wks.....

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 08:16

Glask, I hope your sister is ok and its nothing to serious.

I really can't be bothered today.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 08:18

right i'm off to do the nursery run... and attempt breakfast no2 (what did i say???)

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 08:24
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 21/11/2008 08:26

Oh no Glask, hope she and the baby are OK, kind of puts all of our moaning and groaning into perspective.

GYo, BH can be difficult to explain because everyone feels them differently, although on thw whole a BH would be classed as a BH if your belly goes hard, it isn't true that they don't hurt, and they don't always stop if you move around. For me the difference between what I would call a BH and a proper contraction is how and where my belly tightens, the intensity of it, also, with contractions I feel pressure in my bum, but with BH there is none. Contractions tend to last longer as well, and, for me at least, have a much more.... not sure of the word to describe it, it feels like they are squashing me and the baby, whereas a BH just squashes me, really difficult to explain in words. Don't even get me started on the difference between a contraction caused by the IU and a proper labour contraction, not sure I even know myself!

Right I am off into town (after school run) I really must get started on wrapping at least DS2's bday pressies, so I need to get wrapping paper, cards etc.

Diege · 21/11/2008 09:05

Morning! Hope your sister is OK GLASK . As Nat says, it does put all out moaning into perspective!
KAY, that dream is spooky! Were you early with ds? Fingers crossed things happen soon for you.
Also attempting breakfast 2 here GLASK - actually wasn't sick yesterday, just nauseous, but back with vengenace today.
Very, very windy here - dh is off so will take dd3 to her class which is a relief.
Hope everyone has a good day .
Oh and I can't do links NAT otherwise the IO dress would be up. It's the blue mini one, 50% off, if you're curious!

kayzisexpecting · 21/11/2008 09:19

Nope DS was 2 days late, but I am hoping this one is early. If it goes on what happened to my mum. I was a week late and my brother was a week early. So maybe that means this one will be early.

Diege, is it this one?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 09:46

well breakfast no2 didn't stay down either!!

right.... in a dillema, last time i had a migrane I phoned GP to see if i can take painkillers while on the cyclazine... he said no, can take either or, but not together....

so migrane is really bad and think thats making me sick (last 2 times i had them i ended up in hospital because the sickness got out of control again....) I took my cyclazine this morning but because of the migrane am being sick anyway... so do i take a good dose of X.strong painkillers to get some of the migrane pain away so i can hopefully have some food down, or do i cope with the pain, continue with cyclazine in hope that it can help control the sickness still???? i can't decide, and couldn't last time and ended up having one day on painkillers, next on cyclazine.... but it still didn't work really!!

Diege · 21/11/2008 09:46

Kay thank you . Yes, it's the blue one and because I am a short arse I am presuming it won't be quite so short! Should be nice with leggings under.
Re: baby dates, my midwife told me that your body gets better at sussing out a baby needs to be born with every subsequent birth , so each would be progressively early (which sort of rules out 50% of all women's experiences). Was true for me - dd1 5 days early, same dd2, dd3 6 days..I am sooo excited for you!

Diege · 21/11/2008 09:48

Oh Glask that sounds rough. I think I would go for the migraine drugs in pref to cyclazine, as like you say sickness may be more related to migraine. Really feel for you

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 09:53

ok- painkillers it is then- i kinda thought that myself as am only being sick once a week or so now (even on anti-sickness !!! Poor DS has been sent to nursery with calpol too as he's got tender arms from his jabs yesterday, DH was sick from coughing so much this morning, my sister is in hospital (still not heard anything yet)..... what a day so far!!!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 21/11/2008 09:55

oh and for anyone wondering about the dying fish.......

last night he had been led on the bottom of the tank for about 6hrs in total, just making really big gill movements and nothing else... i fed them and he wiggled himself across the bottom of the tank to get the falling bits of food (greedy fatty he is!!) i swear i thought i'd be fishing him out this morning... looked in first thing and he's back swimming around again, like normal!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 21/11/2008 10:21

Ooooh Diege that dress is lovely am wondering if I can justify it for 6 weeks worth of wear? It is xmas, so sure I'd get some wear out of it... I will think on...

Glask, hope you get some news from your sister soon, you all must be so worried On a different note, we had a fish once that played dead everytime I cleaned the tank out, (there were other fish in it as well so wasn't anything I was doing) but it would just float around, not even moving his gills or anything, we gave them to my sister when we moved up here (didn't think they'd fancy the 200 mile trip in a moving van!) told her about his playing dead, next time I spoke to her she'd flushed him, I don't think he was dead! Seems to be a trick in our family to get rid of live pets though, my uncle A used to have two little snakes, he went on holiday, uncle B looked after them for him, uncle B found them both dead one morning, did the right thing and burried them, uncle A came back from holiday and pointed out they probably weren't dead, but hibernating....

Town was packed, I am really starting to think this credit crunch thing is a load of balls!

Diege · 21/11/2008 10:27

GLASK, your fish sounds the sort of pet that will linger on for years...like those really skinny cats that never seem to die
NAT - get the dress! Seriously, it's a good reduction, you can wear over Xmas, and also day to day over jeans, leggings etc. Plus IO clothes are designed to be worn after the birth (trimester 4 as they call it) and, finally, you can sell it on e-bay and I'll bet you'll get your money back. Have I convinced?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 21/11/2008 10:32

You are a very bad influence! T'is a good job my purse is in my bag, in the hall, and I am far too lazy to go and get it, might send DS2 though....
