you've defo gotta get some hard GOFing tonight and it'll get it going!!!! I swear, the day my MW said DS was 4/5ths engaged she said if you want him before xmas have some good deep sex tonight and i promise he'll be here.... Me and DH GOF'd at about 10.30, went to sleep, and 2hrs later woke up with a massive contraction that was the start of it all!! less than 9hrs later he was here!!

kayzisexpecting · 20/11/2008 14:48

That might explain why I need the toilet so much more then.

I think he is going to be a long baby. His bum is right in my ribs. It's amazing how MW's can feel around and know what is where. Whenever I do it, I can just feel bits.

DS didn't engage until the day before he was due, they were going on about having to do a CS if he didn't engage so I am very nervous about heads engaging.

kayzisexpecting · 20/11/2008 14:49

Glask, DH is at work until 11 tonight. I'll probably be asleep when he gets in.

largeginandtonic · 20/11/2008 14:49

Mine dont engage till labour mostly.

Good lord tis the school run, byeeeee.

Good luck kay!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/11/2008 14:50

Diege, link to dress please, you should know by now, any purchases have to be ran through the wagon! C'mon girl, get with it will ya?!

LBox, I agree, the low points would be heartbreaking.

LG&T, TBH they don't seem all that interested in the leaks (always feel like saying 'anyone called a plumber?' when the word leak is mentioned ) when I told the MW today about the leak yesterday, and that I was a bit worried about infection, she once again put it down to discharge (different MW who said it last time!) but then she said to ring in if I had another leak between now and Monday. I feel fine, but I have done all the way through, my iron is low so am knackered but what's new?!

And I agree with the not knowing the difference, people always say "You'll know when it's really labour", and yes I did with DS2, but not until I was up on delivery and had only the lip of my cervix to go, until that point I thought the contractions were all down to the IU and they were all making a fuss because my waters had gone LOL I even remember telling the first MW that checked me, still makes me PMSL, she sniffed my wet knickers, after I'd finished rolling around the bed in hysterics with flashbacks of looooooong nights on MN, I told her the contractions weren't real, she said "we'll see about that, I'm off to ring your husband" LOL

Ah happy memories,

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/11/2008 14:50

I've seen the moses basket i want on ebay, and its only down the rd, at a buy-it-now of only £10... have text DH, no reply, have rang him, no answer.... should i just buy it and get him to collect it tongiht? or wait till he says yes??? someone else has just asked a Q about it, and i'm worried its gonna get snapped up at that low price!!!!

Also she's selling a changing table for only £10 too... i also want that, but never used one with the other 2... so defo waiting on a yes for that.....

Advise me ladies???

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/11/2008 14:50

Sorry x posts with loads then, have to go and get DS1, will catch up when I get back!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/11/2008 14:51

text your DH and tell him to give you a poke when he gets in!! Literally!! haha!!

kayzisexpecting · 20/11/2008 15:03

LOL,

I would buy the moses basket Glask and if you're DH moans I will send him the £10!!!!!!!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/11/2008 15:12

he phoned... said yes, begrudgingly, seeing as we have a lot on next payday (from tomorrow) and he wants to wait to get most of the baby bits after xmas...

Good job he'd already agreed as i just got a letter from the bank- silly me worked out the bank balance wrong, took more out than i should have earlier in the week and didn't leave enough for one of our bills... so now we've got a £35 charge .... he wont be best pleased with me now!!! its the first time its happened in years!!!!

kayzisexpecting · 20/11/2008 15:19

Oh Glask, its an easy thing to do. I've done it before.

I have just thought that I had better pack a bag of stuff for DS for when he goes to my mums.

I wish I knew where my gym ball is so I could sit on it.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/11/2008 15:23

oooh- i've just done our banking online, and it wasn't really my fault, a payment we'd payed on our card didn't come out until a week later, so when i checked the balance we still had that payment to still come out the day after.... i'm angry now as its not all my doing!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/11/2008 15:25

Good buying there Glask! Sorry you've got a charge though Everyone makes mistakes, don't beat yourself up about it. If it is the first time for a long time if you ring your bank and explain it was an honest mistake, they might wave the fee if they're feeling nice. And a changing table is a good purchase I reckon, saves your back!

Kay, deffo get him to give you a poke, it'll be worth missing five 20 mins of sleep if it works

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 20/11/2008 15:29

right i'm off to take Ds for his stabbing jab now might not be on again today as DH is finishing early to stay with DD while i go with DS.

have a good evening all if i dont get back on!!

kayzisexpecting · 20/11/2008 15:34

Hope the jab goes well Glask.

I might have to get him to, I might still be awake. I normally cant get to sleep until he gets home but lately I've been falling asleep.

kayzisexpecting · 20/11/2008 15:45

Why is Mothercare so useless?

I ordered a load of stuff 7 days ago and its still not here!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/11/2008 15:50

Good luck at the docs Glask, poor little things, at least they are normally quick about it.

Kay, have you checked your account with them? They normally give you an estimated delivery date.

kayzisexpecting · 20/11/2008 15:52

Yeah it was Tuesday. They never deliver anything on time.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/11/2008 15:56

Give them a ring tomorrow. I am torn with them at the moment, have been waiting on the furniture for the best part of two months, and even come Monday it won't all be here, but then ordered some stuff on Tuesday night, and it was here today, bit hit and miss methinks. I have though waited for weeks for normal every day things to arrive, that they claim were in stock when I ordered them.

The baby is getting jiggy wit' it again It feels really strange now, almost like first movments again

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 20/11/2008 15:56

glas i would def go for both moses and changing table £10 each sounds like a right bargain
sorry for charge
hope you get mothercare order soon kay sure u will get in next few days

wilsonmummy · 20/11/2008 16:01

Hey all!

so much to catch up this thread is moving so fast lately!!

Went to disney on ice last night to see finding nemo and it was fantabalous, i loved watching the faces of my 2dd's they were awe strucken, dd2 was nearly crying at the end went they finished she was shouting more mummy!!

I read about someone going to dorothy perkins for some maternity jeans, well if you open one of their store cards and take out the paymet protection which is about 1.50 to every £100 you spend on the card, keeps all your reciepts for your purchases, the one every few months take all your receipts to the till and ask them to price check everything, anything that has been reduced which normally nearly everthing has to at least half price, you can claim the difference back. I do this all the time and recently had a refund of £75 back which means you can buy more new clothes and start the process all over again!!

I tell everyone about this cos dp get people to take out the insurance and most people forget of lose their reciepts so can't claim!!

anyway how is everyone? i've been told i looked wasked out and pasty today!! oh joy!!

kayzisexpecting · 20/11/2008 16:02

You can track your order but it just says reallocation whatever that means and that was today. But if it means they tried to deliver today there is no card through the door. So I'm not sure.

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 20/11/2008 16:05

i would phone them kay def
