Hello all!!

You've all been busy chatting away for 4+ pages whilst I've been away from the internet at work

Kay - congrats to your cousin and girlfriend and really like Sophia Ava

I seem to have found a mini bump half way through today. Had to undo top of my normally baggy work trousers!

I'm getting v excited for all of you who are getting close to the end! I think if any of you do an "I am in labour" thread, I'll either be up all night following or have to cancel work that day!

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 19/11/2008 19:10

sorry hbjb here if you need to chat

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 19/11/2008 20:23

Where is everyone???!

Have read through the day but now forgotten it all

Heebee - thanks for posting. Am thinking of you. (Have a sneaky wagon hug off me)

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 20:29

I am here, feeling like poop.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 20:32

I'm here too, DH watching football...

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 19/11/2008 20:33

Aww,Kay - that's no good

I remember you said earlier today you weren't feeling great. Do you really think it could be a sign you could go into labour in the next few days?

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 20:37

I'm not sure Ses, probably not knowing my luck. I would be so happy if he came in the next week. I'm a bit worried because I feel so down now, it could cause PND.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 20:38

Kay, if it's any help, the night DS2 engaged I felt really poorly, still didn't go into labour though

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 20:41

I think the last couple of weeks of pregnancy are made for feeling down, fed up, pissed off, you have everything to wait for, and nothing at all to make it come any quicker (no matter how much raspberry leaf tea you drink, or how much sex you have) it rarely leads to PND, especially if you've not got a history of depression anyway.

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 20:43

Cheers Nat, I'm hoping once I have him I feel happier. I'm sick of feeling like this.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 19/11/2008 20:45

I can only imagine what the last few weeks are like. The first few really drag but I guess the last few seem like it's never ending!

Hi NJ - how are you doing? Has your leaking still stopped?

I really look like I've got a bump this evening! I did seem to grow noticeably during the day today. Will probably shrink back by the morning!

sorkycake · 19/11/2008 20:46

Aw Kay, it isn't that long to go now.
I know it doesn't speed it up, in fact if anything I think the last 3 weeks are the worst because every little niggle is potentially IT. I hate the last 3 weeks.

Are you getting regular bouts of BH?

Nat I had a giggle at gruff/GYO earlier suggesting that if there was an "Am I in Labour?" thread she'd be up all night reading/waiting.
I thought of you at that point and giggled out loud thinking if it's anything like NJ's last one she'll be on tentahooks for days! ;)

I was talking to Lulumama for about 4 days of pre-labour before it all kicked off.

GruffaloSoldier · 19/11/2008 20:47

Hi

I am here! Just caught up with days postings - phew! Im exhausted just from reading.

So sorry HBJB - the waiting must be the worst

Im waiting for DH to get up and make me apple strudel and custard. He is on his forum on his laptop sitting next to me But I cant move. I just had a bath and now I am soooo tired and sleepy.

Kayz - 37 weeks(well on Friday) only 3 weeks to go!!
tink - 32 weeks only 8 weeks to go
Gin - 32 weeks 8 left!
Playing 24 weeks, 16 weeks left
GYo 23weeks, 17 weeks left
Gruff, 19 weeks, 21 weeks left
Glaskham - 18 weeks 22left to go......

Yay, DH made it to the kitchen - I can hear clattering of pots and baking tray - music to my ears

I have now had a few instances of kicks I can feel from the outside - of course Im not 100% but just had them in bath again, but when called DH they stopped! Its just one big one and then nthing and then happens again and then doesn't happen for hours/days. SO exciting though! I really want DH to feel it!

GruffaloSoldier · 19/11/2008 20:50

Oh and Kay if this is a girl will be Lily Ava Sophie, so some similarities there with Sophia Ava - lovely! (boy will be Zachary/Zach)

Gyo - nappy lady is called Wendy Richards I think thats what you said will have to go back and check now!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 19/11/2008 20:50

Ooh Gruff! Kicks sound v exciting! I can't wait to start feeling the baby move but as it's my first I'm not going to get my hopes up until about 20 weeks.

Hi Sorky

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 20:51

I am getting a lot of BH's. Some days it feels like they last all day. Maybe if I go and bend Lulu's ear for a few days I'll go into labour.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 20:53

Oh yes sorry Kay, congrats to your cousin and their little family

Nope, no more leaking, fingers crossed that'll be it for a few days again at least (my theory is that if there is a few days inbetween leaks then the waters should be able to replenish easily at that rate.)

Sorky, t'was not days, t'was farking weeks!! WEEKS woman, am not going down that road again!

Ooooh Gruff, apple pudding and custard sound's good

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 20:56

I might buy these They might bring on labour.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 20:59

Kay, nipple tweaking is just as good, so I'm told...

Have you done any of the RLT or anything else?

GruffaloSoldier · 19/11/2008 20:59

You never know Ses - this is my first and first started feeling movements at 16 weeks which was same as my sister. Def got stronger by 18 weeks.

Shall I get DH to make extra for you NJ? I dont usually do sharing but after all your probs I think you are very deserving of some

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 21:01

I have 2-3 cups RLT a day. I read about clary Sage somewhere but I'm not sure what it is. We try to have sex but its not very easy.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 21:13

Hold the apple crumble for me, haven't had dinner yet! Might be able to squeeze a lot some in after though

Kay, try the tablets, much more concentrated and no horrible taste. Clary sage is an essential oil, you can buy from most health food stores, it smells pretty bad but it certainly makes my contractions stronger, lavender oil ditto, add a couple of drops of each to a bath, you can massage them into your bump as well using a carrier oil (baby oil is good for that) the other thing that sounds a bit loony, but I think helps prepare yourself mentally (and so therefore helps you to relax, ready for giving birth) is to really visualise your body opening up, go into great detail in your mind, like I said sounds a bit funky, but I am sure it helps. All of these things aren't really meant to bring labour, just get your body more ready for it, to bring it on, sex, nipple stim, sex, nipple stim, sex, prostoglandin gel... works a treat for me

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 19/11/2008 21:14

I'm still convinced baby is hiding behind the placenta as hb is muffled on doppler so I'm going to think around 20 weeks and if it happens before - bonus!

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 21:22

I cant find the tablets here Nat. Would mean a trip to York and I don't think I could manage it. Could look online.

I will get some Clary Sage and lavender oil tomorrow if I can.

GruffaloSoldier · 19/11/2008 21:52

I ate far too much now feel very sick

But it was worth it
