NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 15:52

Cor, you have all been busy LG&T Helloooooooo I am 33+4 (I think) got some on going issues, but hope he's staying put for now, no names here, think he'll be an old man before we get our act together.

Can't remember who said what now, but no, the OiOi bag I wanted was called Khaki Swirls or something will look for link later (if I can find one) my Bee is khaki so I had to be careful which green to get or go down the contrast road, and I think that bag I've ordered will be contrast enough.

Sorky, I think it's a great idea for you to finally take a back seat, you've been struggling with the pain for long enough now, there has to be a cut off point, for your sake and the other kid's sake.

Right I am going to get DS1, can you lot not fill up the whole thread in the 15 mins I'm gone please?!

Oh and just remembered, no more leaks since this morning

Hi everyone

Lovely chat about bags this afternoon... I've seen loads I like, cant choose! Also quite about how much you can spend on a babybag! hurray to have a good reason to buy a new bag!!!

Bit of boss update. Didnt get to HR today but my mentor discussed issue with him.... Boss didnt think there was an issue at all thought I could be "rather flustered" at times! apparently he felt that was rather insulting I have to say! Will see how it goes but hopefully now he knows I'd made an official record of the issue he will stop being a bully. Voodoo dolls still required

Will have proper catch up now!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/11/2008 16:27

Kay- love the bag you posted I've been eyeing that one in red. Seems quite big though. Does it need to be so big - no idea what needs to go in it

Sorky- Glad you are going to get signed off so you can rest up now. Do you hope to stay signed off til you start maternity leave?

Hello LG&T

Re buggies, im looking at the Bugaboo Bee too only as I have a tiny car and so I want something lightweight... fancy a red or kharki one

Hello everyone else

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 16:51

GYo, I want a biggish bag so I can put nappies, a drink and snacks for DS in it too.

You need to take nappies, wipes, nappy sacks, bib/muslin squares, change of clothes, bottles and formula if you aren't breastfeeding. Can be handy to put your purse, mobile etc in too, so you don't have to take 2 bags out with you.

Heebeejeebee · 19/11/2008 16:52

Hi all

Just a quick one from me to say I had my blood test this morning (bit of a saga as they couldn't find the form and i ended up crying on some poor midwife). Anyhow, the levels have risen, but only very slightly, so the EP midwife has confirmed it is probably over. I still need to wait until Tuesday for the scan as she wants to see what the sac is doing and she said she'll discuss where we go from there then.

Hope you're all well

C

sorkycake · 19/11/2008 17:00

back from GP's...took one look at my....ahem....bits and signed me off on 2 weeks bedrest

BEDREST FFS! How do you do that with 3 kids !?!?!?!?!

I'll be sodding demented

sorkycake · 19/11/2008 17:03

sorry for all the icons.......i'm still a bit

Gyo you have no idea the size of bag you'll need. Mine is an Ollie n Nic flight bag, but I suspect carting 4 around everywhere I'm gonna need something bigger.

I'm wondering if Dh will pity me and let me get a Luella Giselle? I've always wanted one

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 17:05

Heebs, I am so so sorry. But the MW said it is 'probably' over. Its not 100% yet. I'll keep everything crossed for you. Have a naughty

Oh dear Sorky. I would hate bedrest even with no kids. I would be bored out of my mind.

I am still feeling crappy. I am so uncomfortable, no matter what I do I can't get more comfy. I am so tired and fed up I just want to cry all day. I think I might have to talk to my MW tomorrow morning.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/11/2008 17:25

oh no.... the churpiness wasn't gonna last all day... but thats a knock for the wagon HBJB- do know that we are all here for you, and I just hope you have the support around you at home right now to help you through... as Kayz said its not 100%, i will keep everything crossed for you!!

Kayz- i dont know what to suggest to you.... maybe get a nice hot bath this evening, get out and snuggle on the sofa with a hot choc and make the most of your current 'freedom'... in what could be a matter of days now you'll have a newborn and things will be a big change again....

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 17:30

Bloody hell, it has been quiet all day, and then goes absolutely wild all at once, have been on phone almost constantly since I got home from school, Boori rang, furniture will be here between 10 and 2 on Monday then BIL about evil sister's birthday, 19th December (I'll only be slightly pregnant by then ), do we want to travel 200 miles down south for it - quick answer is no, long answer is fuck off no! then lovely jubbly sister on phone for nearly an hour, then DH on phone, and another phone call in the middle of that that I didn't answer because I was on my mobile, need to check who that was actually.... phew, I haven't even started thinking about dinner yet, next on the list!

Heebs, I am so sorry sweetie, I wish there was something I could say/do, will still be keeping my fingers crossed because the egg sac growing is a really good sign, it doesn't grow for no reason. I really hope it is better news on Tuesday.

Sorky, glad your doc was so understanding, though obviously not enough to know that bed rest is an impossibility with kids! I guess you just have to take it as easy as you can, give yourself a fighting chance of getting a bit more comfortable.

Right I am off to do dinner, sorry if I've missed anything, have only skim read, we are back up the hospital tomorrow morning so will be probably at least lunch time before I get back on, and I've just remembered I didn't tell lovely jubbly sister what I wanted to tell her... grrrr! Have a good night everyone xxx

largeginandtonic · 19/11/2008 17:43

Sorky at the bed rest. I am currently on bed rest too >

Heebee hope that all is ok, you never know. Will be keeping everything crossed for you.

NJ do you think you weed your pants then? All the niggles there?

I am BH central but tbh am ignoring it. I cannot be bothered to react to it all, i am sure she is staying put and i just have a very irritable uterus from having so many children. They are quite spectacular sometimes, real contortions of the tummy like when you are in labour. I will never know the difference...

You have a Bee NJ, thought you were getting the Micralite Toro. I like the Bee but my children are too biffaish to fit in the teeny tiny seats. I love the nest that goes in them though

I am getting a Jane powertwin for the car, ebay i hope. I mostly walk everywhere so will use the Silver Cross with toddler seat for Beau. I cant wait

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 17:48

Nat get yourself to B&Q now!!!!!!! They are giving vouchers to woman whose waters break in store!! Story here!!! You just need your waters to leak slighty while you are there.

lastboxoftampons · 19/11/2008 18:01

Oh, HBJB I'm so sorry But am hoping all will be okay. Please do feel free to unload here. I know what you're going through

Sorky you poor thing! But hopefully even if it doesn't mean you actually stay in bed for two weeks, it will at least slow you down a bit! Your body is telling you to rest, your doctor is telling you to rest! So rest!!!! Hope you're feeling better!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 18:10

OK am back, hot dogs for tea anyone?! My poor kids...!

LOL LG&T, not sure about wee/waters, DH wasn't here to sniff it No, seriously it was waters (or I bloody hope so, had just been for a wee before I left for school so there would be some serious pelvic floors to go through if it had have been wee!) as I said, back up the hospital tomorrow so will tell them, I don't think there is anything they can do to stop a slow leak, though I am a bit at why at term if your wtaers go and nothing happens for days they induce you, but it's OK for them to be slowly leaking for god knows how long before term? And yes contractions are still going strong and getting stronger, I am the same as you, think his head will be out before I finally accept it's labour this time, which is a little worrying!

I was planning on the Toro, but when we went to see it in RL, it was such a let down, not because it was crap or anything, it was just so.... -ish, then I sort of got interested in the Britax something or other, went to see it and it was mahoosive beyond mahoosive, and right next to it was the Bee, that I don't like very much TBH, but it was so small and light and just far too practical to pass up on, we tried DS2 in the seat (not a small 'un by any means) and he was fine, and I am not one for using a buggy until they are twenty five (DS2 is out of his now, except the very odd trip to town if I know I'm going far) so that is how me and the Bee came about! The nest is causing me a bit of a conumdrum actually, not sure what to put the baby in, snow suit and the nest is too much, but a coat/jacket thing doesn't seem enough...

LOL Kay, even vouchers for B&Q are not enough of a pull to get me in that shop, don't know what it is about B&Q that just turns everything to mush, but something always happens there, (car's scratched/dented, some stupid bloody woman nearly running me and DS1 over while I was putting him in his car seat years ago, kids get hurt, DH spends too much, I see things that give me ideas about spending more.....) hate that shop!

Speaking of DH, he is home so I am off, going to have a bath I think, let this afternoon wash away while DS1 decides he needs a wee, then five mins later a poo, then DS2 will decide he want's to join me, or splash about and soak the floor, and then DH will want a wee, then I give up and get out! Don't you love family life?!! G'night again xxx

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 18:23
