Morning everyone!!Sorry I havent been on sooner, DS is a week old today but only came home from hospital on wed and have been getting used to family life with 2 DC!!!!!

Congratulations to everyone who has had their babies while I have been away sorry I cant possibly catch up on over a weeks posts!!!

Sorry to hear some of you are getting fed up of waiting, especially those of you overdue dwife I was 14 days overdue so sure you will manage to give birth sooner than I did!!

barbs I went in to be induced and because the labour ward was full I was kept waiting on a maternity ward and went into labour naturally while waiting!!!!!!!!!!!! so things can change very quickly

Right going to go and post on post natal thread if I can find it? Also need to find where to post my birth story (its a long story i'm afraid!)

BIRTH STORY

dh managed to get home just in time - he got back at about 6:20am on Friday morning managed to get about an hours sleep before the kids came and jumped on him! Then I had my show about 8:30 - ctx came every 4-5 mins then for about 50-60 secs... when to the hospital and was hooked up to the monitor at about 9:00 - at which point it took the mw a further half hour to examine me, it turned out that I was only 4 cms - so she left the room but by 10:00 I was needing to push but there was no midwife in the room, just me and dh!!! I was so high on gas and air that I didn't notice but luckily as I was pushing Jacks head out at she returned - he was blue as he had the cord wrapped around his neck and he was finally born at 10:14! Am really annoyed that mw wasn't in the room being supportive but at least my dh was there he was an absolute star!!!

Sending labour vibes to those who really need it - come on girlies!!!!

twinkle my DH is from Whitehaven so we're there 3/4 times a year - its a small world!!

congrats twinkle can't believe you ended up with an unassisted birth while in hospital!! But sounds like DH was a star.

I have been playing rugby this morning (OK not properly, just jogging and passing and mucking around, but this baby is as reluctant as I am! But I am still technically underdue and not in discomfort, so I must not grumble.

7lb 12oz
home until 44cm tens only until 9.5cms dilated
then anterior lip meant g&a for epidural and ventouse.
