Good luck Hana if your baby is born tomorrow it will share my mum's bday too!! And she's lovely.

chocolategal · 21/11/2008 18:10

aww goodluck hana i am now very very

my contractions are very on/off!
but when they are on they are sore, which would be ok if they would just keep on going and i could eventually go to the hospital but after an hour or so of the sore ones they stop!
then only come every 15-20mins (which is still too often for me to sleep)
i have been at this is WEDNESDAY!
god, now i totally know what rutho was going through!!!

am thinking of phoning hosp tmw if things dont pick up and plead for an induction due to my exhaustion! (so not a fan of induction but needs must!)

barbs that is frustrating about the suspected leak! i know by this stage you are looking for any positive sign of labour being near!

Tinkerisdead · 21/11/2008 18:10

barb yes technically you're first, its Hana thats jumping the queue!!
What homepathic remedies did you take Hana, ive got a full helios kit here, i am prepared to ramp up my attempts some more. come on what did you take so i can catch up??

i just walked round tescos came home and have what isnt mucus plug but a sludgy brown bleughh...is that a show? i want my baby this weekend, preferably in the snow. I may even put xmas decs up and totally baffle the child for years to come with xmas style photos telling it it came on a rare white christmas!!!!

chocolategal · 21/11/2008 18:16

Scuse the crash
OI LACK - thought this might be helpful re your unwanted items .

Tinkerisdead · 21/11/2008 18:31

hana well call her and ask her what i should take!!!! ha ha ive got it all..shall i go back on calluphylum?

choc are you still contracting? i know you started up, are you still niggling?

my midwife just text me : "i guarantee you labour tonight as ive eaten a curry and totally stink of garlic and so i apologise if i breathe it on you later"

i sent one back saying i have brown bloody gunge pants, see you later then!

ohhhhhhhh fingers crossed.

chocolategal · 21/11/2008 19:05

yes fingers crossed drswife
yep im still contracting but only every 30mins or so now!
so bloody annoying, this afternoon was getting them every 4mins!!!

phoned hosp and they said it was maybe "practice ones", great!

they werent interested that i was 3-4cm dilated yest so with all these contractions must surely be more than that now!

Poor DH is most confused by the whole thing, he thought it would be textbook stuff, a show, waters, contractions, baby!!!

LadyBuzz · 21/11/2008 19:28

congratulations to twinkle on the speedy arrival of Jack Tomas!

Pinkyminkee · 21/11/2008 20:46

Just waiting for the stragglers now, then? COme on babies- the weekend is here- we know how much you like weekend birthdays!

barbareebaa · 21/11/2008 21:59

I'm a bit worried now. Have just been reading a thread about inductions and there were some scary stories. I'm starting to feel unprepared for this. I think today proved my body is not geared up to give birth. Is it wise to force it to do something it is not ready to do??
The thought I might hurt my little boy by making the wrong decision terrifies me.

Having said that I will go tomorrow but ask a bunch of questions. If I'm not happy with the answers I don't have to stay do I?

gah. What questions could I ask?

Pinkyminkee · 21/11/2008 22:20

barbs lots of people do have very successful births by induction. My friend had both her DCs that way.
But I guess any intervention increases the chances of assisted delivery, so you may need to be prepared for that.

I would imagine ask the usual questions- re monitoring, mobility, time frames etc.

I'm sure someone who has experience of this can advise/reassure, but don't go scaring yourself with horror stories- I'm sure there are lots on mnet for everry 'style' of childbirth.

Plus, a lot can change in 3-4 days!

MummyNic · 21/11/2008 22:42

Congratularions Twinkle

Good luck hanaflower, sounds very promising!!!
