Birth vibes coming your way drswife. You seem to have tried everything humanly possible to get that baby moving - you must have the most comfortable uterus in the world!

Send up the skin chimney sweep - chim chim cheroo (sorry that's a bit rude but it made me giggle)

barbareebaa · 21/11/2008 10:14

Don't worry DrsWife - I won't be having mine today so that leaves a slot for you!!

At the rate my 'labour's' going (i.e. 1 'stage' a week) I'll be well into December!!
Pah!

Hi everyone else!!

Am off now so will report back (if anything to report that is...)
x

DW you might have to hold out for a 23rd baby - as thats the magic 9 days!!

Good luck to all other overdue mummmies to be, I know how frustrating it is but I would also say, especially to the first timers like me, make the most of the last few days by sleeping and spending lots of quality time with DH/DP's - those two things go right out of the window once your LO is here (or at least they did for me!)

Tinkerisdead · 21/11/2008 13:21

hiiiii, back again...still pregnant!
Hana, this was my fourth attempt at a sweep as every time its been unsuccessful. Ive had so many because i have indi midwife and so she offered at 38 weeks when i had hind water leak and high blood pressure so each week we try again as im avoiding induction for the blood pressure.

so she tries to turn the baby using this weird sacrollic pressure thing, still back to back. attempt a sweep, she can touch cervix, its fully effaced but dilation is only 1cm and she couldnt get in to do the sweep as my cervix is tilted to the right.
My second midwife called whilst first one was here and they both said they'd like it this weekend as both are free and bored.

hmph not as bored as me.. it has to come before next week or i'll drown myself.

MummyNic · 21/11/2008 13:44

Gosh, sounds like a nightmare Drswife I wasn't dilated at all at 40+1 but it didn't matter as James was in trouble and I had an emergency cs, I do woder how long he'd have stayed there if he hadn't been in trouble though, I hadn't had a bh, show or any sign of waters!

When are you due hanaflower?

Pinkyminkee · 21/11/2008 13:47

Just spotted choco's post about a 23rd baby and nearly fainted... you mean 23rd November. That's a relief.

DRswife et al.Much sympathy. I remember only too well waddling around with my humungous lumpy potato bump, overdue with DS.

Come on babies your mummies want to meet you!!

Oblomov · 21/11/2008 14:03

LOL ar drswfe ' free and bored mw'
lol . oh well, thats o.k. then.
ha ha ha.

Oblomov · 21/11/2008 14:04

hana WAS due 17th
i know bc she wad my edd twin.

Tinkerisdead · 21/11/2008 14:06

4 days... get in line hana, im a week over me first me first!!

MummyNic · 21/11/2008 14:26

No fighting now ladies!!!

Oblomov · 21/11/2008 14:31

scrap, scrap.
I'm more over than you.
na-ner-ner-ner-na.
yes, yes, form an orderly line of overdueness, PLEASE

me and ds2 just got out of the bath. I fed him in the bath. lovely.

Tinkerisdead · 21/11/2008 14:39

i had a dream last night and i blame merrymarigold. I dreamed i had twins, one was the baby i knew about, the other was a twin hidden behind it. it was so withered it was an earthworm with a head! i called them merry and marigold. i breast fed both in the rugbyball hold but marigold the withered head, slipped off the cushion and under my wheelchair (note i am no longer using a wheelchair) i am on Mn too much.

Pinkyminkee · 21/11/2008 14:41

eww Drswife! I had one where the baby had chicken's feet, and he came out of my belly button. Not wholly innacurate, I suppose.

I mean the cat flap delivery, not the feet.

Tinkerisdead · 21/11/2008 14:47

so your baby has chickens feet?

oH HANA How exciting......would be lovely to share your mum's birthday - that way, would you HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO GIVE BABY THE FAMILY NAME ........

Bet your going to tell me now, that it is on your dad's side aren't you???!

(DM wanders off and wonders how she can convince hana to use the fabulous family name for her DC, and to continue the family tradition)

reluctantincubator · 21/11/2008 16:48

You are all allowed in front of me - I am a measly 39 weeks today and no sign of anything whatsoever, despite my constantly peering at the bog roll for evidence of a show. . I think this baby is settled in for the long haul.

Go hanaflower go! (and the rest of the waiters!)

barbareebaa · 21/11/2008 16:57

False alarm!!!!

Apparently no leaking (dread to think what I wiped off the kitchen floor... )
But I still think I did leak
Had ctg and am contracting every 10 mins (but not big-fat-baby-evicting contractions)
Examination showed cervix is closed. No sign of anything going on.

So that was a thrilling afternoon! Hana Huzah for breaking waters!!!!

DrsWife At least you have dilation (PMA?)
Seriously though, I totally empathise x
What's happening with Chocgal?

I suppose at least I know my lo will be out in a day or 2 (or 3 or 4) - induction tomorrow. I will be 11 days overdue - is that not me at the front of the queue??

Pinkyminkee · 21/11/2008 16:59

woohoo good luck hana.
