Morning ladies....

Nothing to report I'm afraid... am off to the mw at 14:00 and going to get these bloody tightenings checked out!!! It would be nice if there had been some progress but I doubt - I think baby just enjoys practising!!!

Have emailed you Thedoctorswife with texting details!!!

Tinkerisdead · 20/11/2008 10:03

sent you a test text twink i have period pains, i darent get up in case they stop. everytime i walk they always stop! dear lord please let them ramp up and have a baby today..my stepdad is coming at 3pm to pick up some xmas presents. if i could have it by then, he would be first to meet baby and that would send my mother loopy..what an incentive

Yorky · 20/11/2008 10:05

Don't give up yet Twinkle - I thought I'd only been having irritating non-productive tightenings, until yesterday afternoon obviously!
She is feeding like the 9lb9.5oz gannet that she is, and doesn't half shout if I take the boob away before she wants me too!
Didn't have too bad a night apart from both of them being up!
DH has taken DS to music so I have had a shower and am now going for a nap!

dyerlou · 20/11/2008 10:38

congrats yorky have just read your live thread and sobed like a baby! Can't wait to hear her name! am 6 days overdue today and am desparate to have this baby in my arms!have had lots of mucus come away but not pink like the show I had with ds any idea if this could be some sort of sign?

Oblomov · 20/11/2008 10:51

Congratulations LLPJ. Love the name Penelope. Am a bit of a fan of Penelope Pitstop.

Drswife and twinkle, glad you got text buddies sorted. Was going to offer my services. I am chocolategal's, but I can multi task and can do more than one thing lady, at a time

I am poised on my mobile. I keep waiting for chocolategal to give birth. and I keep waiting for Hana, seeing as she is my birth twin.
The anticipation is killing me
I feel like i've been checking my phone every minute for weeks now.

I have downloaded a new photo.
Been given o.k. by GP to drive, today. Hoorah.

barbareebaa · 20/11/2008 10:53

Morning all!!

Good luck at the mw twinkle - hope there's been some progress!

Dyerlou I had a bloody show last thurs and am still waiting!! Think it just depends - I know some ladies have had a show and gone into labour a few hours later - fingers crossed for you!

DrsWife Hope the niggles turn into rumbles

Yorky Your baby girl is gorgeous

nothing happening here I would rather not be induced.

fed up now!

Tinkerisdead · 20/11/2008 11:04

arghhh no more pains. im so so sick of this. i swear to god, ive actually forgotten about the baby in there i think. Its just a massive fibroid im sure. honestly its just never coming out!
obs love the photo of bath time. sigh, would love a baby to bath, a little snuggly one all cuddled into my neck, with skinny tiny arms and legs like a raw chicken in a babygro! hmph..

ChocOrange05 · 20/11/2008 11:55

DW do not worry - 9 days overdue is the magic number for HB's - me and Monkey were 9 days over!!!

Congrats to all new mums and real life babies - LLPJ, Yorky, and Monkey. Sorry if I have forgotten anyone - trying to write this while my LO has a nap whilst at the same time praying he doesn't wake up!!

Anyone seen that Friends episode with Phoebes brother and the triplets in the coffee shop, where the triplets are sleeping and he kisses them and says they are lovely but then they start to stir and he says "shit, shit, don't wake up". It is SO like that!!!!

Heartmum2Jamie · 20/11/2008 12:25

DW, I was also 9 days over and mostly a homebirth, lol

Choc, you are so right, I often mutter under my breath "please stay asleep", normally when I want to eat, make a cuppa or need a wee.

twinkle183 · 20/11/2008 12:27

ChocOrange05 I love that episode and the fact that he tries to off load one on to phoebe but can't choose!!! lol

Thanks for all the positive comments about the tightenings will let you know whether there has been any progress when I get back...

thedrswife am sorry your pains have subsided but I am sure they will be back soon - have my fingers, toes and everything crossed for you!!! Oh by the way thanks for being my text buddy!!!

Oblomov thanks for the offer of being a text budding also...

Right better go....

dyerlou · 20/11/2008 12:30

BARB thanks am popping to the loo every five minuets to check on progress. still losing mucus! not sure what to do lots of walking or lots of resting! have ds home from school with tonsilitis so maby rest? friends and family driving me mad with constant "are you in labour yet?" calls I bloody wish!

ChocOrange05 · 20/11/2008 13:20

dyerlou tell them all to p* off - or you won't tell them when you are . Thats what I did with my lot - it is so annoying and I feel for you but fear not, baby has to come out at some time!!

Tinkerisdead · 20/11/2008 13:25

i had all those messages, i changed answerphone saying if your calling on news of baby, there is none, sure you can appreciate we are resting ready for d day and we will let you all know. On texts messages i send this blunt response everytime saying, blood pressure still high, still monitored, no news xxx people realise they are being fobbed off with a standard message and leave me alone for a bit. the only person i indulge with detail is my own mother.

dyerlou · 20/11/2008 13:57

you're right! still he will come out one day soon I suppose! Think I'll do the answer phone thing give em all a shock! and me a giggle!

reluctantincubator · 20/11/2008 14:00

I have decided at the last minute to attend a ball three hours from home on Saturday - hah, if that doesn't get this baby moving nothing will! (though am not actually due til a week tomorrow anyway).

Off for MW appt now. Sending cx vibes to those of you waiting. Doc's wife - what about bouncing on the old exercise ball? Isn't that supposed to help the cx come on? Or there's always the dreaded raspberry leaf tea!

saw MW this morning, am 3-4cm dilated and babys head is finally engaged!

Tinkerisdead · 20/11/2008 16:52

Good luck choco ive had period pains and back ache this afternoon but nothing worth noting. Dh is dying on the sofa. I decided that baby is coming on saturday, im gonna niggle all night, and tomorrow and then my baby is coming on saturday on a cold and frosty morning!

reluctant ive bounced on ball, taken raspberry leaf for 4 weeks, had evening primrose orally and up my fanjo, had three attempts at a sweep, had a hindwater leak, had sex which caused a bloody show 5 days ago, ive tried homepathic remedies like callopyllum, eaten pineapple...it dont wanna come out! the curry was a flop and i havent tried the clary sage....im telling you its a fibroid in there..

barbareebaa · 20/11/2008 18:20

Well me and dh went out for a walk, tried stomping about, walked as quickly as I could(so not very quickly in reality).
NADA
My sister phoned and said I must be the size of an elephant.
My brother phoned and asked if I planned to keep the baby in until puberty

9 days overdue Drswife I feel your pain
