Lets see if these overdue babies get a move on!

Hi everyone, just letting you know that baby Amy Marie arrived at 1.30am on the 13th of November. She is absolutely beautiful and her big sister adores her. Weighing in at 7lb17oz she was nearly 2lb bigger than dd1.

After all the misery of the last few weeks she arrived in record time. In fact we barely made it to the hospital. Started with a few minor pains at 11pm but had these in the last couple of weeks so wanted to be sure. Pains suddenly got stronger and closer together so we left for the hospital at 12.15. Things got pretty scarey in the car as pains got to 3mins apart very quickly. Arrived at the hospital 8cm dilated, the midwife broke my waters and Amy arrived after 3 pushes. Had one little stitch where she scratched me with her hand on the way out.

Unfortunately my blood pressure issues are not resolved so had to stay in hospital til yesterday. So happy to be home now, getting settled in. Looking forward to catching up with everyone soon.

Quick update from me - MW came earlier, was 3cm dilated at 12:30pm - she seemed please with progress given that 2 days before the head was still floating high. She's coming back at 4pm and hopefully there will be a little monkey later tonight!
Just been for walk with dog and DH - ctx def getting closer together and more intense but trusty TENS machine doing the job!

Good Luck to sparkletoes and monkeyM MonkeyM sounds like a long haul for you lovely. I hope you are managing to get some rest to conserve your energy for the pushing bit!

Morning all - I think your right can't be many of us left!!

Still no news here so am off for a beautiful massage later - hoping the reflexology will get things moving espcially as the curry last night didn't work! Have a real urge to clean today though so hopefully some energetic hoovering will get things going!!!

Any news from Sparkle or Monkey yet - lets hope they are holding there beautiful babies and things went smoothly for them both!!!

Morning all, just checking for baby news, lovely photos saurus. Congrats to suiledon and amy, havent missed any more have i?

i had my third sweep on saturday, then i went for a five hour walk, then i came home and decided sod the sex ban, i'll let dh try his own sweep. then i started bleeding!!!
had to call the midwife and i said i wasnt worried as it was probably a show but as blood pressure is high im at risk of an abruption so thought i'd better check. so she says is the blood mixed with anything?
"errmmm sperm??!" cringe cringe cringe

she said, "oh right i see, well do yourself a favour and lie with your legs in the air and at least keep it on your cervix"

and still no baby!! this just isnt fair you know, so who's left with me twinkle and ceebee?...where is that pending and produced list??!!!

Am 6 days over now and no signs that this l.o. is planning to vacate any time soon Holding on to what daisy said about 90% of women (women obviously!!) have their babies within 10 days of their due date. So that would mean around Friday for me (or before )

If not, in to be induced saturday.

But PMA This time next week I will more than likely be a mummy!!

Still no news? I was trying to distract myself from the still waiting for baby by thinking of other peoples exiting news and we're waiting for that! very inconsiderate if you ask me! Took DS swimming yesterday in local pool with wave machine and sat in shallows like a weeble doll, then did some proper swimming and no change. Seriously considering asking for sweep at next MW appt on Weds
Just done shopping and bought a pineapple - but not 7!
