Good luck Monkey Hope the fact that you haven't posted in the past couple of hours means that things are happening! Look forward to hearing all about MiniMonkey's arrival soon.
Congratulations to Roca - what a lovely name
Good luck to everyone else waiting for their babies!

LackaDAISYcal · 15/11/2008 21:15

Sending lots of lovely labour vibes to MonkeyM......hope she isn't too far from cuddling her LO

ceebee, we have only used the P&T in doubles mode once but I love it already. It is so easy to push and the baby is sooooo snuggly in the cocoon. I went for black, but in hindsight wish I had got the red. It is quite dark underneath. Our cocoon, which is on loan from a friend, is red though so it brightens things up a little.

Who was it who's had a show? I can't remember anything!

Just watching outnumbered on BBC1; it's bloody hilarious

ceebee74 · 15/11/2008 21:48

Dozy/Pinky thanks for the advice and words of wisdom about elcs - I am hoping it will be a positive experience and the MW has said they discharge you after 2 nights if everything is ok so I am hoping I will be home by Saturday night. Also, DH will be at home for at least 18 days afterwards (longer if he can swing 'working from home' with his boss ) by which time I hope I am pretty much back to normal.

The main reason I wanted a P&T was the cocoon as it will be so much easier walking DS to nursery - when we get there, instead of having to struggle getting the pram in/lifting baby out whilst I get DS settled, I can just lift the cocoon out and carry the baby in without disturbing him so much - SO much easier!!

I am hoping no news is good news from Monkey and that labour is in full swing although she has just done a Scrabble move 37 minutes ago

Sparks was thinking (as you do) as we live parallel lives, maybe your baby will be born on Thursday aswell - not that I am wishing you to hang on till then of course!!

LackaDAISYcal · 15/11/2008 21:53

lol at MonkeyM still making scrabble moves! I was the same when I was in labour!

ruthosaurus · 15/11/2008 22:01

Hi all, really really really sorry not to have popped in to MN at all this last week, it's been a bit intense.

Mostly it is because I cannot sit down at all...

I have another baby announcement!

Mum2becks:

"Isaac Jacob arrived 3.36pm weighing 9lb 6.5 oz and looks just like his big sister! Long birth story, will update when back home but nearly ended up with emergency cs and lost 2 litres of blood! Isaac is fine just mummy that suffered! Hope everyone else is okay xxx"

What a trooper, loads of love to her and family and hope she is getting really well looked after! She's in the same hospital I was in so I'm sure she is in really good hands.

I am guessing by the couple of posts above that MM has gone into labour. All the best, hon, I'm thinking of you xxx

Love to everyone and I am rooting for you.

PS Couple of photos on my profile now, just got time the other day to upload v briefly.

ceebee74 · 15/11/2008 22:04

Mum2becks woohoo, what fab news for a Saturday night Love love love the name Isaac and what a big boy?? Glad everything seems to be ok with them

Saurus lovely to hear from you and those photos are fab - Finlay is such a cutie!! I do miss you and your postings - can't wait to get on the PN thread and catch up

LackaDAISYcal · 15/11/2008 22:11

Congratulations to Mum2becks and welcome to Isaac; another fantastic November name choice . I hope she is doing OK after what sounds like a bit of a trauma.

Rutho, lovely to hear from you and I hope things are going well.

I've just spoken to MonkeyM on facebook......ctx 5 mins apart and she is going to call the MW after the X-factor results....WooHooo

Why do babies like the weekends so much?

sparkletoes · 15/11/2008 22:23

Firstly waves to Ruthy has been quiet without you on here, hope all is well! You will be able to sit again soon don't worry! Have you tried arnica tablets?

CONGRATS to Mum2backs YAY another baby!! Another great name and what a good weight!!!

Ceebs so funny you should say that as I also think this one may come on Thu! My wacky reasoning is that I was born on 26th month and so was DS. My younger sister was born on 20th so this one may come on that date too !!! Either that or it will come on a Mon as both my sister and I were born on Mondays!!. Have I got too much time on my hands or what!!

Daisy it was I that had the show but nothing since... (and probably just as well really!)

Ok to my baby - I have your cardie packed, milk in production and you now have a groovy buggy on order so whenever you are ready....!!!!

Congrats to Mum2Becks and MonkeyM - it's very exciting to know you're in labour right now!!!!

Thank you for all your support - you make me cry reading your messages!!! Someone slap my face and tell me to get a grip!!!

Pinky - I might need that thread, can you send post the link?

I will continue to moan on the post natal thread as I mustn't take the limelight from you brave ladies who are still waiting!!

LadyBuzz - the nappy wrapper refill arrived yesterday - thank you soooooo much, it's so kind of you.

Hanaflower - I was reading through the last thread, after I'd gone to hospital, yes, it was St Mary's. I take it you're Chichester way if you're at St Richards? I have a friend who's a nurse there - she's not a MW or in maternity though.

Pinkyminkee · 15/11/2008 23:33

congratulations, Mum2becks lovely name, wishing you a speedy recovery.x

ChocOrange05 · 16/11/2008 09:24

No news???? DH is waiting for me downstairs with a cup of tea but I just had to check in here first...... I am so unimpatient and its not even me having the baby this time!!

Go Monkey and sparkle!!!

MonkeyMargot · 16/11/2008 09:42

Morning!
Congrats M2Becks - such a cool name!
No baby monkey yet...MW didn't come out, advised me to call her when I really couldn't manage the pain. DH went to bed at midnight (I tried but ctx too painful) so went back downstairs and started using TENS machine which really helped. Ctx still v.regular and consistent, but manageable with TENS.
Went back to bed at 5am, and did manage some light sleep on and off (kept TENS on full blast!).
Ctx still every 5 mins and lasting a minute. Will call MW when I feel I can't cope with them anymore.
Good luck to Sparkle for today!!!!!!!

chocolategal · 16/11/2008 09:44
