Just seeing if we can get the ball rolling. I'm in N1 and am free most mornings till about 12, and most afternoons except Fridays from about 3.30, though these times can be shifted a bit.

Everyone else: times, places?

Seems a shame to split up. Wonder if we should change venue?

That's fine - I can't come as in-laws confirmed Sat is the day they can make (and it's father's day on Sun, so I don't think dh wants to be driving us all to Oxfordshire...) Have fun!

LadyLazarus · 23/05/2005 20:44

maybe we should just do lunch then? and do pedicures again in july??

franch · 23/05/2005 20:56

That's a shame andif. Will have to meet you in Kingston then!

So now it's:

franch
KF
LadyL
Katts
Boompi
VF

LadyL, yes you're probably right about missing out the feet this time. Sorry didn't get round to booking the lunch today (DD not well so a bit distracted) but will do so asap.

Have cancelled nail appt. Pity but maybe next time.

Kiwifruit · 25/05/2005 14:05

Will have to meet again in July and do pedicures then... What a shame

andif · 25/05/2005 17:25

Why don't you draw lots to see who gets feet done, and the others just sit and natter? The situation will be just as bad in July as those wanting to meet up seem to be growing (in numbers as well as size!!!) Just an idea. Maybe you could all do each others' toes in the restaurant instead.......

franch · 25/05/2005 19:04

Like your 2nd idea andif

Maybe we just need to find somewhere else to go/something else to do for our next (very) few meet-ups? More of a 'bonding' experience if it's something we can all do together

Don't know why I'm so concerned, as I can't even make it, but what about nails inc? There's one in Top Shop at Oxford Circus (for materrnity clothes too...) one in Fenwicks..there are loads. They can normally do at least 5 at a time, from experience of my local one. Worth a try?

franch · 01/06/2005 07:59

Anyone got any thoughts on this? I was going to book Eat & 2 Veg today but am happy to research eating places near a branch of Nails Inc instead.

I am easy Franch - a pedicure would be great. Do we know if Nails inc can do 5 of us simultaneously?

franch · 01/06/2005 08:41

No, don't know. Fancy giving them a call?

Boompi · 01/06/2005 15:41

Nails inc in Fenwick dont do pedis. The one in South Molton Strret says we can have 5 but it will be 2 downstairs, 2 upstairs and someone on a stool - only have 4 pedi chairs. Dont think this sounds great - what do others think?

Kiwifruit · 01/06/2005 16:12

Hi Ladies

Just called New York Nails at 21 Kensington High St, and they can do 4 pedicures at 2:30 on the 11th of June and 2 manicures. Have provisionally booked all 4 pedicures, because when I called they said they could do 6 - called them back to find out if we would all be sitting together, and she realised she only had 4 chairs...??? But, she can do 2 manicures at the same time, and we would apparently all be together, as the manicures are in the middle of the pedicure chairs. What does everyone think? I can't do manicure as I chew my nails - not very motherly, so must stop...

Let me know if High St Ken is any good and if you think manicures will be OK too - can always call and cancel them.

Boompi · 02/06/2005 00:08

Well done KF. Ken High Street ok with me. I would choose a pedi over a manicure as hate having painted fingernails but guess drawing straws may be option?

Kiwifruit · 03/06/2005 09:04

BUMP - anyone want to confirm High St Ken (see below...), or shall we look at other options??

franch · 03/06/2005 11:40

Hi St Ken fine for me - I'll look into restaurants nearby. Would prefer a pedicure but happy to draw straws or whatever - as long as we're all 'done' at the same time I think it'll be fine.

Are we all on for High St Ken for Saturday at 2:30? There are 4 pedicures booked, and we need to book 1 manicure. Don't know how good of a job I did at explaining the booking thing to the woman on the phone, but they are booked under Catherine again, and if you could call and put your name against one of the 3 remaining appointments (sorry, I don't have any fingernails to be manicured, otherwise I would be on for that), or book a manicure for the same time, that would be great. Just report back on this thread so we can keep track of what appointments are left.

Anyone got any suggestions for lunch?

Boompi · 06/06/2005 11:28

KF - do you have phone details to hand? There is a high st Ken and Ken Church st branch.

Kiwifruit · 06/06/2005 11:29

Oops, sorry, preggy moment - the other purpose of my last post was to include the phone number !!

It's 0207 938 3456, address is 21 Kensington High St.

Boompi · 06/06/2005 11:34

Very confused preggie brain now - Are we doing 11th or 18th? I thought it was 18th. NYN has booking for 11th.
Help!!

Kiwifruit · 06/06/2005 11:41

No, think that was my preggie brain - had it in my head that it was the 11th. Is it the 18th? Let me know and I'll call and change it. Doh.

Kiwifruit · 06/06/2005 11:42

Just scrolled down and saw it was the 18th - will call and change booking. Sorry Ladies, my brain is mush.

Kiwifruit · 06/06/2005 11:47

OK, now have 5 pedicures booked on the 18th at 2pm. However, I would hold off calling to confirm until this afternoon, as the woman I spoke to had less than perfect English, and I'm not convinced that she completely understood what I was saying . Am a little suspiscious of the 5 pedicures, as was told for the 11th that they could only do 2 at a time, however the woman I just spoke to assures me that they can do 5 [very confused emotion]...

Boompi · 06/06/2005 11:48

My brain too - so no prob. They do have space on 18th. Please can you put me down for a pedi if you get this message.
Thanks!
