Just seeing if we can get the ball rolling. I'm in N1 and am free most mornings till about 12, and most afternoons except Fridays from about 3.30, though these times can be shifted a bit.

Everyone else: times, places?

I'm in Kingston, so central London would be good (I think there are others south as well) At the risk of sounding like a complete lady of leisure (not, honest!) I am pretty flexible day wise, although after Easter holidays please. Lunchtime probably easiest.
I'm sure dh will think I'm mad, he doesn't really understand the whole MN thing at all! I must say I quite like the anonymity of being to say what I like to total strangers, but it would be fun to put faces to names!

andif · 11/03/2005 11:12

Whoops! Blown my alias! Oh dear, maybe we shouldn't meet up, I might have upset someone already!!!

franch · 11/03/2005 11:20

So andif = alfie05? I had 2 diff nicknames till recently but it was all too much hassle ....

Lunchtimes a bit tricky for me as DD sleeps about 1-3pm, but I could try shifting things round a bit.

Any ideas for C London venues?

What about meet for coffee then, and on to lunch if it's a success. I have to be back for school time usually, but can always send them out to tea with friends!
No ideas for location in particular - depends if lots of toddlers etc in which case those mums probably know where they'll feel most comfortable!

franch · 11/03/2005 13:25

Sounds good. Let's see if anyone else is going to join us! LadyL, are you going to be brave?

VirtualFairy · 11/03/2005 13:57

ill be brave, im in w london so central sounds good. best days are thursdays as have time off but can be quite flexible as im a lazy student- well only lazy since i became pregnant- maybe i should say tired student lol.

milward · 11/03/2005 14:12

Can't make it to London - but have a super time all.

Kiwifruit · 11/03/2005 14:28

Would love to meet up, but I'm working full time , so a bit constrained as to when. However, lunch in Covent Garden would be good, as I work around there. Otherwise, can do evenings or weekends anywhere in Cenral London.

LadyLazarus · 11/03/2005 17:49

I am here! Yes if I have a day off (which is not very often at the minute!!) I will definitely come... if not, maybe we can meet up as well later on, and hopefully I will have left work by then (only 3 months to go yay!)... I live in NW London, near Kilburn / Maida Vale, but anywhere fairly central is good for me...

andif · 12/03/2005 14:41

Did someone say evenings!!!? I admire your energy levels

ragtaggle · 12/03/2005 14:45

I'm in Islington and free on Fridays only as I work the rest of the week. Can do Covent Garden but will have a toddler in tow. Are there any child friendly places there?

cori · 13/03/2005 10:57

I am in Harrow, I can meet in central london on Monday or Tuesday- am due in Oct by the way

Boompi · 19/03/2005 06:58

Hi - i would be up for a central london meet. live in N6. I work full time but could poss do a thurs or Fri lunch time and make up the time on the weekend.

Sallie · 21/03/2005 12:32

I work 4 days a week in the City (near Liverpool St Station). Only get an hour for lunch so if the meet was close by could make it and would love to meet you all...

beachyhead · 22/03/2005 19:31

Sallie - you should come along to our City lunches - they are near Liverpool st station and I'm due in August!!!!

BunInTum · 22/03/2005 22:53

Hello all, I'm near Harrow and can make Central/West End pretty much any day. Maybe we should have a great big preggers feast?!!

Sallie · 24/03/2005 13:22

beachyhead
Would love to - when is the next one?

cori · 03/04/2005 10:30

Bunin tum, When are you due?
I nr harrow too.

andif · 04/04/2005 16:30

Would it be too controversial to suggest Sat meet up (as I type this, I think of Dh's face if I tell him this.....?) Might solve prob of everyone working different days, and it could be a child-free treat for those SAHMs who don't want to upset sleep times etc. Just a thought. At this rate it will be August by the time we agree a day/time! (or are we all too apathetic to suggest one!!)

andif · 04/04/2005 16:33

We could make it a real treat and go to a spa or something.......! (Just thinking of ways to break ice without alcohol....OMG am I sad?!!)

franch · 04/04/2005 18:24

I'd be up for a Saturday spa treat andif!

OP posts:
Boompi · 04/04/2005 18:57

I am happy to do a sat and spa or most other things.

blossom2 · 04/04/2005 19:13

Would love to meet up with everyone if the date is right ....

LadyLazarus · 05/04/2005 08:47

Ooh Saturday spa treat sounds fab!! [thinks: as long as it's not TOO pricey!]

cori · 05/04/2005 09:58

I like the sound of a Saturday spa too.
