Just seeing if we can get the ball rolling. I'm in N1 and am free most mornings till about 12, and most afternoons except Fridays from about 3.30, though these times can be shifted a bit.

Everyone else: times, places?

Mrs Indecisive here (would have been a good MN name for me!!)
Having 2nd thoughts about spa - feels a bit intimate for meeting with near strangers - more like a best friends thing!! Although as everyone sounds positive about it......Oh I don't know, someone make a decision for me......!!!!! How much can you chat over a facial anyway....mmm

Kiwifruit · 05/04/2005 11:33

Saturday would be perfect - spa would be fun. Wonder if a nail bar where you can have a 'group pedicure' would be better, as think you might be right about it being difficult to chat during a facial andif!

andif · 05/04/2005 12:04

Excellent idea - cheaper too. Book it!!!!!

franch · 05/04/2005 15:51

Genius, Kiwifruit. Anyone know where we could do this? If not I'll start a thread - someone on MN will know

Have absolutely no idea where we might be able to do this - will do a bit of research...

franch · 05/04/2005 15:55

Brilliant. I've started a thread to ask the collective MN knowledge bank too

Am up for this. Keep us posted.

andif · 05/04/2005 17:17

Surely Selfridges must have a nail bar - we could then do a trip round the nursery dept to coo at trendy new equipment (yes, sad I know, but I am getting excited now!) and have lunch too. They do have a nursery dept I assume?

andif · 05/04/2005 17:48

OMG, am I out of date - they don't seem to have a nursery dept, so that's the end of that idea. Think their website is useless actually

Boompi · 05/04/2005 19:16

Absolutely love idea of pedicure. Just looking at my feet today at work. Embarrassing post winter toes! That Upper st place sounds great too just for my future reference.

franch · 05/04/2005 19:25

This discussion is kind of split between here and the pedicure thread but we have plenty of options. The question is, what's the best kind of place? I like the Selfridges idea actually - central and good for lunch & shopping - they do have (expensive) baby clothes, if not equipment

Right, here goes, I'm going to be decisive and suggest a date, as we're quite busy at weekends for the next couple of months (more the kids' social lives than ours, to be honest!..)
How about SAT 14TH MAY? Venue to be confirmed!!

franch · 05/04/2005 19:32

Hooray for andif! 14 May suits me fine

The 14th is fine by me.
Is the week after we come home from Eurodisney so will probably need a relaxing spa day by then.

Kiwifruit · 05/04/2005 22:29

14th of May sounds great, and Selfridges is a good location as nice and central. Good time to get those tootsies ready for summer sandals

ragtaggle · 06/04/2005 11:23

I'm on holiday until the 15th! Let me know about the next one...

franch · 06/04/2005 19:06

Looks like there's a QuickBliss 'service station' at Selfridges - couldn't find anything on the Selfridges site but details of manicures etc. here . Cheapest £20.

Oh - and also a Nail Haven - cheapest £10.

Kiwifruit · 06/04/2005 21:02

The pedicures at Nail Haven sound good...

Boompi · 07/04/2005 09:08

14th May sounds good to me. Will pencil it in diary. Nail Haven sounds lovely - just coz they describe detail I guess. Want one now!

andif · 07/04/2005 11:25

My feet need NailHaven - do we know if they can cope with a group?

LadyLazarus · 09/04/2005 09:58

Ooh pedicure sounds a lovely idea, and maybe more appropriate for a first time meet! I am free the 14th May

franch · 22/04/2005 13:47

Are we still on for this?

OP posts:
Boompi · 23/04/2005 09:48

I am!

andif · 23/04/2005 13:54

Think so.

franch · 25/04/2005 14:15

Fancy booking it, andif?
