Just seeing if we can get the ball rolling. I'm in N1 and am free most mornings till about 12, and most afternoons except Fridays from about 3.30, though these times can be shifted a bit.

Everyone else: times, places?

Ooh bad news for the flip-flop wearers on Saturday... the forecast is cold and rainy

Kiwifruit · 12/05/2005 17:44

Pooh

LadyLazarus · 13/05/2005 14:33

Ooh ok weather forecast has changed now, to just cloudy see you all tomorrow!

andif · 13/05/2005 14:44

What a thought - 6 preg women waddling down street with flip flops and blue feet...!

franch · 13/05/2005 17:45

Agh - 2 potential problems for me tomorrow: DH is now on call (hopefully OK, but I may have to rush home to DD if he gets called out); and we have no hot water! It went off this morning and British Gas aren't coming till tomorrow (8am-1pm) - if they come early I'll be fine, but if not I can't quite see myself coming out to meet you lot and have a pedicure without having had a shower or washed my hair for 48h (ew!).

I'm trusting that everything's going to work itself out but am emailing this to you all just in case and will text at least one of you in the morning if I really can't make it. Fingers crossed!!!

Well here I am, stuck at home still waiting for the bloody gas man - said they'd come between 8 and 1 - it's now nearly 2 and no sign. Plus DH has had to abandon me to go to work - someone has stuck a screwdriver in their eye (or someone else's eye, I don't know).

Hope you're all having a fabulous time (sniff). Apologies to andif for inundating you with zillions of texts while I tried to get my poor pregnant head round all the obstacles in the way of my fun this morning Please please please can we arrange to meet up again soon, please?

I'm back! So sorry you couldn't make it Franch. It was lovely to meet you all in person, and yes we should definitely do it again sometime (with Franch this time!!). My feet have never looked so nice

franch · 15/05/2005 21:46

Right! A couple of people have mentioned doing it all again in a month or so, so - shall we arrange to do the exactly the same thing? And whatever we do, what would be a good date? Another Saturday? How about 11/18 June?

OP posts:
Boompi · 16/05/2005 07:55

I am up for it. The 18th would be great for me. I am doing a 10km sponsored walk (!) on the 12th and have my cousin and two friens from out of London staying with me on that weekend. It is poss but the 18th would be better!

Kiwifruit · 16/05/2005 09:28

Would love to do it again, but I'm going to be on holiday from the 11th - 18th (at least that's when we plan to go, haven't booked yet, but I think it's the only time in June we can go...). The following weekend I'm supposed to be going to France, so think June is out for me - will have to catch you all at the July event!

andif · 16/05/2005 10:31

Love to do it again. Only Sats I can make in near future are 25 June or 16 July!! Makes D Day seem quite close really!!

Boompi · 16/05/2005 11:28

I can do both 25th June and 16th July at the moment.

Kiwifruit · 16/05/2005 11:33

Can do the 16th July...

franch · 16/05/2005 14:16

KF, I assume you can't make 25 June? We're off to the States 16-23 July and it would be nice to have a June meet, if only to make me feel less left out - maybe those of us who can could meet on 25 June, and then you can have another meet-up when I'm away in July?

Then another one in Aug of course!!

OP posts:
Kiwifruit · 16/05/2005 14:21

Franch - am in the middle of trying to decide if I should go to France with a girlfriend on the w/end of the 23rd. Have to decide by tonight and preggy brain is making me very indecisive! Think you should have the meet up then, we can have another one in July, and one in August... We'll be really entertaining to the staff by then - they thought it was rather entertaining having 4 pregnant women lined up for pedicures on Saturday!

Do you need to get a note from your GP to fly to the States in July? Have you done that before, and has it been a problem? Just wondering in case we decide to book a late weekend away...

franch · 16/05/2005 14:25

OK, let's go for 25 June as our next one if everyone's OK with that. Hope you can make it KF.

Yes I will need a dr's note to travel at 33 weeks - can't get insurance to cover pg-related issues either, which is a bit scary (most policies go up to 32w), but DD has been asked to be flowergirl at a wedding and I can't bear to say no. DH is a medic so hopefully I'll be in good hands .....

Boompi · 16/05/2005 14:49

Just told about an open day at the nursery we may use next year on the 25th June. But it starts at 11am so I should be able to get to Baker Street by 13h00 - 13h30 or so.

VirtualFairy · 16/05/2005 17:07

aww - i missed all the planning, been feeling poorly. i can't make 25th june i have a wedding to go to. well will just have to make next one.

VirtualFairy · 16/05/2005 17:13

maybe i will be brave enough and get nails done next time, by that time i doubt i will be able to reach that far just to cut them lol

andif · 16/05/2005 17:59

Please don't feel you have to do 25 June just for me - if there's a date in June more people can make, then I'll just be happy with July. Dh will probably moan about being left with the boys for another Saturday anyway (just wait until it's 3 - anyone on for an October meet...!!!?)

franch · 16/05/2005 20:01

VF, are you free on 11 or 18 June? If so, is the following correct for everyone?

11th: Boompi, VF, franch (not ideal for B)
18th: Boompi, VF, franch
25th: Boompi, andif, KF?, franch

So: depending on what LadyL's availability is (and of course anyone else who wants to join in), looks like you might have the casting vote KF!
