mum2becks · 04/11/2008 16:16

sorry my spelling is terrible should be "I dont want to wake her as enjoy the peace & quiet

ruthosaurus · 04/11/2008 16:18

Good luck, Mummynic! Fingers and toes crossed for you insofar as I can with swelling!

Suddenly it's feeling like there are fewer of us on the pregnant team, no? Mum2, you getting any "signs" yet? I think my baby is hanging on for you out of politeness but I am trying to instil a competitive racing mindset in it... Either that, or it is far too like its dad and will do things by the book or not at all! DH is very literal minded and keeps saying "but your due date is 12th so it can't come before then".

ruthosaurus · 04/11/2008 16:20

Right, I'm off to the bathroom to get the henna out and have a nice long soak - I want to see at least five more birth announcements before I get towelled down, we clear? Good!

LackaDAISYcal · 04/11/2008 16:21

remind DH that its actually EDD rutho, the E being for estimated!!

DS2 keeps making noises in the crib and I have to do a double take as DH is in the kitchen with the other DCs.....then I remember I have a baby!!!

As if, with boulder like boobs and the world falling out of my arse I can really forget

And I have pimples.....not impressed!!

Heartmum2Jamie · 04/11/2008 16:22

Hugs Rutho. It IS knackering, mentally and physically. It is strange to think of them as being physically tiring as they don't hurt and aren't even really uncomfortable (that's just me though, can happily labour away until transition and barely bat an eyelid), but they are a tad annoying, plus it makes it sooo hard to know if they are real or not

ruthosaurus · 04/11/2008 16:28

Heartmum it's mainly the fact that they make me go off with the fairies while they're happening as well... I can't even be trusted to cook as I burn stuff and read recipes wrong... And you're right, they're painful not agonising - can't wait for that whole crowning "ring of fire" bit, though, that sounds wonderful. At least you get a baby after that, though!

Having said that, is it too late to change my mind? I don't think I;ve thought this whole parent thing through properly yet! Kidding. Mostly.

Lacks, you need to do a headcount before you leave anywhere! Including your SDH, they get easily distracted by branches of Currys...

Okay, I really am off to the tub now, it's just that getting the dye out is SUCH a foul job, even more so with a massive contracting bump! But I will be a flame-haired temptress once more when I've done it, and am going to get DH to do my toenails a suitably slutty colour as well to match. Or maybe gold, for a bit of November cheer!

Pinkyminkee · 04/11/2008 16:29

lol daisy now I did warn you all about the waterts breaking and the car seats, didn't I?

Mummynic thinking of you- good luck for this evening- sounds like you are being well looked after. give cyril a cuddle from us when he arrives!

Drswife you sil sounds luurvely i think i would be declining that invite,if i were you.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/11/2008 16:31

Oblomov · 04/11/2008 16:51

I mean that in a loving way.
That naughty body of yours, amking you think that it was imminent, or was that just me.
And DrsWife ?

Who is next on the due list ?
And who is going to surprise us ?

As daisy said, now come on you babies, come on out. we are well and truely in nov now. you are ALLOWED out, officially.

Oblomov · 04/11/2008 16:54

Where is Chocolategal ?
I need to keep track of her, becasue she is my text buddy.

And Hana - my birth twin - how are you doing my lovely ?

Who else ????
roll up, roll up, who needs a big hug/back rub/ big 'uggle. I am here, available, for all of those things, to all those in need.

Heartmum2Jamie · 04/11/2008 17:05

I need something Obs, but I think it might be more along the lines of a rocket up my fanjo to get this stubborn lump of mine to move. Maybe he just really, really wants to be a firework baby??! Can't believe I will be 41 weeks tomorrow. Can I cry now?!

Pinkyminkee · 04/11/2008 17:13

ok ok we have evening pimrose oil, garlic and rlt and some dubious sounding milkshakes. I think fireworks may be a bit drastic, you may scare baby to the point he never wants to exit. Big hugs and warm baths all round.

Heartmum2Jamie · 04/11/2008 17:16

Bleurgh! I am drinking a double strength (read, 2 bagger) RLT. Gross! I hope it helps, lol!

Pinkyminkee · 04/11/2008 17:16

hana is my text buddy.I have given DH the job of makiing sure my phone is charged because I am rubbish at it..Iam taking my job here seriously and delegating wheree appropriate.I may have to take it off silent, though.

misdee · 04/11/2008 17:20

oh HM2J, i hope thiongs start for you soon. ui am planning on scaring little babydee out tomorrow with fireworks party lol.

LOL at anusol. I've suffered from the old Farmer Giles myself in the past - and every time I go to the chemist to procure said suppositories, I think to myself, why oh WHY couldn't the advertising company responsible for branding the damn product have come up with something less....onomatopoeiatic? I mean, c'mon ANUSol - why didn't they just call it ARSEHOLE? Or Sphincter-Ring. Honestly.....
Lacks your MIL sounds like a miserable old witch too. Glad you kept your cool though - yay! So funny that you momentarily forgot you had a baby!
Obs you sound much happier now. I'm due tomorrow - but if DH had his way, the bean would make it's appearance between the hours of 9-5pm on Saturday. Oh, but not whilst Southampton are live on Sky.
We're off out for dinner tonight. The MW told DH today to "spoil" me, so dinner out it is then. What to wear ??

ruthosaurus · 04/11/2008 17:35

Hi all, can I have that hug now please? I feel like I can't breathe cos my bump has gone so hard and I want to throw up!

Mind you, my hair does look lovely now.

(cut to bloke in pub saying "Dunno what women whinge about having babies for, now getting kicked in the nuts really hurts...")

Obs, from this you may have guessed that the whole "baby actually arriving" plan has not worked out quite the way I would have liked it to...

Hana, whose waters are breaking everywhere?

HM2J my PMA has gone out the window now, soz babes. Are you okay? Or do you want shooting in the head as well?

Misdee I am going to a firework display tomorrow as well! I am going to walk there so as to encourage downward progress and entirely hope my waters will break on the way back up the hill.

Heartmum2Jamie · 04/11/2008 17:46

Rutho, starting to feel that being knocked out with a frying pan would be better than this mental torture. Someone please wake me when it's the real deal!

ruthosaurus · 04/11/2008 17:47

Fuck yeah.
