LaTour - "just passing" whilst cooking tea and couldn't help but see your great news!
That's v v impressive and about time something went right for you. Am sooo pleased

Hello everyone else too!

On the subject of tea, DH finally admitted today that he's no good organising tea in the evenings so needs me to do it (why I don't know!) I've explained that it means he gets stuck with what I want to cook then! He wanted sausages today and I really can't face them so he's having to put up with tinned tomatoes with pasta, frozen peas and onions! Seem to be having a once a week of this Ses speciality since being pg!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/11/2008 20:01

I go off meat too ses- i love tinned plum tomatoes, petit pois, onions.... love pasta when pg too!! but i dont think i've ever eaten them all together!!

One thing i did make last week was chorizo sausage (dont know why but i can stand eating and cooking that!!) in pasta with a tin of chopped tomatoes... all mixed together and it was lovely!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 12/11/2008 20:10

Try them all together Glask! Yummy and quite healthy too!!
Am still eating a couple of satsumas every day too!

Saw a few old friends from a previous shop I worked in today as I popped in on them. Told them my news and they were so pleased. They'd had to put up with me earlier in the year through the mc stuff and both ops. Was great to give them some good news for a change!

Right, better go and check on that pasta!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/11/2008 20:25

well tea is in the oven... i put some garlic bread in too!!

I have wrapped 2 bin bags worth full of the kids xmas presents- and i still have about another 4 bin bags full and their big main presents!!! I dont think i realised until just tongiht JUST how much i've bought for them!! And the warpping doesn't include the see-saw, the playhouse, and the garden playgym!!

LaTourEiffel · 12/11/2008 21:24

NJ is OK and home, she's about to post...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/11/2008 21:32

Ok I am home, sorry for lack of texts, by the time I knew what was happening (so had any news) it was late and I didn't want to be waking mums kids up

Everything is OK, HB is fine, panicked a bit when it hit 180+ bpm but she said that was fine. BP is even lower than on Monday, so all is well. She said to carry on the kick chart, if we get another day where he hasn't moved I'll be packed off to the consultants.

Sorry haven't caught up properly, am shattered, about to shovel food in mouth eat something, and go to bed! Will catch up tomorrow xxx

LaTourEiffel · 12/11/2008 21:34

have some hugs from me

kayzisexpecting · 13/11/2008 07:36

Morning!

Nat, I'm so pleased they let you home and that everything is ok. Woke up for the toilet at 3 and laid in bed wondering how you were.

The cheque has cleared!!! I've just ordered the nappies. I feel like some kind of Green warrior or something!!! Now need to decide if I should get a feeding chair.

Hope everyone is ok!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 13/11/2008 07:43

Morning!

NJ - so pleased you're home and all is ok but that they seem to be taking you seriously.

Kay - yay for cheque

I've got to go to Hastings for work today. Not as big a journey as DH though who's going to Aberdeen for the day!!

kayzisexpecting · 13/11/2008 07:46

Aberdeen?? For a day????

Bet you are a happy bunny this morning after last nights football.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 13/11/2008 08:05

I know - Aberdeen is a bit mad. He works based at Heathrow so obviously is flying. He needs to go and look at a runway (how thrilling!!!?)

Last night's football was fantastic! We made Liverpool look a mess for most of the match! Just hope the run continues on Saturday as it looks like we're definitely going to be there

kayzisexpecting · 13/11/2008 08:12

Ooooh I am so jealous. I love planes and would love to work at an airport. I was going to be a trolley dolly but then I met DH.

I saw the first half and they were a lot better than Liverpool. As long as we don't get them in the next round.

GYo · 13/11/2008 08:16

Morning all

Wow lots has happened

Nat- glad you are ok all this in and out must be annoying but at least you know alls ok...

Latour- hurray for getting a date so soon. Heres to falling of thew wagon again really soon!

LB- sorry to hear that you are worried about the baby being big. Long way to go yet maybe things will even out before you get to the end?

Hi everyone else- Ses, Kay, Diege, Glask and Star (sure Ive missed people so sorry)

Went to antenatal yoga again last night- all good and she did some good pelvic floor exercises but i dont half ache this morning - kind of feel like I was going "at it" all night- when sadly I wasnt!!!

ho hum!

Diege · 13/11/2008 08:44

Morning! Phew glad things were OK NAT - really good to get things checked out though, even if it's a pain getting having to go in etc...
Great news on cheque clearing KAY - good on you with your nappies; will be interesting to see how you get on with them.
SES, ok I've kept quiet long enough...I am a Liverpool fan and I just have one thing to say...what's going on with your goalie??? . Great that you could give your friend's the good news - what a lovely moment for you all
GYO - yoga sounds great. Has so many benefits for labour/recovery and I'd love to do something similar. Class was closed by us due to lack of numbers, so we just have the old aqua natal that is ever so conveniently timetabled at same time as antenatal clinic . May try to get there a few times later on, though I do have a bit of a thing about swimming pools - all the plasters and hair and other people's wet footsteps...and you can never get dry...and you stink after...maybe I'll give it a miss
LATOUR that is brilliant news . It brought a tear to my eye to see your post and how happy you were. You deserve some good news at last and I predict 2009 will be your year
Well, waiting for midwife again , but hopefully today will be a go-er. dh has also been great re: sickness and has organised for childminder to pick up dds from school today and also tomorrow. He's also trying to work from home tomorrow so that he can take dd3 to her beloved Jo Jingles class. Just little things but really helps knowing I don't have the walk when my sickness is so unpredictable. I do have to venture out today to get dd2 some bits to go with her camera for birthday. but knowing I don't have to do school run on top makes that bearable!
Just have to find some clothes that fit as having a top button on jeans issue!
Sorry for the waffle!

tinkisexcitedabouthavingababy · 13/11/2008 08:49

morning

god i feel freezing?

glad all ok nat u take carex
lardy - guess u can only air your concerns to the midwife about size of baby and see what she says
latour that is great news not long till u can start trying
glas i did that one year dd was under age of 2 and i went mad must of had 30 odd pressies medium sized make sure i dont go mad anymore as dh was cross.

i feel tired this morning didnt even hear dh get up for dd @ 5am. i stayed up to late watched t.v.
i am 31 weeks today only 9 weeks left aaahhh
have midwife @ 3:30pm
off into town in a min posting my friends babys present and buying last of the xmas presents.
it is really dark here know it is expected to rain this aft when we have midwife

kayzisexpecting · 13/11/2008 08:53

I really want to go xmas shopping. MIL is having DS for the day so I'll have nothing to do. Might text my friend and see if she wants to go shopping today.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/11/2008 09:20

Morning

Kay, hoorah for cheque, good luck finding someone to go shopping with.

Diege, fingers crossed no other selfish bugger goes into labour today hey?! And good on DH!

Tink, it is dark cold and miserable here as well, and I have a trip into town and parents evening lined up for today - wonderful!

As for what's going on here, I've no bloody idea. No movements again this morning but he has all day to get his arse into gear! I think if he does stay quiet all day again, I might not go in tonight so it'll give him over night as well (obviously with careful dopplering going on!) if nothing then I'll go in tomorrow morning, if he does move then at least I'm not in there again

Heebeejeebee · 13/11/2008 09:24

Morning all - what a night!

NJ - glad you're home again and delighted to hear all is ok

LaTour - Fantastic news about your appointment!!!!! I'm so pleased for you..

Diege - fingers crossed the midwife turns up today and any other potential homebirths keep their legs crossed until she's been!

GYo - not sure if DH is trying to hint at something but the Davina pregnancy yoga dvd I bought last time was sitting on the side this morning...

Hello to everyone else - LB - hope the size issues sort themselves out, tink 31 weeks?!!

Starting to get nervous about my scan tomorrow....

Diege · 13/11/2008 09:39

KAY - nice decisions to have to make! Xmas shopping would be good before it gets too busy
NAT, do what you feel best, though please don't hesitate to go in if you feel you need to. Fingers crossed mr.laid back gets moving today!
HEEBS, it is entirely natural to be nervous about tomorrow, but remember that it is all looking good - hormone levels correspond to what the scan showed, plus your late ovulation. What time are you there tomorrow?
Have just has mega sick again, but managed to hold nose to stop coming out of there!!
It is a sign to me anyway to cancel acupuncture tonight and sat. I know it could well kick in later, but this is sickness peak I'm sure and if it gets worse than this I'll have to try medication I think. Will mention to midwife but in all honesty I get more intelligent responses from mumsnetters than her...I know that sounds harsh, but I've had same one 4 times now and I really feel like giving her a shake sometimes!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/11/2008 09:49

Heebee, echoing Diege really, nerves are normal, and more than to be expected. I am sure it will be fine after last week's results.

Diege for sickness, I think you've done well to get as far as you have with the accupuncture, I am one of those that'd have tried it once, and if it didn't completely cure everything I'd never have gone again! Fingers crossed your MW will take your history into account and sort the meds out for you ASAP.

kayzisexpecting · 13/11/2008 10:01

I think I might just do it all online. It'll be easier. Plus it'll stop me impulse buying.

But.......

I really want a Mcdonalds!!!! God I need to learn to drive!!!!!

kayzisexpecting · 13/11/2008 10:04

TYPICAL!!!!!!!

2 of the presents I want to get are out of stock and you can only get them online!!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 13/11/2008 10:35

Kayz- your making me want mcdonalds too!!- this pregnancy has me weak at any mention of food atm!!

Diege- sorry for sickness- i would honestly go and see your GP for some medication.... for mine to give me it he wanted to know if i was being sick more than 6 times a day.... and from now on in this pregnancy if i'm sick more than 6 times in 24hrs i have to go in for re-hydration....

HBJB- I'm sure all will be fine, you've had no bleeding since the last scan, all the signs were good then, dont worry yourself too much!! I'm sure all is well!!

Nat- glad you got home last night... and i was actually awake at the time you were on here posting that you'd come home!!

I was awake until about 10.30-11ish last night!!!! Watched step-brothers with DH, fell asleep about 10mins before the end tho. Only just woke up at 9am this morning, good job DS is still off with his cold and chesty cough or he'd have been late.

Diege · 13/11/2008 11:18

Well I'm on the medication. Midwife took one look and said the sickness couldn't go on at present level, esp with blood. Sorted out really easily with one call from her to GP, and prescription waiting for dh to collect. Feel relieved that I've been taken seriously .
Midwife also suggested possibility of home birth and am giving it some thought...Just concerned that I won't be able to cope with gas and air alone, but lots of time to think about it! Also booked in to see consultant regarding my paranoia about cervix, so all good!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 13/11/2008 11:26

Diege- trust me when i say it is easier to cope with the pain of labour within your own home!!!

When i had DS i basically led in a bed and did what they said to do... With DD I did what i wanted to do becasue i was in my natural environment... I actually used this PC chair to lean over and wiggle my hips while having contractions and it worked... i'd have never felt comfortable tryign out things to lean over in a hospital delivery room!! I also held onto the banniester on each side and would put one foot up and down the bottom step, i found doing this made me concentrate on my foot and not the pain...
