oooohhh heeb that sounds v promising. You always feel a bit 'wierd' the day or so before you go into labour......

spats - my bump hurt like that too!

Heebychick · 01/07/2009 20:59

Well my backache calmed down once i'd had a lie down and not having recognisable pains yet but still having lots of 'weird' ones, tight and sharp around the bottom of bump/pelvis.

My DD said last night 'baby's coming tomorrow mummy, I big sister tomorrow' .... spooky if she was right! she has a few hours left to be proved right!

I really hope it happens, it is soooo hot and sicky! My DH is of course not wanting it to happen till after gig on Friday! tee hee!

Watch this space huh x

nelix2000 · 02/07/2009 08:40

Any baby heeby???? wow its warm!!! I am melting

smileycat · 02/07/2009 09:00

Ohh Heeby sounds promising lets hope you DD is right & you get an early birth
No news from niece today, my mum said yesterday that she was going to get the hoover & suck him out if he didn't show up soon lol. I only have internet at work now as my boxes are on their way to UK so can only reply up to lunchtime so will let you know if I hear anything by then.
Spats my baby is head down & I get the same bruising pain lower down especially when I've been sitting down & then stand up I guess its the weight of her head pushing down after I stand up. If yours is breech it may be the same for you but in reverse.
I'm the same on the freebe stuff, I have been given a load of girl clothes which I guess won't fit for too long so if anyone is having a girl a couple of months after me you are very welcome to mine. I also still have 2 clearblue OPK kits & a couple of packs of conception vitimins if anyone is thinking of trying again soon

smileycat · 02/07/2009 10:33

They are going to break nieces waters at 7.30am on Sunday if she hasn't gone by then

Pezzina · 02/07/2009 12:10

Ooooh Heeby that does sound promising. We will all wait with baited breath till we hear from you xx

WanabeMum · 02/07/2009 12:45

Still no news from Heeby? Maybe she's in labour and too busy??? Hope all goes well if that's the case.

Sooo exciting! Can't wait till the day arrives for me. Never been particularly patient

Heebychick · 02/07/2009 14:15

Hello hello ,

Sadly no exciting story, DD was not quite right in her prediction sadly! I think she meant 'please can it come tomorrow mummy as i'm bored of waiting!' I had some low back pain this morning and still getting the tummy twinges but nothing more.

I shall be off the airwaves myself a bit over the weekend as i am staying at a friends tomorrow and then at a wedding on Saturday, so don't panic if i don't pop in to say hello!

Of course that all might go up in the air if baby comes ... gosh i hope so, this snail pace is awful but all i can muster in the heat.

I will be looking for help to bring on labour next week ok ladies!

Have a lovely weekend, a safe trip to smiley and chat soon.

xxx

Heebychick · 02/07/2009 14:16

ps i have just found out my friend is expecting twins! she was shocked but really pleased - very exciting!

spats · 02/07/2009 17:29

Glad everyone has had same pain , well not gald everyone is in pain, but you know what i mean!! Its so painful today taht when he kicks the bruising really hurts. Don't remember having it with other 2.

Heeby so close it must be frustrating.

Just realised haven't got Mat 1 B yet and work says if there is a delay mat pay may be delayed - oops must chase that up, don't want to lose money.

Goign to get ice lolly to cool down. xxx

funtimewincies · 02/07/2009 20:06

Hello and sorry, I have been checking up on everyone's progress, honest. Thanks for thinking of me Wanabe . Hoping for a speedy labour for you Heeby, I can't believe that you're nearly there!

Well, nothing really exciting to report at this end, which I'm pleased about I suppose, given how things have been in the past. We've been potty-training ds and he's now had 3 dry days .

My boobs are huge and I'm beginning to fear what they'll be like by the end. I only went from a 32FF to a 32G with ds, but I'm already a 30H and only 19 weeks !

I've felt a little bit of movement, but not as much as I'd like (to stop me worrying ) and unless I wear clothes that really cling, you wouldn't really know that I was pregnant. I WANT A PROPER BUMP (stamps foot in a tantrum).

smileycat · 03/07/2009 08:55

Dh phoned this morning & said that tenants have a sister in N Ireland who has a 2 bedroomed flat they can rent till they find somewhere to live, so feeling very happy that they are going to move out & I can now relax a little .
Heeby I saw my mw at my sons swimming class last night & told her about niece she gave me some tips to bring on labour for her so I tell you for next wk. She said a curry as hot as you can bare it, fresh pineapple, rasberry leaf tea, a bottle of red wine & a good session in bed with DH, she said it never fails
Funtime 19wks wow that has gone quick, you'll be as big as a house before you know it so don't wish for it too soon.
Good luck this wkend Heeby hope baby makes an appearance for you.
I will also be off line this wkend as I now don't have internet at home, will check in first thing Mon morning for all the news x

nelix2000 · 03/07/2009 08:55

funtime good to hear from you!!!my boobs are huge too they still have not settled back down really, going to get a decent nursing bra at the weekend to hold them in. ...we are toilet training DS to...how did you do it? mine is interested but holds in his wee until it really hurts then screams with distress when he finally goes on potty! has great control but hates it coming out!! You will get your proper bump soon

come on heeby

Hi ladies,

Well after a really busy weekend and lots of pains ..... nothing. TUT! I'm thinking of asking MW tomorrow if she'll do a sweep for me, although i'm only 39 weeks, i'm soooooo uncomfortable and my groin, pelvis, lower tummy are all so painful. I have been getting lots of practice ones, last night at the wedding i thought i was going to scream as i had a nasty pain but no, they fade.

I'm just hoping i don't have to stay in this much pain for another 2 weeks (which is when ELCS will be if no natural labour) i cannot understand how i can have such strong pains but they don't lead to anything.

As i've just typed this i have had 2 painful B-hix, grrrr (now i'm stamping my foot!).

Ho hum, i'll see what MW says tomorrow. in the meantime i shall get that curry on, wine out, pineapple for pud and an early night - it was the rumpy pumpy that worked last time so maybe i should give it a go!

So how was everyone's weekend? smiley so glad you have your home back and you can relax, phew! funtime you can share my bump if you like, i am sooo bored with it! (sorry baby xxx)

Heebychick · 05/07/2009 15:48

ps i even had a really bad tummy yesterday so thought 'hey here we go' hmmm.

smileycat · 06/07/2009 08:58

Yippie my niece finally had her baby yesterday. Joshua weighed in at 9lb 9 big boy, don't know all the details yet as my mums credit ran out during the phone call so will fine out some more today. She was due last Weds so a couple of days over, god I hope mine isn't as big as him, thats gotta have hurt some.
Heeby it does sound like your body is really gearing up for it, hopfully it will be very soon for you, they do say that your body has a big toilet clearout in preparation for labour
People keep telling me how 'neat' I look for 31wks, I'm glad I haven't put too much weight on with this one but I feel big myself & I know I still have a way to go & its sooooo hot here in the 30's every day I'm really starting to suffer with the heat, just hope I can hold on for another 4wks until I make the journey back to UK

Hope everyone else is ok this morning

WanabeMum · 06/07/2009 13:04

Hello everyone.

Heeby i'm so disappointed! Was expecting to come on here to see your little one had arrived. Sorry hun, sending labour vibes for you though. Good luck with the curry and early night plan, something my DH would gladly go for I'm sure!

Smiley i'm the same as you although 28 weeks today. Everyone says how small my bump is but when the midwife measured me i was smack on the line?! Still at least we haven't piled on the pounds, something that is a relief to me as I'd be useless at dieting post birth as have no willpower!

Glad to see you're ok funtime. 19 weeks!!!! Wow that has gone so fast it's unreal. Just you wait, my bump came out of nowhere around 22 weeks, went from hardly noticable to people saying"oooh you're obviously pregnant now, couldn't get away with it anymore".

My bump hurts lately too, probable where it is stretching to its limits! but I sneezed while writing this and it REALLY hurt my lower abdoomen. Granted was a fairly violent sneeze but still. owww! Getting to the "unable to sleep properly" stage now too. Tossed and turned all night last night, was too hot, had to get up to pee. Oh the many joys of being PG (although I wouldn't change a thing!)

Hope everyone else is ok xxxxxx

smileycat · 07/07/2009 08:43

My nieces birth went ok, she had a large bleed after the birth & had to get rushed in to get it sorted out, she came back in with drips & a catheter & may need a transfussion before she leaves the hospital, she is very teary this morning & just wants to go home but they need to make sure her kidneys are working properly before they let her go, poor thing.

Midwife appointment went well baby is measuring correctly for my dates so am happy about that & will just ignore the comments about my bump looking small, just means I wont have to work so hard after the birth to get the extra weight off. My blood pressure was a little low so they are going to take bloods & a new reading next wk to check all is well.
Does anyone else have capel tunnel syndrome.
Its where your fingers go really stiff esp in the mornings, my midwife said its because I'm quite fit (I wish) the excess fluid that we hold when we are pg is being kept in my joints & not in the skin so it makes them swell up, nothing they can do about it she just said to put them in ice water if they get too sore...thought I would share incase anyone else has the same symptoms

Heebychick · 07/07/2009 12:19

smiley that's great news about your niece being ok after the birth but sad that she had a few problems and has to stay in. It sounds as if it was scary for her poor thing. I remember having to stay an extra day and being told that once i'd packed up and got DD in car seat! It's awful when you just want to go home. Good luck to her and hopefully she won't have to have any more treatment and can come home soon.

I have CTS too! i started getting really painful pins and needles and thought it was just where the heat was swelling them but it has got worse and at night it's agony! i will remember the advice about ice, thanks for that!

Well i saw MW today and she refused to do a sweep as i'm only 39 weeks and baby is nowhere near engaged, altho it is head down which is good and of course second babies don't engage until late so lets hope it will soon. it is still back to back tho which isn't nice but i guess it can still move when it engages.

What was more of a worry was that i had a +4 glucose in my urine which is very high so they sent some bloods off for immediete checks and i will know more later today apparently. 3 weeks ago i was borderline with GD so i'm hoping i haven't tipped the limit with this.

The MW was awful ( a stand in one as mine away), she saw my glucose and asked what i'd eaten, so i told her (normal brekki etc) then she said in a really patronising voice 'are you sure you didn't sneak a choccy bar on the way in?' i felt like punching her on the nose

WanabeMum · 07/07/2009 14:01

Aww smiley your poor niece! how scarey for her, but how nice that the birth was the easy bit! Hope she comes home soon.

Heeby what a horrid MW!! I'd have been angry too. Did you say anything? Think i would have been tempted to patronise her back and ask her how old she thought I was needing to sneak a choccy bar before my appointment! Cheeky mare. She surely saw your history? Some people!

I'm sssssooooo tired today despite having a good night sleep. Sign of things to come no doubt! Oh well better be off.

TTFN xxxxxxxxx

Heebychick · 07/07/2009 21:06

wananbe i said back in the same patronising voice 'i think i would of remembered if i had' cheeky cow!

humph.

Sorry you are feeling tired, it's difficult to get comfty at night huh now.

I didn't hear back today so i'm hopeful that it was perhaps a sugar fuelled juice drink problem rather than anything more, fingers crossed!

Am tempted to book a private growth scan, they do them the next day here near us and it's £75. I'm now paranoid that babies head won't fit hence all the strong pains but not engaging?!!

nelix2000 · 08/07/2009 08:02

Hello everyone
smiley congratulations to your neice, it is horrible feeling forced to stay in hospital, poor her.

heeby I would have slapped the midwife if they had refused me a sweep! lol don't they know not to deny a pregnant woman anything?? I got one at 39 weeks with DS who was nowhere near engaged. I waited till 40 with DD. I was Offered one on my due date. Tell them you want one they should give it to you, or at least ask for an internal exam to feel your cervix and give you an idea if you are dilated, it is soft etc.....honeslty, your pregnancy, your body, your birth, push for what you want/need

Heebychick · 08/07/2009 12:16

Thanks so much nelix i feel more empowered now! i have left a message for my usual MW as she's back today so i shall talk to her about what happened, she's lovely and i am sure she will help me more than they would.

I have lots of pains today and i'm so uncomfortable it's unreal!

humph.

smileycat · 09/07/2009 08:15

Any news Heeby?????

Heebychick · 09/07/2009 09:44

Sadly no where near.

Humph.

Am bouncing on ball and trying everything (impatient soul!) but nothing.

So am not going to focus on it now, trying to fill my day with minor energy plans so i don't wake every morning for 2 weeks thinking 'today!'
