Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

welcome to the list naturopath!

NattyTomAndEllen · 09/11/2008 10:16

wolly, im sorry you had a hard day, its the same here if that helps, i have 2 kids aged 2 and 1, so i SO know what u mean!

Belgrano · 09/11/2008 12:49

Hi there
Can I join you? Had a BFP at 3 am this morning (I know, I should have been sleeping). Feeling shocked and delighted and also keep waiting for AF to get me. Would be due tomorrow so I am totally expecting it to arrive as it does every 4th Monday.
Having said that, now that I've had a BFP, I feel starving and a bit sick and a bit fatter in the tum - probably all in my head, specially since I have decided the only thing to cure it is choc digestives, which DH has now gone out in the rain to get. Bless.
Oh - almost forgot - due 21 July acc to Babycentre. I have one DD already, who is 20 mths.
Nice to meet you guys. Best of luck to all of us.

Hi I just wanted to say hi, I have just found out I'm about 5 weeks pregnant and due 10th july by my lmp. I have 2 boys and a girl who are 5, 2 and 1. I have had two missed miscarragies and one of which I lost July this year, which was twins and was horrible. I am so paranoid the same thing is going to happen again. Nice to come on here and talk to other people who have been in similar situations.

MamaMimi · 09/11/2008 23:34

After being on, and continuing to follow, the 'ttc for July' thread I just wanted to say how brilliant it is to see you on here Belgrano. Well done, I'm really chuffed for you.

My main symptom at the moment is sore/tender breasts and nipples.

I will probably try and see the doctor this week as I want to talk about having a nuchal scan and I will probably have to travel for one. I'm 37, not sure how old everyone is but is anyone else considering having one? Of course it could also be earlier than a regular 12 week scan.

scully · 10/11/2008 01:29

Know what you mean Lizzie, also feeling a tad paranoid after 2 m/c, hoping for 3rd time lucky
I'm planning on having a scan at 8wks, to give me some peace of mind. With my 2nd m/c I had my hcg levels monitored but though that showed there was a problem, nothing could be confirmed until a scan at 8wks, so figure I may as well skip the blood tests this time and just have the scan. Will definitely be having a nuchal scan as well, did for both my dd's as well, I was 31 when I had dd1 and it was offered to me at Chelsea and Westminster. That was in 2001 though so not sure if it is still routine.
This will be my first baby born in Australia, we moved back 2yrs ago, after 11yrs in the UK, both dd's were born in UK (C&W and Royal Surrey).
Like a few people have mentioned I'm expecting symptoms to kick in at around 7wks, tiredness/nausea etc. Managed to get through my first weekend of not drinking though

lizzie9442 · 10/11/2008 07:41

thanks for adding me to the list hope i will be on here for the next 35 weeks.
scully - I was thinking about having an early scan but don't know if it would help as I would still think something could go wrong before the 12 week scan. I think I am just going to hold out until 12 weeks, seems so far away!

Hows everyone feeling? Im SUPER moody, but thats about it for today. The cramping and twinges seem to have stopped and i have occasional waves of nausea, but thats about it (touch wood). In a way, i wish i was getting more symtoms just to know everythings ok. Im still feeling very apprehensive and although it was worth it to see the look of joy on my parents face when i told them, i kinda wish i hadnt till i knew everything was ok. Still - positive thinking.

Had my first doc's appointment - what a waste of time! They just told me to book an appointment with the midwife and take folic acid.

Hope everyones ok.

Saz x

funkybumps · 10/11/2008 13:09

hi, wow I hae a few days away and the thread has really expanded. Great to see all these shiny new BFP's. I notice someone has been incredibly organised and started a list so will add myself shortly x

OP posts:
Belgrano · 10/11/2008 13:16

Thank you so much Mamamimi, It's really great to see you and also the other fellow 'ttc July'-ers on here too!
I feel so lucky and excited and am enjoying this window of knowing and only being starving (a good thing in my book, since I like eating so much!) but not yet feeling rough as anything, which I probably will until well after Christmas if its anything like last time. But as you all said, I don't care if it means it's healthy in there.
Yay for summer babies!!!

Misspaella · 10/11/2008 13:38

Hi ladies...I am dipping my toe into this thread as just got BFP today. It's bubba no 3 for me!

Reckon I am about 5 weeks + 4 or so. I don't really "feel pregnant" bar being VERY tired and the odd wave of nausea.
Oh and of course, some hormonal episodes over the last week.

Hope my other half is not in for a bumpy ride.

muppetgirl · 10/11/2008 13:43

Hi all, I am still SOOOOO MOOOODY At the mo!

I am very tired by the end of the day and are going to bed around 9.30 ish. I am wishing my ds 2 (1) would get off his bottom and start to crawl or something as then I could get used to him walking and will maybe have a little more control when this lo is born!!!

I went to see the Dr today and asked about an elective -c-section and she has made a referral strongly suggesting I have one so I live in hope! ( ds 1 11 days overdue, induced, 27 hrs, he was distressed, ventouse tore. 9lb 1oz! Ds 2 spontaneous labour, failed epidural, he got stuck, forceps in theatre 3rd degree tear 9lb 15 1/2 oz!! I am 5' 2, size 8/10 and the dr said 3rd babies are bigger!) I know this isn't everyone's plan and some may disagree but I do seem to grow big babies I can't deliver so I think I'd like a c-section this time.

muppetgirl · 10/11/2008 13:58

Just re-read and that post sounds so dreadful! Just to say that my lovely friedn had a fantastic home birth last week and she loved it. Her ds 1 was in the other room and her mum and hubbie were with her (with the 2 midwives) so It is just my body that can't deliver babies, not wanting to scare any first timers x

Mij · 10/11/2008 16:33

Feeling v. guilty at having a short fuse with DD. She's pretty exasperating but generally get through threatened sense-of-humour failures with a good tickle or other general silliness that makes us both laugh and breaks the tension. Haven't been able to do that nearly so easily the last few days and worried she's getting a raw deal already!

Patchybob · 10/11/2008 18:23

Hi, I have added myself to the list, in a very cautious, should I be doing this so early kind of way!

I had a m/c in September ar 10 weeks. Amazed to find myself pregnant again 6 weeks later! Very scared that it will all end in tears again, but have decided that I need to live for today and enjoy it!

Wow - how we have grown! Congrats to all, and fingers crossed for lots of sticky beans.

I'm still bloated and not nauseous at all and not even hormonal. In fact, I'm finding my brain is clearer than it has been since I got pg 2.5 years ago! All very mysterious. Thankfully my boobs have finally decided to get slightly tender and I'm a bit peckish as bedtime, so I'm grateful for the little signs. It's all been a bit stressful and hectic at work so I'm wondering if the adrenaline is masking things.

Morning sickness knocked me for six at 6 weeks exactly last time so I'm counting down the days...7 to go Time to stock up on all that nice food before it turns into the devil incarnate!
