Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

Gillyan the waterbirth was fantastic hired the pool and had it up for about 3 weeks before the birth [had heater and filter.]

Dd2 was born underwater I then lifted her out and watched her take her first breath after her head broke the surface was the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

Had pizza delivered about an hour later

The pool was wonderful to relax in, in the last few weeks and the pain relief in gave was instant.

The dc's loved it too and were very disappointed when it went,

i too wolfed down a chinese takeaway tonight - and after half an hour i polished off the remaining prawn toast, very unneccessary and i'm feeling so queasy now. crime doesn't pay...

ooh, natty - I currently have dh wrapping presents as I lie on the sofa groanong about my queasiness and giving orders

have been hunting for the christmas cd today and am going to write cards tomorrow night

i get ridiculously overexcited at christmas - partly i think because of living in egypt and getting all nostalgic about things when i'm far from home. I even choke down a Starbucks Eggnog Latte every year, I hate it but it sounds so festive I have to have one -usually with dh rolling his eyes and muttering "for god's sake just leave it, you're turning green..."

look at you crazy guys up at midnight!

bozette my DH gets migraines. i never realised they were so debilitating. i am so sorry you're going through them.

mav i know what you mean about getting nostalgic and excited when you've been away - Kenyan shops might put up a string of tinsel but with the bright sunshine it never feels that Christmassy.

By the way have new, slightly exotic craving - pomegranate molasses - bought from sainsbury cooks selection bit. Like a very tart, sweet syrupy thing that adds incredible flavour in salads and dips and stuff. Mav might know it as imagine it's big in Egypt. I am pouring it on everything, including current favourite weird salad of tomato and walnut.

I cooked big feast last night for DH, even poured self glass of wine. Sat down, ate salad, drank glass of water, rejected wine, then asked DH to make me toast with philadelphia and hot chocolate before he sat and ate all the food.

nattyturkeyandeggnog making an effort with my name now!

Good morning every one.

ive never had an eggnog latte but had a nice gingerbread one from manchester picadilly when i went on a course the other week. it settled my ms nicely! mavornia you are not painting too great a picture of the eggnog variety - think we should all give them a miss.

re birth pool - i was in the pool with DS in the hospital. i hope its available this time and that i get to stay in it! i was in for about 6 hours then they took me out because DS wasnt cooperating. no good memories after that point. dont think i could fit one in my kitchen though!!

booking in appointment at hospital this morning. taking ds so i hope they have toys!

ps - such gorgeous kids largeglassofred and Nattyturkey&eggnog.

my stomach is also bulging. i got married when i was 10 weeks pregnant with DS and wasnt showing at all. this time only 7 weeks and i look like ive eaten all the pies! to be fair though i was no size 6 to begin with and the gym is not my friend. the only exercise i get is pushing a buggy!

Morning ladies

Sorry for introducing myself a week or so back and then not coming back!! I think i felt too scared at that point to feel "properly" pregnant, IYSWIM.

Anyhow, I had a scan on Wednesday, and we saw TWO little heartbeats. We are so excited, if a little stunned IVF rocks!!! I am 8 weeks today, and feel i can "enjoy" being pregnant, now we've had the scan, despite feeling incredibly sick & tired!

So I'll try and pop in here more frequently now, and keep up with you all. Time is going so quickly. Being twins, they are likely to be early, so we've just realised they could be here in 6 months

Natty - at your bump. Your kids are so cute

Gillyan - at 'the darian' hope it's lovely and comfy.

Mavornia - How did you get your dh to wrap presents? I've even had to wrap my own from dh

Madoldbird - Huge congrats on your twins 3 sets of twins on one thread

Loving the christmas names. I can't be bothered to think of one this year. Last year i was PHOENIXyouamerrychristmas, boring

chrismasiana, I have seen pom molasses in egypt and was never sure what to do with it - mil conveniently misses out a few key ingredients whenever I ask her for a recipe so that I can't reproduce it and perhaps trump her (though I did catch her in the kitchen just before I left Egypt emptying out cartons of rice pudding into a bowl after telling everyone she made it at 6am that morning

i think nigella has a few recipes for it (i have a ridiculous cook book library - will rifle through for you and see if I find anything interesting to do with it)

more twins! how exciting

phoenix, bribery and flattery is the way to go - "that's fantastic, what a perfect job, dad will be thrilled when he sees that, you know how he loves beautifully wrapped gifts, o dear, I feel sick, I'll just lie down here shall I , yes, you carry on, I'll join in after a minute, let me make you a cup of tea [and then I slip into study to play on mumsnet

Having a big old weep for Gingermumi, bedhead and hobnob - ladies I am so very sorry for the loss of your babies.

Feeling wretched. Picked up a cold at work and finished up in A&E last night with an asthma attack. Thankfully I wasn't admitted, and have course of steroids and antibiotics. No scan though. Talked to the MW this morning and they won't check things out without a referral from the GP. Private nuchal scan is on the 22nd so I guess I'll wait until then. My GP is crap, so it doesn't seem worth bothering with that avenue. Sooo worried that some harm has come. Lost lots of my pregnancy symptoms.
Sorry ladies, but I'd give anything to be barfing constantly right now

Oh you poor thing. I know exactly how it is as I was in the emergency doctor three weeks ago with the same thing (and A&E two years ago with a 2 month old DD in car seat - scary!). Here's hoping everything is okay. Maybe your body has enough to worry about - trying to breath and has decided to give you a break from the MS for a bit.

Really sad for the poor ladies who have had losses. Thinking about you lots.
