Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

Just back from an hour and a half at the docs . Gp said as soon as he saw me that i looked anxious and doctors weren't the best people to take BP. He took it and it was still high, as he guessed. He told me to sit out in the waiting room for half an hour and the nurse would check it then. She took it and it was the same as midwife got it this morning so she rang the doc and he said to get a urine sample and test that for glucose (i think .) Not fun weeing on demand . Anyway nurse said urine was ok and to make an appointment with nurse for next Weds to re-check BP Having a tired 2yr old been a pain in the bum in the waiting room isn't good for BP i don't think so hopefully dh will be off to look after him for my next BP check.

God what a long boring post.

LBK · 03/12/2008 17:57

Hi Guys, I'm feeling a bit left out here, I've had no sickness at all (not that I'm complaining mind!) and I am constantly hungry. Someone tell me that this is normal cos I feel like I should feel worse than this!

Having my booking in appt on Saturday so its all very exciting.

gingermumi · 03/12/2008 19:06

Hi ladies hope all ok. Have been bleeing since yesterday but have had a scan and baby still there and has a strong heartbeat. Told to just carry on as normal. They couldn't see any reason for the bleeding and think it might be cervical erosion (?). am hoping lo stays put, mw said lots of people bleed in early pregnancy and some all through.

Wish we had snow here that would make me feel much better!

mickeylou · 03/12/2008 19:25

oh gingermumi - sending you lots of positive thoughts! strong heartbeat sounds very positive at least.

christiana - hiya, yes i managed to make it through the morning vomit free but drank about three cups of hot water and had two ginger nuts in the advocates room. think tongues will be wagging soon.

mum2boys2girls you must be knackered - will work change hours/trips for you?

waiting for DH to get home with lovely pizza and pasta. does anyone else feel sick when they are too hungry. just had to stave it off with a cream cracker.

QueenFee · 03/12/2008 19:32

hobnob I think I just have the sort of figure that works with maternity jeans. I am currently wearing a lovely pair from H&M but my favorite pair (sadly RIP) were a pair from ASDA with a big stretchy panle over the bump
Christiana I am a 32 E so share your prob. I tried a 34 in Mothercare today but it was miles too big even on its tightest setting. I started a thread on here about it a while ago. Bravissimo are good esp if you can get to a store. I use a local bra shop who have great customer service.
saz so sorry x

I cant wait to buy Mamma Mia I enjoyed it so much Christiana!

I have nt exactly got cravings as such not like with DD and I would eat platefulls of pickled onions and beetroot! I did however eat 3 scotch eggs at lunchtime because it was all I fancied between MS bouts

DH is a bit better but having mu MIL here to supposedly help is not too good for my blood pressure shall we say!

Gillyan · 03/12/2008 20:37

Hello

It's snowing here( Cheshire) it's bloody freezing but it makes my sicky feelingfeel a bit better.

Is anyone else getting really worried about the rate at which they are expanding - honestly I'm 8 n half wweks andf I am whopping

I was a size 16 before with 38 F boobies! I'm now in maternity jeans and trousers for work - I have bough a pair of sixe 18/20 pj bottoms and a gorgeous (NOT) support bra from Methercare in a 42 G!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's my second and everyone is winding me up about twins as it runs in the family, but I'm getting really worried that I'm going to do myself some damage

I thought I would of lost weight as I'm no longer drinking wine 3 times a week and I'm eating little and often.

Also got a really bad pain that the doc said is the pregnancy pushing against the space where my appendix was ( I had it out in Feb) and it's all scarred and very sore inside.

Sorry to moan, please someone tell me I'm not alone..... I honestly look about 4/5 months PG

QueenFee · 03/12/2008 21:14

You are not alone if you read back through the thread again you will find most of us complaining abou this. I am wearing my matty stuff already (9wks) and a friend asked me yesterday if I was sure of my dates because I was sooo big!! Its not snowing over here yet

hobnob57 · 03/12/2008 22:42

Urgh. Got that MS that stops you from eating as soon as you start. Hardly managed anything this evening. Please let it stop!

Gillyan · 03/12/2008 23:49

Glad I'm not alone queenfee hope you wake up to lots of snow in the morning!

Hope u feel better hobnob have u tried a nice cool ice lolly? I'm into orange and passionfruit ones at the moment that and a steady diet of:

appletise and lemonade
Kikkats and malteasers
Apples, tangerines and barely ripe bananas

Hope the sickness will pass for us all soon enough

I'm up late as DD has been horribly sick 3 times tonight - she looks so ill.

Hoping for a white over in the morning! Yey snow is good!

Phoenix · 04/12/2008 07:27

We've got lovely snow today , but it's raining now so will prob all disappear soon

Ds was up at 6.30. He normally comes into our bed and watches cbeebies til i think it's a reasonable time to get up but Sky tv wouldn't work in our room so i had to get up.

traceybath · 04/12/2008 07:42

thought i'd join this thread as just got a bfp on monday. Total surprise as we weren't ttc and i'm still bf ds2 whose 11 months (have a 4 year old too).

No idea as to dates but am guessing i'm about 6 weeks although will need dating scan so seeing Dr today to arrange.

Am swinging between shock/excitement/hysteria at the moment as had only planned on having 2 children. Took nearly 2 years to conceive DS2 and as still bf thought chances of getting pregnant were small!

mickeylou · 04/12/2008 09:03

welcome traceybath - wow you are going to have your hands full!!

i am having my morning cup of hot water at my desk. exciting! miss my coffee but the very idea of drinking it makes me ill.

we have no snow just horrible rain and sleet.

have my size 14 suit on again as the 12 is a no go. mil told me yesterday she has taken back my christmas presents as they wont be any good for me now . (she always gets me some really lovely clothes)

oh and i woke up in a pool of pee this morning because DS got in with us in the early hours and wet the bed. great start to the day!!

gingermumi · 04/12/2008 10:27

oh micky poor you!

Still bleeding but have looked it up on loads of sights and when heart beat seen it's a good sign so am hoping all will be ok.

Welocme tracy, like you it took 2 years to make ds so we were a bit surprised when I fell pregnant. DS 11 months today! I have 2 dds too but they are 17 and 20!

Am so glad some of you are wearing maternity jeans, i felt embarrased putting mine on but nothing will do up! Infact yesterday when i went for the scan I wore my normal jeans but left them undone because i didn't want the hpostial to think i was weird! I Will wear them with pride now! BTW newlook had sale of maternity wear on if anyone has a store big enough for maternity dept.

gingermumi · 04/12/2008 10:29

Oh, anyone else getting bad headaches? have had them everyday for three days now, i think it's the hormones, perhaps i'm having a surge or something - that would explain the bleeding and headaches i suppose.

Gillyan · 04/12/2008 12:22

Welcome traceybath

Hope you're okay gingermummy I got bad migrains last time I was PG but notihing yet this time, I think headaches can plague PG women though. I had a small bleed and everything was okay so fingers crossed for you.

naturopath · 04/12/2008 13:18

hello all, seem to have missed loads.. been busy with work. On the foods that make me feel less sicky subject:

Passionfruit juice (Maaza does a good one)
Appletiser/Peartiser
Grape juice
tinned pears

er, that's about it.

It's really wierd bc in my last pg there were certain foods I could eat and certain foods I couldn't. Now it seems I could turn off anything!! What is good for one day makes me feel ill the next (eg Nesquick). Where's the logic in that??

Think I'm going out to get an ice cream now - DH had one last night and the bite I had was really good.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 04/12/2008 17:25

ok i had my scan, saw the hearbeat, so fingers crossed everything is going to be ok.

im in maternity too, and my friend who is due at the same time is also in them, so we are not alone ladies lol

its silly isnt it cos we know its not the baby, babys are only like a few cms.. but it must be water retention or something who knows?

QueenFee · 04/12/2008 19:28

I suppose our uterus's are now the sizeof a grapefuit so somewhat bigger than before - theres a placenta to carry and all that water of course we need maternity jeans now!

I must admit I also feel a bit silly wearing them this soon but I feel so sick I just dont care as want to be comfortable if nothing else!

No snow but then I realised later that I am on the same side of the pennines so it was never really going to happen We hardly ever get snow too close to the sea. Still its worth it in the summer...

Whos got there tree up yet?

mum2boys2girls · 04/12/2008 19:30

Thats great news Nattyturkeyandeggnog must be a huge relief can't wait for mine !!

Felt really sick all day but found a jacket potato for lunch really helped .

Mickeylou as soon as I tell work I will be grounded and relocated to a different section in the company which can be really good all depending where your sent !!!

Got a crazy week coming up my DD1 birthday and high school musical party , Nativity plays , Christmas carol service and a Christingle service at the church just hope I have the energy to keep up , I find it really hard to stay wake past 7pm .

Pheonix you are right I did do that around hugs I am such a computer dummy can just about switch it on so thats how you do links not that I would ever be able to do that
