Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

I really feel revolting. Think I'm going to have to tell my boss today as I am pathetic and a shadow of my former self. Trying so hard to keep food down but retching and bilious mouthfuls do not help with constant and persistent and high grade nausea. It's there all day and all night! Where's my breather?

[very poorly sick emoticon]
[feeling sorry for myself emoticon]

Why does it have to last 12 weeks as well??

Wishing I was one of those ladies who sails through early pg with no nausea at all.

Queenfee your week sounds hideous although the fact you ate curry has almost made me retch let alone a sick bug!

Hi guys, good to hear I'm not the only one feeling a bit rough with MS.

belgrano I really feel for you. You sound like I felt last pg and it was hideous. I was constantly in awe that this was 'normal' and just something I had to put up with. I swear that if men got MS then a whole lot more research would be done into it! I am so thankful that so far this time things have been much milder for me.

Jetli welcome I'm finding tonic water to be the drink of the moment when out for lunch.

queenfee what a nightmare for you . Is dh ok? Time for some time off work/home for you in order I think! My DH has had man flu all weekend and was off work today. He's just woken up, so I've come back from a manic day at work (the non-stop, lunch-on-the-go kind) and had to deal with dd's tea, bath and bed and may well even have to cook my own too [sad/queasy emoticon]

scully thanks for the nice thought, but I think I'll be going at work right until the end of term (2 weeks before due date) if I am able - it works out much better that way for me. And I think I'm crawling to the end of this one.....!

I really think I'm going to have to own up soon - my belly is just too big and bloaty not to be a serious putting on weight concern!

Anyone else remembering just how annoying matty jeans are? Has anyone found any that will ever stay up?! I had under-bump ones last time with adjustable back of waist and was constantly hoiking them up. This time I ordered some over-bump ones from blooming marvellous and they seem to be worse! at the though of goodness how many more months of this ahead again...

mavornia · 01/12/2008 19:08

how awful for you, queenfee - hope you're all feeling better soon

i've struggled into the living room, decided that there's just no point in trying to be ill around dh. he comes in every five minutes to announce "i'm getting really sick, i can feel it, i better start an antibiotic" or the thing guaranteed to get me up on my feet - "i'll ask my mother to come round"

ds (20 months) has been killing himself laughing at the cinderella dvd we have on. there is a scene where a cat is sitting outside a door and the door closes and it sets him off like a wobbling jelly for some bizarre reason. really cheered me up - his giggling is so infectious. then he bit my cheek and hung on like a little rat, had to prise his jaw open which wasn't so amusing...

Hello all

So sorry to hear peoples sad news, lots of love and best wishes.

Been away all weekend on a 'flying' 500 mile round trip to my parents. Stayed at my mum's and then went to my dad's partners house Saturday afternoon his and DD's joint b'day party. Had a v nice time but extremely tired after all the driving and DD is full of cold again so was up late trying to settle her once we got home last night.

Got my sis staying with us at the moment which is nice as i can sit on the sofa and slump relax whilst she runs round after DD!

MS not quite as bad as it has been which naturally means I am now having a mad panic about a missed mc but my doc has already ruled out any early scans so will just have to pull myself together and hope for the best.

Will post again soon when I get a chance!!

Lots of love xxx

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 01/12/2008 19:45

OH HOBNOB I KNOW!!
How uncomfortable are maternity jean? i always end up in black trousers for 9n months lol..
best soultion atm is buying cheap primark jeans that are a size too big.
only advice i can offer.. but the GOOD thing is that we will be pregnant in the summer this time, so dresses and flip flops will be my wardrobe, cardi if a bit chilly.. im gonna look like my mum
oh well least i'll be comfy

Patchybob · 01/12/2008 20:11

Hello everyone...

I have been keeping a low profile, but reading all the goings on every day!!

I had a m/c in September so am terrified of a repeat. Am feeling quite sick and have very sore boobs though and all of that went before my m/c so feeling things are ok at the moment. I have arranged an early scan next wednesday just for peace of mind as am going mad. Will be 8+5 then.

Am craving monster munch crisps at the moment, they are so revolting in real life that even my dog won't eat them!!

lydiathetattooedlady · 01/12/2008 20:16

evening ladies, i had my booking an appointment today. starting to seem real now! midwife did that wheel thing and apparently im 8+5 i thought i was 8 weeks yesterday so feel pleased to add a few days on!
after doing all the family history q's and noting my mum had twins, i said how i was worried as i felt quite big already, she looked at my tummy and said that she may be delivering two eek!
as my toen birth centre is so small i have to have scans at the city hospital but it is likely to be middle of january as she said they were booked up til new year ten days ago oh BUM!
how is everyone feeling anyway, i've developed a taste for schloer and have necked 3 bottles since yesterday's shopping!

lydiathetattooedlady · 01/12/2008 20:23

oh and a customer at work also asked if i was due after xmas MORTIFIED! im just glad i am pregnant or that could have been embarrassing!

JetLi · 01/12/2008 20:28

Had my booking appointment at the hospital this morning, plus a scan and some blood tests. Could see the heartbeat and all looks good.

Unhappily I then had a bit of a bleed this afternoon. But there has been no pain and it seems to have cleared up for now. Feeling a bit panicky so have taken to my bed. Community mw said not to worry.

hobnob57 · 01/12/2008 20:31

[sigh of relief] at thought of nice comfy summer dresses

Maybe leggings too for those nasty ankle days?

Hmmm. Nope, just long dresses methinks.

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 01/12/2008 20:35

lol hobnob we could sport oh so sexy leg warmers lol lol lol

LargeGlassofMilkshake · 01/12/2008 20:50

ooh can't wait for summer dresses other three were all winter babies so going to be nice to do the end bit in the sun

JetLi- am sure your 'll be ok. if stopped and only small had this with both girls and its scary but I think no pain is a good sign.

Lovely hearing everyones news, am another tattoo fan have a stars and roses design on my lower back [on profile]

Dp has a full sleave and lots of others.

Had an awful weekend with the dreaded sickness bug but so much better today,

Can't wait till scan friday.

LargeGlassofRed · 01/12/2008 20:52

ooh and totally gone off milkshake

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 01/12/2008 20:59

ive got a scan thursday, feeling very nervous, but hopefully will get a picture

QueenFee · 01/12/2008 21:00

Hi thanks for everyones support
DH got home tonight but he is supposed to feel sorry for himself in bed for a week so I now have 4 children instead of 2! (Sick husband = work of 2 children
I will demand a week off from my boss (me - SAHM) when its all over!

As for maternity jeans I love mine and best of all one long black jersey dress that is all I can wear by the end - I have just bought this one and it looks gorgeous on. Dress it up or down go anywhere kind of thing
this one it looks better on than in the pic.

hobnob57 · 01/12/2008 21:04

Sorry Jetli didn't see your post before - lots of fingers crossed for you. Lucky you to have had a scan so early!

What is it with MS and food fickleness? Last night I could hardly touch my tea and tonight I wolfed down sausages and mash and am hungry again but gut is bubbling and I'm not sure how to reconcile the two.

HOW many more weeks of this?!

sorry. I seem to be ranting these days.

I'm intrigued Queenfee at what kind of jeans you have that makes them so comfy....

Or is it just that I have no hips to speak of to hold them up? (don't be jealous - I make up for it in the belly department. A typical apple shape, me!)

And while I'm on a roll, is anyone else whose abs didn't ever meet in the middle again finding that they feel like their gut is being squashed out through the gap?! I think that's where most of my 'bump' is coming from!

LargeGlassofRed · 01/12/2008 21:12

I know christiana can't imagine when i'll be able to face it again.

Never bought maternity from gap before will ahve to have a look,
Do you know what the leg lengths are like? find it hard getting maternity trousers long enough as I'm 6ft.

o christiana, I love gap's long and lean jeans

my friend practically dragged me into gap years ago when she'd had enough of my M&S high waisted numbers. I wouldn't have looked near the long and lean ones but she convinced me to try some on and i sashayed out of that store feeling like a fox!

forgot they did maternity stuff, going to have a nose around when I finally get to belfast next sunday
